I got a plate of ribs, the green beans, and mac and cheese. The mac and cheese and green beans tasted like theyd been sitting out all day. I ordered half a rack of ribs and got like three burnt ribs with a pile of fat instead of three more ribs. The meat that was present was pretty tender though. The menu is barely even present with the information that youd need to assess prices, and I was unaware of how much the meal was going to be. Also who charges $3 for a drink? The food isnt worth the price in the end, but it is edible and the people are friendly, I guess. Atmosphere is also lacking. Most of the tables were filled with garbage from previous customers and it was pretty dark. The only constant source of light was the large TV playing fake court shows. Wasnt expecting to be serenaded by judge Mathis the entire time. All in all, not what we were expecting but still not hungry anymore. This mythical loaded baked potato probably would have made the experience better but we werent motivated to get it.

NO NO NO NO NEVER AGAIN We had lunch there today and this place is not a 4 star its not a 3 star its not a 2 star.... the ribs seemed as thought hey had been there for days... and the brisket lacked flavor. When i got my plate it was smothered in thier bbq sauce so as to where i couldnt not see how dry everything was..... my two sides were macaroni and greens. which were ok but nothing special. there is no way you could pay me to eat here again. this was not bbq. this was meat drowned in sauce. If you are thinking of eating here there are several taquarias in the area that you palete will thank you for. This bbq place is not one of them. I have been around a while and to me it seemed like they were taking shortcuts to keep the doors open. Gues what Fred it shows..... I am sorry to say that i would not take my worst enemy to this joint.... on top of that is was pretty expensive. Avarage price for good bbq but for whati got on my plate should not hav ebeen more than 10 dollars. Sorry fred you are out.

Because I have gotten the Baked Potato and it was too over cooked. Once they put everything on top I couldnt even tell or taste the potato. When I saw them making it, I should have changed my mind then.. mashed potatoes would have been better. The toast was not good, they only toasted one side of the bread which made it stale. The BQ on top was not too bad.. I asked for half of my money back, all I gotten was a thank you... I took my food back and just left it for them to throw away..

The only redeeming quality is the loaded potato, everything else felt over priced . The place is pretty filthy also. Cob webs everywhere, cooking pots and equipment stored in trash bags. It would not take much to clean up and make the place nice.i wouldnt feel as bad paying $3.50 for a small slice of cake if I couldnt go across the street and buy the whole cake for the same price at Fiesta.

Best barbecue place around always friendly service I always get the Rockabye Baby its a stuffed potato it starts out as an open potato with cheese sour cream and barbecued beans topped with chopped brisket and sliced pork or beef sausage with barbecue sauce on top they call it the rockabye baby because it will put you to sleep. Reasonable prices for what you get. RIP Leon Brown aka Fred

For the area, Freds has the Best BBQ! The brisket is tender. The sausage is well seasoned. The Texas toast for the sandwiches is toasted well. I didnt prefer the peach cobbler because the crust which was golden brown tasted like it had egg in it and Ive grown to dislike egg. The total experience from the greeting, friendly faces, smoky vibe and perfect food made me happy.

I hear all this talk about how great the food is, try to go to the website to get the menu, so me and my co workers can place our lunch order, and the website is down. I call, and and ask if could get a menu faxed, the lovely lady, says she is way too busy to fax anything to me. They just lost out on an additional 5 plates because of their lack of customer service.

Worst experience, I ordered #1 bake potato, peach cobbler and 2 slices of toast!! When I checked out I ask, "is my peach cobbler inside, she said "yes." I get home no dessert and 1slice of regular bread and I call the place and they said, " the grill wasnt working." And that she just charge me for a potato $12# very disappointing

Waaaay overpriced!!! Couldnt find any meat in the brisket. Sausage was ok but nothing to speak of. Sides were out of a can. No atmosphere (which is a plus and what I expect out of the best restaurants) and nothing notable about the service. Too many other good BBQ joints around to bother coming back.

The plates are just ok nothing how they have them displayed in the order pictures. Peach cobbler too doughy for my taste the meat was tender or what not but had NO pit taste, flavor, smell at All! more like oven baked or steamed cooked. The best thing they have going is the stuffed baked potato

Worst BBQ I have ever had. The meat was not smoked for a second, the sauce was mostly ketchup, the green beans were straight out of the can, the mashed potatoes were straight out of the box, and I got a can of coke..... For $15!!!!! Please GOD dont ever go to the worst BBQ joint in Texas.

Went there to pick up my baked potato order. Literally it will be your meal for the entire day. Was worth the amount I paid for. I dont care what people say, but that baked potato gets stuffed with beans and meat and all other things you want to put it in it.

Had a loaded baked potato which consists of two meats, beans, bbq sauce on top of potato. (Grilled onions and jalapenos are optional) It was very flavorful. Fred prepares the plates, hes a nice guy with a sense of humor.

Had the brisket, there was not even a hint of smoke flavor, bbq sauce is 90% ketchup, bbq beans taste canned with a hint of vinegar?? The cloleslaw was decent. Will not be eating here again

Nothing smoked... Sauge cold and sides straight from the can no flavor... Chicken nasty.... A waste of time and money.... Never again. Please dont waste your time and money like I did.

Very old decor. Not very tidy. Older crowd. Brisket sandwich was average. Potato was quite hard and hard to eat. Every thing is on very small plates or styrofoam. Will not return.

great place to get some BBQ and if you want a fully loaded baked potato this is the best place to go! The food is awesome and Fred is great makes you feel like your at home!

I did not get to meet Fred but the woman who waited on me was very friendly. I have had better barbecue, but this was pretty good 7 out of 10. I would eat here again.
