While the customer service was decent, we werent even slightly impressed by the food. The sides werent bad, but nothing to call home about. The meat? My husband barely touched his turkey. It was too soft and practically the consistency of sliced turkey you can get at any deli, but not even the high quality kind. It lacked flavor, which was quite disappointing. The sausage wasnt much different, it was very soft and didnt have much flavor either. The chicken was ok, but again, nothing special, even though I was told it would have a kick. It didnt. But what was really disappointing was the brisket. No real smoke ring, kind of dry, and not very flavorful. It looked like it was seared and then shoved in an oven for far too long. While it was a thick cut, it just wasnt impressive at all in flavor. I must have tried a new sauce because people rave about it but it was just as underwhelming as the meat, although it did a decent job at giving the meat SOME flavor. The ribs that we saw while ordering were tiny with barely any meat on them. I suppose that I wouldnt be as disgruntled by the almost mediocre BBQ (come on, this is Texas, step it up), if it werent for the outrageous cost. To top it off, it was dark inside and we all froze while eating our food because the A.C. was on so incredibly high. The area behind where you get your food looked rather dark and a bit dingy as well. We didnt even show up at the end of the day, we were there 50 minutes after they opened, and yet their food was nothing worth trying again. Maybe they just had an off day, but for $50 to feed a family of 4, with my kids barely even wanting to eat what they normally love, I cant justify giving it another try. Definitely wont be coming back to pay that much for food that wasnt very impressive.

Mixed feelings about this place. The friendly staff and positive music playing was appreciated. Kinda liked the old school feel and cafeteria-like thingy going on too, but we came for the BBQ! Ordered two sandwich specials - one sliced brisket and one pulled pork. The pork was decent but the brisket tasted like it had been sliced earlier and was sitting in some water with a lil liquid smoke or possibly cooked in a crock pot. Thats sacrilegious in smokemaster terms. The sides, macaroni n cheese, pasta salad, cole slaw and baked potato were all about average. The macaroni was probably least appetizing of the four. They have one homemade BBQ sauce to offer and it wasnt bad. Our two specials and 2 IBC Root Beers came to $26. Overall, for the price and all things considered, we will most likely try another local BBQ establishment next time in town.

We just walked in for a late Saturday lunch. Good smokey bbq aroma soon as you enter, unfortunately the food didnt taste as good as it smelled. Ribs were really mild tasting and needed salt, also quite a bit on the oily side (left 1/2 of the half rack uneaten because of it).The moist brisket was also a under seasoned. The sides were horrible - had mac&cheese (overcooked, mushy, little to no cheese flavor) and bbq pinto bean (no bbq flavor at all, under seasoned). Best thing we had was a fried cherry pie (which an outside vendor made). The staff was friendly and helpful. But $38 for 2 combo plates and 2 sodas is too much for mediocre food.

I can understand that i misordered or that I didnt express what i wanted well enough but this is ridiculous. I asked when i came in do you have an everything baked potato.. I got sold a sandwich with potato on the side. I even asked about it a second time... When i got home here is the potato I was served and when I called you were closing. Actually thats probably what it was the whole time, you were closing and I got the prize of the day... rotten potato and sandwich for 20 bucks Since i cant attach a picture ill send it in an email to corporate or post it on your site. At least the pie was good

The meats are pretty good, but this place is very greedy and stingy with the portions they give you for the high prices they charge. I believe if you going to charge high prices, best believe Im going to expect you to give me a good portion (my moneys worth) of food. Cant stand greedy and stingy and thats just what this place is. Also I dont like a resturaunt who weighs your food on a scale. Who does that? I meant you dont weigh my money when I give it to you. Wont be going back. Bottom line: Get what you pay for!!!! They will probably get more business if they werent so stingy.

Mouth watering deliciousness! One of my favorite BBQ restaurants in the metroplex. Any excuse we can get to come here we do. Its conveniently located near Texas Stadium and the Ballpark, but just check their hours so you can make sure they arent closed. Ive never had a disappointing meal here. Ordering is cafeteria style where you start by ordering your meats and then select your sides. I always order the brisket baked potato, macaroni and cheese, and banana pudding. They have all the barbecue classics and everything tastes fresh. Highly recommend this BBQ joint! You cant go wrong!

Ok so my experience with this establishment .. Customer service is ok .. Had to wait through long line to cash out thinking I would get my food at the end where I cash out.. Makes sense ..Nope. Then you wait another 5 min if your lucky more like 10+ for your food if your dining in. Food : Mediocre at best ... The previous reviews on that smokey flavor in the air but not in the food , ITS TRUE ! Im from Florida where theres plenty of glorious homemade BBQ , this place is a disgrace to BBQ ordered 4 ribs and a sloppy Joe for $14 +

5 times Ive been here over the past 6 months. Sadie was not done and was cold on one occasions. Sadie overcooked and brown on another visit. Have tried 3 times lately to eat there either they are out of food or close early because they ran out of food ...not sure why they run the business this way Im not happy and advised them of the issue but seems to go in deaf ears. So I wont waste my time and gas to visit any of their locations because you never know what to expect. Sorry just saying the truth.

Havent been here for a few years because of an incident that happened. I used to love this place, and I usually come here with family and enjoy great BBQ. Until I came one day and had great customer service, but the food was terrible. I had gotten something that was very undercooked and ended up getting sick to the point of running out the restaurant to the nearest trash can. Whats to say about their food now? I dont have an opinion because I wont be back.

Delicious BBQ and wonderful staff. Line is self serve and then you find yourself a table but they will clear it for you once youre done. Food is on a first come first serve basis because they cook fresh on the daily so there is a chance of them selling out but you can always call ahead to reserve your food and even if they sell out yours is saved. Definitely a great place to recommend and close to tourist attractions if youre an out of towner.
