Found one of those little knat flies in my wonton soup... This might not be a huge deal for some people, but for me its a huge turn off to the establishment. I know that they cook a big batch of the soup and serve it out as people order it, but they should keep the lid closed so that no bugs or any other non-ingredients get into the soup. I called immediately after finding it to let them know they need to toss that batch out, but I dont think thats what they had in mind. They did offer me a refund or a new soup, but I didnt feel like driving all the way back for a $3 cup of soup and the guy who picked up the phone had a bit of an attitude despite me being really nice about what I found in my food. The other items I ordered were ok, but I had a weird feeling eating and couldnt really enjoy it. Will I go back? Probably not. To be honest, Good Fortune Cafe has better food and I can attest to the cleanliness because Ive been eating there for years.

Nothing was wrong with the food or service other than the food being bad. I ordered lo mein, beef and broccoli and egg rolls. I would say it wasnt authentic but it didnt even seem restaurant quality for American chinese. Firstly, nothing was sauce like, it was water like. The beef and broccoli was literally in a puddle of almost clear liquid that had no flavor other than beef water. Honestly I could get the same quality if I made it at home with chucked beef and boiled broccoli. The lo mein also was watery. Nothing had a built glaze/flavor sauce. The noodles and broccoli were super over cooked too. The egg roll had a mix of meat in it, including shrimp, beef and chicken. Very weird and not that great anyways. It cost almost $25 total and I would not ever go back. Update: I threw away the left overs because it just wasnt tasty at all and I had no desire to eat it again. Google simple beef and broccoli recipe, and itll taste way better.

I purchased combo lo mein and shrimp fried rice from happy uncle on March 6th 2013 on a Wednesday of last week. I ate the lo mein Wednesday evening and my girlfriend ate some of the shrimp fried rice. I woke up around 4:30 in the morning with stomach pain and around 7:30 am i began throwing up violently. I was sick and throwing up that whole day... my girlfriend said that the fried rice did not bother her so she ate some more later on that day. She later took a nap and when she woke up, she said she did not feel well, and began to throw up even worse than i did. I recommend that nobody eats anything from happy uncle in Germantown until the health inspector does a full inspection of that establishment

We ordered for our whole office and were very unpleased because the chicken was dry and tasted old. We called to inform them not asking for a refund but more of an explanation and the "manager" he said his name was Jessie was extremely rude and said "if you dont like our food go somewhere else !" And proceeded to hang up. the food is disgusting and so is their customer service. If I could do negative stars I would ! NEVER ORDER FROM THEM!!!

Weve been ordering from Happy Uncle for years and have only experienced great and consistent customer service and food. Whether were dining in the quiet family restaurant, where we as customers receive free jasmine tea, or doing carryout or delivery, Happy Uncle hasnt let us down yet. Try the duck or chicken skewers. Ive lived in Germantown since this place opened which has been over 10 years ago now and its managed to deliver some of the best chinese food in Germantown consistently. 5/5 concidering its the same prices of all the other generic caryout/delivery chinese places in Germantown but tastes much better. Its the only chinese menu we keep in the house for ordering delivery :)

I love this Happy Uncle Chinese foods. You will love their lunch buffet, the price is really nice and yummy food. You can try to eat everythings what they have. I tried a lot of place but this restaurant has great food. Not too much salty. I recommend a hot & sour soup. This is really good when you feel chill and cold...

If I could give negative stars I would. Very poor customer service. When I called about the overcharge on my order the guy laughed, said they changed their menu yesterday. The crab ragoon was very salty and very little stuffing. Wont order from there again!

I have been going to this place for years, and its a coin toss as to how the food will actually taste. this time, I got VERY sick 4 hours after eating it. I was vomiting, and had bad diarrhea from 2am-4pm. WTAF? wont be ordering from here again.

Best Chinese food in Germantown, hands down!! Coming from NY, I have been searching for good chinese food for years down here. Have tried many dishes, including Hunan Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Lemon Chicken, all REALLY GOOD!!

Food is good, ask for less salt though. Crazy expensive for one person. The cook had a bandaid on his finger while cooking my food, yuck. The lady on the front counter yells at everything too.

I just had a delivery for the first time, and the chinese food was much better than most places. It seemed like fresh food, and was cooked well. Was also at my door in under 20 minutes.
