This was my first time at this location and WOW. Let me tell you, I am as picky as it gets when it comes to Chinese food, tasted everything from good to bad, even though this may be a little out of my way and dozen other Chinese restaurants between my house and Rice Pot, this is it. No longer do I have to look for another good Chinese restaurant. My wife always gets General Tsos no matter where we go, and she thought this was the best General Tsos. After trying a few bites myself I had to agree with her statement. The egg-drop soup was also done right. Not too dense like some places overdo it, just right. I had the Happy Family and in my opinion its something that can taste awful real quick if not done right. So to put this place to a test thats exactly what i ordered. WOW made me think of that Sonic commercial (when dudes mind was blown and he had to write it down in his notebook) Either way, just like the previous person wrote its great food, portions are large and staff seems to be very kind. From the little conversation that we had, they told me its under new management, so take it for what its worth. I am going to make this my weekly Chinese food fix !!!

I HATED IT THERE!!! I used to go on a regular basis and ordered a lunch special. The chuncky asain lady at the front has NO customer service!!! She is rude and NEVER smiles. Today I was stuck in the girls bathroom and a man had to crawl through the roof to get me out. I was stuck for a good 15 minutes and they said nothing but sorry. They didnt give me my food free or anything. They just said "im sorry, your food is ready". LIKE REALLY? GO TO CHICK FIL A OR SOME NORMAL FAST FOOD PLACE THEY WOULD BE LIKE "HERE IS SOME COUPONS" OR "HERE IS A GIFT CARD" OR "LET ME GET YOU YOUR FOOD FOR FREE ATLEAST" OR SOMETHING!! BUT THEY SAID "IM SORRY WE CANT DO THAT!" IM SO MAD WITH THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE. NEVER EXPERIENCED ANYTHING THIS BAD BEFORE.

Disappointing. We recently moved to the area and Ive been looking forward to trying it, but it seems really overpriced to me with mediocre quality. Communication is poor, definitely dont expect them to meet any particular requests. They advertise 4.99 lunch specials with big banners, but it turns out only 1 dish actually qualifies for the special, 2 or 3 more are slightly discounted from regular price otherwise plan on paying 6.99-7.39 and lunches are served with mostly rice . We also tried a dinner order, the food was OK but not a great value. Dinner Entrees are 8.99-9.99

I seriously do not know how anyone could give this place more than a few stars... We tried the Lo Mein, General Tsos, Pad Thai (yeah I knew I was going out on a limb on that one), and the spring rolls. The Lo Mein and pad thai were made with fettuccine noodles and both were nearly tasteless. The General Tso was pretty good but the fried rice was horrible (dry and plain with the exception of one small chunk of egg in the entire box). The egg rolls were on par with the lo mein - tastless and mushy. All in all pretty disgusting honestly.

Done. This used to be our go-to carry-out Chinese joint in town. Two straight visits they forget the rice. The rice! Now shame on me for not checking and trusting the giggling girls behind the counter to make sure the rice is in the order, but still. Plus, the additional charge for sweet and sour sauce? Ridiculous.

I ordered chicken and broccoli w/ white rice... The dish came with more broccoli than chicken... It looked like a vegetarian meal....And the skinny egg roll was laughable, it look more like a cigarette, more wrapper than filling... You would do better with canned product La Choy from Walmart.....

The sauces are good, the portions are great, and while Id like it cheaper, its definitely not over priced. Weve had kung pao, chicken with pea pods, hunan chicken, fried dumplings, and tonight were trying out the general tsos. Much better than the over-hyped, over-priced local buffets!!

I can not imagine how this place received anything but excellent ratings. The hot and sour soup is the best we have ever had. The food is always delivered hot, fresh and delicious. After trying just about every Chinese place in town, this is the one we will be eating at from now on.

Wow. This place is great! Seasame chicken the best ever! The chicken fried rice..I cleaned it up! Great sizes and you dont leave hungry! ... *note*...as of 1/7/14, just had the E14.. o.m.g...awesome...Dallas, of you let this joint go out of business..I WILL disown you!

My wife and I have been eating here for several years and they rarely disappoint, and if they do, they make it right every time! Their delivery service its quick and friendly, and the owner has delivered personally several times! Great Lo Mein!!!

This business is being run the Chinese way. No customer service at all, rude when taking orders on the phone. Hello !! McKinney customers I know its a little cumbusome to cook at home but there is a great need to boycott this restaurant.

The food is good and the prices are reasonable. Staff is attentive when eating in and very friendly. They were very accommodating to order changes and the food was served hot and fresh. I recommend the Honey Sesame chicken lunch special!

Delivery -service is great. Fast and friendly. Dine in -not recommend. Food tastes great delivered. Food not as good dine in. Not sure why, its the Same food. Lol. Prices are high, and yes, dine in is more expensive than delivery.

Fast service, but food was horrible. Vegetable rolls were mushy. The food didnt taste fresh and the cheese cake tasted like they put it into the microwave to thaw before delivering. Do not reccomend.
