The food is OK. Just that. OK. Nothing extra or to write home about. But these are the most arrogant people I have dealt with at a restaurant in a long time. The fat manager is an arrogant jerk and the skinny black hair girl that works the register is just as arrogant. They work the younger male staff to death, and they are obviously hustling for tips. They refuse to hire anyone that is not Mexican - can you say discrimination? I can! I just hate to dine in there because it makes me angry and when I pay my money I want to have a pleasant dining experience. I dont know who the owners are, but either they foster this type of attitude or they are this type of individual. Myself and my wife have eaten better food, prepared at the homes of the poor and middle class of Mexico (different than our own), and been much better treated in places where there are no commode seats, the kitchen prep area is outside among the iguanas, and the family dresses their little granddaughter in her best dress and little cowboy boots to meet us. And no, this was not on the tourist tract. It was far off the beaten path. Los Agaves is a joke. ¡ el servicio es un pedazo de mierda! Yay just got our food back home. The little fat manager isnt "available" and when I complained I was told I could do whatever I wanted to do. I have never been so disrespected. But guess what, INS gonna be by there ina few days to check these boys and girls out. Get the bus, boys, you are going home! Asta Las Tacos Hombres!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DONT EAT HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!!!!

I was not impressed at all with the taste of the food nor the quality of the staff. This surprised me because the place is always busy, and I noticed long lines out the door when the restaurant first opened. Maybe my poor experience was a product of their success? I felt rushed to hurry up and get out so they could turn-over the table. Some of the food didnt taste too fresh while the beans were soupy. Even though I get that this is Mexican food and it is not going to be plated perfectly, that is no excuse to have everything mixed together on a plate like a tossed salad. Even the water tasted bad, which White House has good tasting city tap water. I will not be going back to risk my hard-earned money on whether or not if Ill have a good experience next time--its just not worth it to me!

Well, we have been to Los Agaves many many times. On Fathers Day, we went there for supper. When we were seated, there were 6 guys standing toward the back, and one on his phone at the door sitting down. We finally got chips and nothing else. We waited for 15 minutes for a waiter/waitress for drinks, got nothing. We motioned several waiters, plus ask several times for someone to come wait on us. So, after another 10 minutes we got up and left. There were only 4 tables with customers there at the time. This is not the first time, we have run into this situation at Los Agaves. Really disappointed customer! We were never even confronted by anyone but the guy that brought the chips!!!

I personally do not like eating here, so I will write this on behalf of my family who love it here. Food quality and quantity is great. Service is good despite the language difference. They have not messed up our orders. Restaurant is always clean. Havent seen it packed since it was started. Usually 1/4 to 1/3 full at any given time.

Food and atmosphere is amazing. If you have a food allergies make sure you tell them and have them repeat it back. Been here a lot and never had a problem with them ever making a mistake with my food or anyone else I was with except once and it happen to be a food allergie.

It past the test very good service. I had Negra modelo they have it import beer they got it and the food flavors its there. Alambre pure Mexican food with beans and rice timatillo salsa. Nice love it. Visiting all the way from LA CALIFORNIA.

The best Mexican food I can find since moving back here from Los Angeles. Love this place. The salsa and chips are the bomb, plus the Burrito California with chicken is the best! The staff has always been very polite.

A friend brought me here in July, Ive come once a week since. I traveled a lot, eaten Mexican everywhere. This place is right up there with the best! The waiters are quick and friendly and well dressed. Love it.
