My experience at Spring Creek Barbeque was not as good as it could have been. The food was delicious as expected. Most employees were polite and helpful. The decor was good but needs some TLC in some places. However, the manager that night needs some constructive feedback on his style of management. The issue started in that I brought a coupon in that had fine print that said it was only valid from Sunday through Thursday and I was there on Saturday. I asked the server if this coupon was valid for other entrees in additions to the ribs that were advertised. He said no problem, what would you like? When I got to the register, the manager warned me that the coupon was not valid. I said it would have nice to be warned when I asked about the terms of the coupon earlier. The line that got me and prompted this review was the “You should have read the coupon more closely.” – No compassion, no “I wish I could”, etc. more of a “tough luck that the way it is” attitude. It had been quite a while since I dined at Spring Creek and will probably be quite a while I until I return. The food is good but be careful what to expect from the service.

Spring Creek BBQ is one of if not the worst barbecue restaurants Ive ever been to. Cafeteria BBQ places are a joke to begin with, but Spring Creek manages to make the rest of them (Colters, Dickeys, etc.) look like five-star establishments. On a positive, the chicken was fairly juicy and cooked (well, three of the four pieces were fully cooked). The brisket was either all fat or about as dry as a piece of old leather (so, try an old boot . . . same texture). Their sides looked like they were put together out of box mixes and cans two days prior, and the taste reflected that, sitting in a tepid pool of juices and water. If many of you think this is good barbecue, then I would advise you to go to areas like KC, Memphis, Raleigh, Chattanooga, Birmingham, or Atlanta where they know what BBQ really is, and they realize that their reputation depends on the quality AND quantity of the food they serve. Spring Creek is just epic failure on about every level. If this is the epitome of "Texas BBQ" (and I do not at all think it is), then Texas needs to stick to its reputation of beef and Tex-Mex.

This restaurant seems to be going downhill, most likely because of a lack of business. The soda fountain was out of syrup and the employees didnt know how to change it. The food was dry and seemed to have been sitting out all day and the customer service was lacking. We went here for a special family dinner and instead were met with disappointment. Sad to say it may be a while before we visit again.

Fun place. Their ribs are reliably, consistently, and comfortingly delicious. Nothing to rave about and I wouldnt bring a first-timer to Texas BBQ here for their introduction. But, tis is a family tradition to frequent this place (well, the one in Bedford, but this is just as good).

I love the pork ribs! Wife loves the chopped brisket and smoked turkey. We eat here at least once per month. The sauce is the best in the metroplex. I like to dip their unlimited yeast rolls in the sauce. I could make a meal of that alone.

Friendly staff and tasty BBQ sauce. Although they didnt have baked potatoes ready (I rolled in about an hour to close), the staff, beef, and sauce were worth the time.
