I tried twice to give these guys a chance. I think three stars is a bit optimistic. I came in on a busy Saturday and there was still plenty of seating, but Id recommend parking nearby and walking. It was the third day theyd been open at this location, so they were probably still getting into the flow. There was disorganization about where to pick up my order (not sure if they had settled on an orderly procedure yet), but they straightened it out after a while: even if they say theyll bring it out, it means orders are filled at the counter on the right. The aesthetic and open physical layout are comfortable. As of this visit, their menu isnt front-and-center, but I hope that will change. Its cool to watch the staff work with something theyre noticeably passionate about. I would like to have taken better pictures. Feels like a good place to sit and talk with friends. The coffee was vivid. Might be the best Ive ever had. For vittles, parfaits, salads, and sandwiches were on display. Overall, seems like it could be a great cafe. They just need to take the initiative to step in and tame the chaos. If they each will take personal investment in the experience of their customers, theyll keep more repeat business. Their website surprisingly has no hours posted for Sundays, but I saw another post that said they were open, so I came back today for lunch today to see if yesterday was just an off-day. I asked whether they had copies of the menus I could take, but they do not keep any on hand. I tipped with more than the total cost of my order, hoping that might make a difference. I had an espresso and I would have had a salad. I didnt stick around to find out whether it would appear, but I did wait diligently for 24 minutes, informing staff twice that I was still waiting for a salad. I can understand maybe 10 minutes - theyre busy - but an ETA would be nice. Maybe theyre understaffed, maybe theyre still training. Its too early to tell. I really want to like this place, but I wont be back at least until they have had some time to mature as a public-facing organization.

The coffee/espresso is definitely delicious. Out of the three drinks Ive had, I have liked them all. So has my brother and a friend. My partner, however, hated it. I was only disappointed by the size of my iced latte, having actually gone back to get a second one when I normally only get one drink at coffee places. The space is definitely open and modern. It seems sort of peculiar in its styling. However, there are plenty of plugs everywhere for laptops, and a lot of USB ports for phones. The WiFi works well. The parking is a death sentence. When it is busy, pulling in or trying to leave is a nightmare. And even on Kingston Pike, pulling in by making a left is scary. More times than not you will get the opportunity to play chicken with someone entering the turning lane about 300 feet before it is actually for the light theyre heading towards. The customer service seemed about a 2/5. The typical take the money, your drink will be out soon. No smiles or niceties. Having worked on this project, I was highly disappointed that I was still getting coffee at Starbucks while we worked in the winter; because no one at Honey Bee ever offered a taste of what we were working towards. So I had to buy my own once they opened. I wish them all the best, and hopefully a cut through to the parking lot behind the coffee shop! Until then, I will probably still go for places with easier parking.

Honeybee is my favorite go to place in Knoxville. Norris and the team are always working hard to ensure their guests have a great experience. I was never much of a coffee drinker before, but find myself making daily stops for the awesome honey lavender iced latte. I have made well over 20 visits since theyve been open, and the I can say that the service is consistent. I can always count on friendly and attentive staff. Rachel is very genuine in her conversation and remembers people by first name. She is always busy and looking for ways to serve her guests. She brings a positive attitude to your day and is a hard worker. Norris (who I believe is the owner), is ALWAYS there. Most business owners dont work in store when they have staff that can handle it. However, he is always walking around, smiling, talking with guests and seeing how he can help. His interaction with his staff (from a customers view) is very respectful and down to earth. This to me, says a lot about his character and the overall integrity of this Honeybee location. I am so thankful that they are here and wish them many many years of great success!!!

Today was my first time here and theyve only been open for a month, but it is a really good idea. The location is an old auto mechanic garage that theyve really lit up. The atmosphere is open and new-agey. I feel like I walked into Ikea with Restoration Hardware. The coffee cups and creamer cups hold heat well and are aesthetically pleasing. The people are super passionate and nice. They offered me a sample of a nitro since I didnt know what it was and I like their darker Columbian coffee. It looks like they have plenty of seating and they have improved upon their flow as judging from previous reviews. Ill be back.

I didnt feel the experience was worth it because I asked about the flavors they add to the coffee drinks and whether they were sugar free or organic type syrups. The man at the register said he didnt do that part of the business meaning he didnt mix the syrups. He just ran the cash register. I guess my expectation of the person taking my order at a business would be that they have enough knowledge of the company that he could have assisted me in making an informed drink choice. I wouldnt stop back in myself. I wouldve thought if you worked at a business you would know more than the just operating cash register.

While the location itself is much nicer than the cafe it replaced, the customer service has taken a step backwards and the parking is a nightmare. I was excited by the spatious new location and longer hours, but after a few trips the new staff has turned me off to coming back. I hope the Spero staff teaches the Honeybee staff about good customer service, but in the meantime Ill get my coffee elsewhere. Such a shame.

2nd visit and I really want to like this place more. 1st visit was a little less than expected because I thought they made your coffee when ordered. Instead it is kept in a pre-made thermos. It was good, just a let down. Today stopped in again for coffee and a doughnut. No doughnuts:( Beeing a beekeeper is what lured me in but I dont see the connection.

Honeybee Coffee in Farragut has a nice warm feeling. Its a great place to work or meet with a friend. The coffee, beer, and doughnuts are good and the staff is friendly. Unfortunately, they dont currently make pour overs. Id go here over a place like Starbucks any day, but I do wish they had a wider selection of coffee and teas.
