I have been a loyal customer of Cincos for many many years. After they opened the location in Old Hickory I decided to start going there because of the patio. A few months ago 2 of my friends & I went to enjoy their awesome food & Margaritas. We were waiting for a while for the server to come back and we asked a server walking by if he could get our server..this server spoke in spanish and we heard the word "puntas". We confronted the man and he apologized, the manager (he wears glasses" he did nothing about it. I still went there after that issue, and the past 5 times my husband & I have went we have sat on the patio. EVERYTIME...we sit there for 10 mins waiting on the server to acknowledge our existence, he would approach tables that were sat after us..we ignoresd it the first few times, and still gave them another chance. We went last night, sat on the patio our son asked the lady who brought the chips & salsa to us for cheese dip...we keep sitting and sitting the SAME server who works the patio looked at us, never came over to take our drink orders and went to get an order of a table who sat after us. He then brings the cheese dip and walks off, going up to another table..never asking us for drinks or anything. We got up and left, the manager said "where are you going myf riends" I was very nice and told him the service is horrible here now and we were ignored for over 10 mins. We then went to Los Compadres in Mt. Juliet and had WONDERFUL service, the tables ont heir patio were sturdy and stable...wait staff was very nice. I am very disappointed in the service at Cinco in Old Hickory, I will not be back after being a customer of theirs for so many years.

I went to this place on a Monday night it was not busy at all. When my friends and I sat down we told the waiter that we were just going to drink but that we would still take care I him. He was really rude and rolled his eyes we had to flag him down everything we needed something. After 2 pitchers of margaritas we all eventually ordered appetizers but he was still unattentive to us. The margaritas were not good the food was average the service was poor. What sealed the deal for me wa that it was one of my friends birthday and we asked him if they did anything special and he said "no." This is not true because when we walked in they were singing Happy Birthday to someone. Needless to say we will not be going back.

We love this place. It is close to our office so we eat there a lot! The food is good, the salsa (I get the mild) and guacamole are the best around. On 3 separate occasions someone in my party had issues - usually around price confusion, the restaurant was very rigid and defensive. I also witnessed another customer who had a coupon being treated very poorly as it was Friday and they claimed the coupon was not valid on Fridays (although it did NOT state that on the coupon). In summary - a great place to eat as long as you have no issues or complaints that needs to be addressed :-(

Terrible! The chips were rock hard, the salsa was last months leftovers plus some chili powder. The gaucomole dip was an awful stringy mess of avacodo plus some mystery chunks. The fajitas and quesadilla looked and tasted disgusting. All around the food safety seemed sketchy at best. Two hours later you guessed it - explosive diarreah. Our server had little interest in his job, but fortunately he did seem interested in something, the basketball game, even while taking our orders. To sum it all up this place is terrible.

Were from out of town. So we came to eat here tonight. The food was just weird to us and we were not used to that sort of Mexican food. So we told the manager if he could just take it off our bill. And he told us it wasnt his food but it was just us. He was super rude and I will never be going there again ! He didnt even offer us something else. He said give it to me and walked away .never heard from them again so we just left. The worse service I ever had ! I dont even give them one star !

The steak fajitas were loaded with fresh tender juicy morsals of high grade Angus steak. The sizzling skillet was piled high with freshly chopped veggies, seasoned to perfection. By far some of the best Mexican food weve had to date. Try the homemade habanero salsa, it was to die for and had crazy heat, not for those not willing to cry. The place was slammed as it was a Friday night. This however was no issues as our server was fast, friendly and had every attention to detail.

Second Bad Take Out Experience. ENOUGH FOR ME!! AS THEY DONT FIX NOTHING & TALK LIKE YOU ARE LIEING! NACHOS NO MEAT ALL LETTUCE SOUR CREAM CRAP!! FIRST TIME. SECOND ORDERING FAJITAS COMBO WITH SHRIMP, MAINLY FOR SHRIMP. GET HOME NO SHRIMP CALLED ACTED LIKE I DIDNT ORDER SHRIMP. I ORDERIED DANG COMBO SPECIFIC Shrimp extra TTORTILLAS COST ME OVER $17. TOLD ME COST WAS SAME I CLD COME BK GET SHRIMP IN POURING DWN RAIN!! THIS IS A CROCK. TWICE NOW!! GO BACK HOME IDIOTS! !

I hate this place. Food has no flavor, always crowded, and couldnt believe they automatically included gratuity to my order. Wtf, do force me to leave a tip when your service sucks. Yes our waiter sucked. I never had good time at this place. Theres always a long wait and theres no parking. I would rather go to casa fiesta on bell road before I go here, and I dont like casa either. So that should tell you somethin. Dry a#$ chicken, tsk tsk.

We visited Cinco De Mayos hermitage location today for the first time and I am so impressed with the level of customer service we received today. Our waiter Jovani (hope im not butchering his name) went above and beyond to make sure our experience was enjoyable.. Our drinks never went empty. They delivered fast and prompt service.. I will definitely come back to this location again..

I swear I dont get any of the bad reviews. Ive been coming here at least once a week since they opened the doors and have never, ever, ever had a bad meal or bad service. The margaritas are the very best. I leave after having two and feel like Ive had a pitcher from other places. It is baffling that some on hear have given less than 5 stars. Baffling!!

This chain provides standard Mexican-American fare that leans towards Tex-Mex style. Limited beer selections (Pacifico, Carona, Modelo, etc.). The house margaritas arent bad and come served in cute little cactus glasses. Overall, a good value, friendly staff, and more than willing to deal with rowdy redneck drunks.

Cinco de Mayo is my favorite restaurant! I live right done the road and have l continued to come here for years. The service is always wonderful, the employees are very friendly and attentive. The food is high quality and the price is right. I would recommend this place to anyone local or visiting!
