So, Im from Texas. Lived in Houston/San Antonio and Austin areas most of my life and I have to say this is probably the worst example of Mexican food I have eaten in a while. The people who rate this restaurant with 3, 4 or 5 stars simply dont have a clue what good food is. For starters the salsa was out of a can. Its said you can always tell how good a Mexican restaurant is going to be by its salsa, if you are to lazy or cant make salsa from scratch your food isnt going to be much better and unfortunately this proved to be true with Las Maracas. We ordered the Carne Asada (a grilled flank steak) and Tacos. Basic Mexican 101. The Carne Asada literally came out in 2 minutes. The flank steak was extremely thin, tough and tasteless and had obviously been sitting in water to keep it warm, which also sucks any flavor out of the meat. Usually this steak is served with grilled opinions, a jalapeno and guacamole along with rice and beans. We got diced onions on a bed of shredded lettuce out of a bag. and ,my favorite, cold flour tortillas, Gross!! The taco shells where old and out of a box, they had that tough chewy texture instead of a nice crisp snap, the same shredded lettuce out of a bag. Evidently the restaurant was out of tomatoes that day because the tacos also came with diced onions and a little cheese. we sent the Carne Asada back ate one taco and left to find another restaurant. Truly a horrible dining experience. For the people that rate this place anything higher than a 2 star experience would you please remember that other people actually use the google rating system to judge wether or not they should dine at restaurants. If your in the mood for good Mexican food in a clean environment do your self a favor and pass on Las Maracas,,,we certainly wish we did.

Went to this place for dinner with friends on april 7th. We all had different versions of their soft tacos. I had shrimp tacos. Within 6 hours I was sick with the chills. I was headed home to florida from nashville and i started to feel really bad. I pulled over at a rest stop and started vomiting. Another motorist suggested a hospital in nearby Marrietta. I spent the night in the hospital with food poisoning. The next day i was released but still too weak to drive so i stayed in marrietta another night at a hotel because i could barely walk. I would never wish the uncontrollable pain i went thru on anyone. Bottom line is I would NEVER EAT ANYTHING AT THIS PLACE AGAIN or would I recommend it. Im in the processs of filing a complaint with the board of health and possibly seeking legal action against this business.

This used to be a great spot until one night we are swarmed by a bunch of roaches. A guy behind me that was leaving swatted my shoulder and said that I had a bug on me....I blew it off thinking he had a few drinks or something..A few moments later roaches started to show up on the table and around my feet. They were even on a family next to us. They moved the family to another table...I stopped eating and went to the front. Told them I was not paying for the food. They tried to blow me off acting like roaches all over the dining room was not a big deal. Have not been back. Kinda a bummer. I really used to like eating here.

Being from Houston means Im going to be a harsh critic when it comes to mexican/tex mex food. This place was actually pretty good though, with cheap/strong margaritas, and reasonably priced food. Had a mixed fajitas and they bring a ton of food on that plate. The chicken was better than the beef so keep that in mind. Overall its a decent spot if your in the area, but I cant say I would drive across town for it.

For mid priced Mexican, this is about as good as it gets. If you are looking for authentic Mexican or a classier establishment, subtract a star or two. There is an outside heated patio and the food gets to your table fast. The queso is quite good and happy hour specials are affordable. If you are looking for plentiful food and drinks on a budget, this is your place.

One of the three best Mexican places in Nashville. Ignore the locals who suggest Las Palmas (everything there tastes of beans and salt). Las Maracas has some of the best food in town. They cold improve on the quality of their margaritas (Rose Peppers are MUCH better) but you cant beat the price and consistent quality.

This has always been a favorite place of mine because its lose to home and reasonably authentic. Recently though, I have noticed a decline in the food. If you order a chicken enchilada, taco, or chimichanga, you will receive 90% stewed onions and peppers. Suppose theyre attempting to cut costs.

Adequate, but unremarkable americanized Mexican food. I guess its okay if you just want fajitas, chips & salsa, and mix-made margaritas. I have an unadventurous friend who drags me here. The coolest real estate agent in Nashville is based right behind here though, so thats a plus I guess?

Food was good but lately it sucks. Service horrible but we keep going back cause only Mexican in east Nashville. However I will NEVER go again. Last time I went credit card company called asking if I charged $250 to Facebook. This is only place I used card that week. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

I have been going here for the past 2 years now, and have always had great service. The food comes out quick, and is always pleasing. They have inside and heated outside sitting (if youre wanting to smoke and eat). If youre looking for a great place to eat, definitely stop by.

I usually order to go because the service is fast!!!!! But I ate inside for lunch and the food was fresh and tasty. Sat out on the patio and enjoyed myself. It was very nice. The staff is always friendly and the service is great. Authentic Mexican..........reasonably priced

Tacos were gross and tasted like burnt rubber!! The emplyees, including the manager, were complete assholes and were rude from beginning to end. I would not recommend to anyone. There are plenty of other mexican restaurants to spend your hard earned money. Wont be back!

Not eating here again. The environment and staff seem okay, but the food? Taco bell has more flavor. The guacamole (or avacado puree) tastes worse than the store bought kind and looks like baby food. Same with the beans. Really gross and bland.

Im actually heading there for lunch today, I had the chimmy changa(I know I killed the spelling) but it was actually good and plentiful! ! The staff was nice and the atmosphere was great!!! If you havent tried it I suggest you do!

Terrible service... We tried to order dishes without beans, and we were scoffed at. We cancelled the order, and decided to finish our drinks and leave, but they brought the cancelled order... We paid for the drinks and left...

Great Food! I visit every time Im in town which is once every 2 or 3 months. Only thing is theres no English television for ESPN and thats a deal-breaker for me especially when 70 to 85% of your clientele is English speaking.
