Saw the sign ,hit the brakes did a hard right turn .this is my favorite place now, there is nothing on the menu ,I do not like. I told the server to take me on a culinary trip through their menu ,she did not fail me . Every sampling was excellent ,I tried everything on the menu at least 1 item of each the cooked items in 8 piece so ,we had to do this. I have to say the server guided us through a great food adventure Chloe was so helpful in our culinary sampling ,thank you Chi Japanese Cuisine. ,. Returned. August 13 2017. Again for another try at the menu but was going to find a different place to try, My saw the sign an hinted lets go there again. Guess what we did Monica waited on us with this huge friendly smile. We were seated across from the prep bar an was able to watch sushi chefs with smiles working . If you havent been here yet they have this all you can eat menu which has everything they make listed, you just select and they keep serving until you cant select any more. (Note) you can change to any item an they will keep bringing it. Ive been able now to try 50% of the menu. I can not find anything I would not try again. I have this thing to like or dislike a food sampling you need to try it 7 times. ,no problem I cant find anything I didnt like . Ive added 17 more photos . Chatted with people at the next table ,it was their second time and they loved it. Well I am a huge fan an so is my wife and she doesnt like sushi . We are hooked. Enjoy the new photos Note Now to those bad reviews I have read hey 1: whats with you only noticing the seating try the food. 2: Smelled fishy. (( Its a sushi bar)) yes it does smell fishy . 3: If the waitress wasnt smiling were you ,try it watch the atmosphere change.

Ive been going to Chi for years. Ive never had a bad encounter until tonight. The all you can eat menu is advertised and as far as I can see there is no fine print that states everyone at the table has to eat from that menu. It states that kids all you can eat is $15.95. My 10 year old relative was charged $25.95. First reason, I guess she looked older than 10. Her mom confirmed with waitress and she was ok. Manager comes over and states 12 and under. When he was told she is 10, he then states she has to be under 5ft. Her mom confirmed that she is 411. He then wanted to stand and argue that shes over 5ft. He then states they base the pay on the height and weight of the child. I didnt say anything because I didnt want to make the situation worse, but look on her face confirmed that he hurt her feelings. We paid and left. Be sure to ask questions before deciding to order because clearly theres fine print that says if your child is not the size of a Barbie, you will be charged for an adult all you can eat.

Very disappointed in this place. My husband and mother-in-law were very excited to try the All You Can Eat menu, and I was along for the ride to get a bowl of noodles (for one, do not eat sushi and secondly I do not do anything all you can eat). The waitress said I could order off the normal menu, but when it came time to order I was told I could not eat off the regular menu- I also had to eat off the AYCE menu. We were soon joined by the rude manager Sam who rolled his eyes at me when I said that its fine I will just not eat. At this point everyone at the table was mad and frustrated (including my two kids who got to witness the whole debacle). We drove all the way from Tomball for a pleasant meal and got anything but that. Rude service, not clear advertising of the product, not able to order off the menu...? I mean really, really disappointing.

My wife and I have been to Chi a few times. I like the food, but love the atmosphere. Most of our visits have taken place late in the evening. Either after a concert at the Pavillion or on the way home from an event in the city. At that time, the restaurant pumps up dance music and offers a happy hour menu. The prices are cheaper, the quality is still great. I really like the fusion of dance music, sushi and good service. I will honestly say that the late night scene there isnt for everyone. You end up eating while attending a Justice or Skrillex concert, but the combination works for me. If you arent into that combination, dining during the day or early evening might be better for you.
