AMAZING! First of all, the people who own it do all the work. I mean they take orders, work the cash register, make the food and serve it. Plus, theyre all SUPER nice. After he took our order, we had a pretty long conversation about how we found the place with the owner. Then someone else who worked there came out from behind the counter to catch up with one of their regular customers. And the lady who brought us our food (also one of the owners, I think) could not possibly have been sweeter to us. Everyone is great, but that isnt why you go there. The food, WONDERFUL! It is the best bbq in the entire metroplex. My husband and I would know, because weve been trying to find anything comparable to the bbq-Mecca that is Austin, Texas. Up until this point, weve had little success. I dont know if I can say its better than places like The Salt Lick or County Line (that might border on blasphemy), but is definitely comes close. I had the brisket sandwich, which was perfect on buttery bread with tangy bbq sauce that was a little sweet and a little spicy. My husband had the ribs, and they stood up to his very high standards. I tried them and they were AMAZING. I know the meat is the real reason you eat bbq, but let me just tell you about the other-worldly experience I had with their mac and cheese. No other mac and cheese will every compare. It was rich and creamy and perfect. If expensive, five-star restaurants served mac and cheese, this is the mac and cheese they would serve. And food critics would quit their job, because they found the perfect side dish. I absolutely cannot wait to go back and try the peach cobbler. That will be the true test, but Im assuming theyll pass with flying colors.

Theyre nice enough, nobody was mean or dismissive. I ordered two pulled pork sandwiches to go. They were almost $6 each and tiny! Picture a McDonalds kids meal burger bun with two tablespoons of pork and youre there. I waited 15 minutes. The texture said pulled pork but the only taste was jalapeños and grease. The included sauce was unusable. After they give you your total but before you get the food, they put an iPad type display in your face which says "no tip", "15% tip" and upwards, the implication being you will give them 15% more for a takeout order or someone will spit (or worse) in your food. Carry cash if you go and avoid this. Very much a touristy, assembly line, McDonalds type experience but with three times the money and half the food. Americans, especially those from the rural South, do not travel or even carry passports and I think this is what accounts for all of the high praise in other reviews. I weep for folks who will live and die in Texas and never know what good barbecue really is if this is the best Texas has to offer. The other reviewer was correct, Dickeys is vastly better even in their California locations. In short, the quality and quantity just isnt there for the money and I will not return. Someone in Texas recommended this place and I still have to figure out how to get even with him.

Truly service with a smile and good eats. These guys are a small business that really takes the time to get to know their consumers. With this said, the atmosphere is straight simple and to point. Youre there to eat and enjoy your food with a smile. Now, to the food....the amount food provided with the 2 meat 2 side combo was great and filling. I do have say that what made the top of my list were their "Fat Japs". Its a set of 3 pretty good sized jalapeños stuffed with cream cheese and pulled pork, wrapped in bacon and pulled pork...finally smoked.....yummy. Anything with bacon is good just to begin with. The business is run by the owners, so be sure to ask them what the secret is to eating their "Fat Japs" if you try them. I was not a local, but an outta towner and looking forward to doing eating their food again. Oh yeah, one last thing.....best sweet tea Ive had in a while. Keep in mind there are other BBQ joints around, but this was my lucky choice and may not be fitting to everyone. Hope those that dine there also are able to enjoy this as much as I have. Thank you again guy....EXCELLENT FOOD and SERVICE!

I worked at a barbecue joint for nearly a decade and it doesnt even hold a candle to this place. I was first greeted by Al, the owner. Hes super friendly and wants and asks for your honest opinion on the food. Its a good thing I had lots of positive to say! First off: Beef brisket is as good as it gets. I mean it! Its the best Ive ever had. The pulled pork is great, too! If you get either of these in a slider, youll be loving it. Try the sliders with the fire and ice pickles and a tiny bit of sauce and youre in heaven. The ribs: if you watch the competitions on TV, theyd give these two thumbs up. Moist, tender, juicy. I also enjoyed the spicy sausage paired with the yeast rolls. Can you tell I love this place? The sides are decent, but I didnt come for the sides. Mac and Cheese is really creamy, but I like cheddar in my mac, so this was just ok for me. Pinto beans are great (remind me of my moms), the cole slaw isnt runny like I like it and the potato salad is pretty good. All in all, 5 stars. Great place to sit and have a sandwich or to take it home and devour. Best part of eating in: BYOB!!!

The BEST BBQ I have ever eaten! The mac and cheese is gourmet. Every month or so I will go in on a Friday after work and get their family 6 pack which feeds 6-8 people. My husband and I feast Friday - Sunday on nothing but their food. We both have to have our own mac and cheese. I will not share!! The brisket is amazing and the rotiserie chicken is unlike anything Ive ever had. This is serious food, but created in a very warm, welcoming atmosphere. They always greet you with a smile and make you feel great. If you have an occasion where you need something to really stand out from the normal, try Fat Cow. Once and youll be hooked! Also, for heat lovers - everything has a kick to the tastebuds! I have had Texas BBQ all my life and never experienced this type of flavor. You cant go wrong with anything on the menu. Tell em Sally Cakes sent ya ;)

The Mac & Cheese was good, so were the beans. The coleslaw was not; it had no sauce (vinegar or mayonnaise) as a BBQ coleslaw should. Also, Lays potato chips as a side choice on the meat plates? Dont think Ive seen that at a BBQ place before. Also, strangely the meat optionns are mostly pulled? Pulled Brisket, Pulled Chicken, and Pulled Pork? I would have much rather preferred normal sliced meats as an option. They do offer ribs, and sausage as well as stuffed jalapenos "Fat Japs" (all political correctness aside). Place was super empty, 14 tables and a sitting bar and it was just 2 of us. We have seen this place in the shopping center so we wanted to try it. Overall it wasnt bad, however I dont think we will be coming back.
