This place was awesome. Initially, I was skeptical upon approaching the restaurant because it looked a little cheesy from the outside. But once we got inside it was a real treat. We were promptly seated at our reservation time. The service from Sandy was great. She was so personable and friendly and made us feel right at home. I had spaghetti and meatballs and they were some of the best meatballs Ive ever had - so tender. My husband always orders the most authentic thing he can find on the menu, which was beef braciole in this case. Neither of us had ordered this dish before and it was a total win. It was so tender and the sauce was very savory. The bread was crusty on the outside and chewy in the middle, and my husband enjoyed his pasta fagiole soup. The salad was a little lackluster, but not at all bad. The bleu cheese dressing tasted homemade. My husbands only complaint was that they dont have any local beers, but he made do with a Peroni. The plate of watermelon at the end of the meal was an unexpected treat. Im sad that we live 9.5 hours from this place because I could see our family making this a regular dinner spot. We will definitely be back next time we come to the Myrtle Beach area.

Second update. Im improving the rating to **** stars. Had dinner there on Saturday 2/11. I only go there for two things; beef braciolle and stuffed artichokes.I had my usual beef braciolle. Quite simply, besides my moms, Ive never had better. Stuffed with pine nuts, raisens and spices, and covered with an authentic Italian red sauce, it was amazing. My wife had her usual stuffed artichoke. It was stuffed with Italian seasoned breadcrumbs and was tender and delicious.Again excellent! I have never tried the pizza but that too looked very good. They also have a fairly good but limited wine list, although they could use more wine by the glass options and wines from other countries besides Italy. A California Chardonnay would be nice. I will definitely be back and if they can be consistent and improve the service, (they try hard and are very friendly), they might even earn a fifth star from me. The owner always comes to your table to make sure everything is okay.

Weve been searching for great NY style Italian and we finally found it. Stacey the bartender is fantastic and extremely attentive. My wife has a gluten allergy and she had an excellent gluten free pasta with grilled chicken and marinara sauce. The sauce makes every dish and is spot on fantastic. I even bought a pie to bring home, because thats another challenge to the Myrtle Beach area, finding good NY Style Pizza. I noticed another patron at the bar having the pie and it looked so good, I had to bring one home to try. This is definitely the restaurant to try if you crave Northeast Italian. Enjoy!

Fantastic! I cannot believe I have lived in Myrtle Beach for 13 years and never tried this place before. The food was delicious and the staff extremely friendly. The atmosphere is so relaxing and the music is nice. I would have given it 5 stars, but our waitstaff counted the tip in front of us after we said we didnt need change. We left a hefty tip, so it was all positive, but thought it made paying the bill a little awkward. I am definitely going to go back again. Soooo worth the drive down to Surfside! What a gem.

As a local..... We went on a lazy Sunday afternoon at 1pm. Only 2 other tables. Maybe 8 people total. No kidding took 40+ minutes to get our meal. Appetizer came out in timely manner. But from time we ordered to getting our actual meal which was Alfredo and a pepperoni pizza the wait was too long. Food was good. Probably best calamari weve had at the beach. Service was ok. I will not come back to Valentino because they took to long. The Valentinos a couple blocks down the road is a far better choice!!!!

We celebrated our 50th wedding Anniversary at Valentinos and all 21 family members were extremely pleased with the food, the service, and the hospitality of the owners. We were made to feel like family. We had pizza and braccioli for appetizer. various home made pastas were ordered and from a family used to making home made pasta we gave it a 5 star rating. the live music added to the festivities of the night. An evening we will remember for ever! Gracia Gracia

Food was so-so; service was abysmal. We stood at the door for 10 minutes before anyone spoke to us. Our drinks were never brought to the table. We were brought bread but not butter. The water had white floater flakes in it. At one point I peeked into the kitchen and saw a waitress make a salad by grabbing greens out of a bin with her bare hands. At the table next to us a woman was brought a glass that had lipstick on it. Sad!

Ne vous laissez pas décourager par le look un peu dépassé car le service, lambiance et lexcellente nourriture sauront vous conquérir. Une cuisine et ambiance typiquement italienne. Je vous le recommande fortement

Very nice restaurant. I looked online and saw it was some of the best pizza in Surfside so I called in an order and went to pick it up in my swim trunks. There were candle lit cloth tables with people in suits and ties, they also had a band playing. I initially felt out of place but the staff was very welcoming and played it off like they didnt notice. The pizza was great.

Delicious Italian food, great service, great ambience, and great entertainment. Felt like we were transported to Little Italy. Enjoyed a slice of pizza and my veal parmigian to the sounds of Gene the crooner singing hits from Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and many more. Thats amore! If parking lot is full, drive around back and use the rear entrance.

Just came here for a nice dinner with my girlfriend and it was phenomenal. We are from New York so theres a Italian place every two blocks, and this certainly was a pleasure on the palette. The service was excellent (Traci & the busboys too) and the food was great. I really reccomend it if you are looking for good Italian food in SC.

The food was mediocre, my fettuccini alfredo was flavorless, the only flavor was the grated parmesean and the pepper i added to it at the table. The portions are very small for what they charge. Everyone else at my table said their food was good but they werent thrilled, it wasnt bad but i definately would not rush back anytime soon.

This restaurant was quite a treat! We went based off others reviews and were not disappointed. From the outside you wouldnt expect it, but inside, feels like your in italy. Piano music paired with delicious food from a small family owned, beautifully decorated restaurant. We will absolutely return, there is many amazing meals to try!

This restaurant deserves a 10! We eat there at least once month and have at least 30 friends with us over the last two years. NO ONE has ever been disappointed. Do not be fooled by the outside, one of the best restaurants in SC. Brocciole like your grandmother made, Veal Ala John top pick on the menu, but always great specials

Good food. Good service. Plates are larger then in Italy. I asked for Al Dente pasta and it was a little overcooked. The Carbonara was not as good as you would have it in Italy. As overall I still think it deserves 5star. They have a music artist playing which is not too loud. The ambiance is romantic.
