I had a great experience with Gus the bartender and our waitress Meghan. Sherry and the crew is worth the visit and they always acknowledge us and say hi. The food was perfect, and the peanut butter pie was to die for. This is one of the last great fine dining restaurants in the Jamestown area, that is not overcome with the chain food in which the profits go to someone that lives in Florida, or Texas. The owners live in Jamestown and buy food from local people unlike national chains. If your looking to spend money out of town you dont want to eat here where, there money is spent locally.I had a great experience with Gus the bartender and our waitress Meghan. We had a party of 6 at La Scala to celebrate my birthday tonight... and I LOVE to celebrate my birthdays! After sharing two different appetizers, both of which were wonderful, we all ordered different entrees. Once they were placed in front of us, all conversation ceased... and all you could hear was, "Mmmmmm! Mmmmmmmm!" My daughter had the honey-glazed-lime grilled salmon... her husband had crab stuffed salmon... I ordered the grilled scallops... the chef didnt disappoint anyone at our table. He did a marvelous job for us! He is definitely a gifted and talented chef! We shared our special cake with the wait and kitchen staff to show our appreciation. Joe was our waiter and represented the restaurant in a wonderful manner. This is truly my favorite restaurant @ Chautauqua Lake.

We decided last minute to stop over and have a meal at the Beautiful LaScala Restaurant. We enjoyed looking at the beautiful jewelry and art work in the foyer! We could have been greeted a little more warmly by the hostess, but went to sit to wait for a table at the beautiful bar. We sat and chatted for a few minutes with the friendly bar tender. After we were seated at a roomy booth by the ornate mural that made us feel as if we were in the movie Under The Tuscan Sun! I particularly enjoyed the french onion soup! We had many choices from the specials they offered us! I chose the Lamb, and it was WONDERFUL! Our waitress was very warm and friendly! We will be back again SOON!!! review written by: Kristin Seeley, local business owner

Service and atmosphere we give a 10. The food however was less desirable. For that we give the food a rating of 2. Heres why. #1 Deep Fried livers fried extra extra crispy. #2 Corelle Dishes are just plain tacky. #3 The Salmon was so so Dill sauce was awful. #4 The pasta was way to underdone. #5 The Green Goddess dressing should be renamed The Green Garlic dressing. all you could taste was garlic after the salad and throughout the meal. So what the hay happend? But we loved our server Priscilla. JC & MM

This place quite the expensive (one plate is at $72 wow) but with that price comes great service and pampering for those who like it. Great outing for reservations and business attire. Would recommend that you wear something nice to this restaurant though.

The crab stuffed salmon was delicious. Cheery and accommodating service. We celebrated a birthday and enjoyed the extra festive touch with candles and singing for the birthday girl.

Service was terrible. Food was even worse...And $10 for 1 shot of liquor. The whole experience was bad. I will never go back.
