I live in Myrtle Beach and I am a General Manager of a Restaurant here. I have dined at Travinia several times and have never had a problem. Sunday night my partner and I brought 5 friends that are all local and live here full time. One of them being my Assistant General Manager and his wife. We sat at 7pm our server Angel seemed to be very busy even though there were only 4 tables in the restaurant. We ordered drinks waited about 20 minutes before they came I got up and went to the service bar and they were not there or rang in. Ordered appetizers they took about 30 minutes, and only half of the 4 ordered came. I ordered a bottle of champagne and was told after it was opened that there is not a chiller for it by the manager and he sat it in the middle of the table left to get warm. When I went to the hostess and asked to speak to the manager, he came out and listened to the concern as to why our server is so distraught and needs help. I said we have been here and 4 of our drinks were wrong and sent back after waiting for them, appetizers took forever and we have been here since 7 it is now 830 and still no dinner. A table of two young guys sat and had a salad and complained as well and left cause they had no service and dinner never came. When Dinner came the food was not as good as it has been in the past. The Carbonara was very dry and the chicken was not as it is usually thinly sliced and laid over it was chunks of grilled chicken and it seemed as if our food was under the heat lamps for a bit of time. We had tickets to see a movie at the commons movie theater at 9pm seeing as we did not receive our dinner until 915 that was a waste as well. The manager came by and said he took off two of the appetizers and hopes we come back. I can say that I and the group I came in with will not be back in. As the other couple are regulars at my place of employment and said i do not see why I would come here ever again. I am very sorry and I never leave a bad review, But as the manager was not very concerned with the service and food I would leave this in hopes that something may be fixed for future guests. Your restaurant used to be very good and a place we liked to entertain and frequently visit but I have to say things need to be fixed in your restaurant starting with Management and Service.

Awesome outside dining on moonlit night. A friend and I choose this place based on reviews and wine selection. The inside of the restaurant (especially the bar area) was so inviting but due to excessive a/c we chose to be seated outside. Tuesday night is 25% off wine bottles so we ordered a bottle after several tastings and began to graze through our meal. We started with the zucchini fritte that was enough appetizer for 4 people, very light and tasty. We then got the Granny Smith apple salad to share (again an abundant serving). It was delicious. Next we ordered the lobster ravioli small plate and the carbonara small plate with the addition of seared scallops. Huge serving of carbonara ( they brought and charged me for the entre size meal not the small plate meal). Way too much food but we heard the cheesecake was good so we ordered it for dessert. It was a bit dry but quite tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxed pace meal. We were never rushed not treated like a nuisance. Food was excellent, service was great and price ( all the above for <$100) was very reasonable. I definitely would go again.

The only good experience was our waitress was polite. The 1 star is for horrible tasting food, an unnecessary long wait, and being overcharged $$$ (A side of spinach is $4, not the $5 I was charged and paid). Upon arrival, I checked in with the hostess and she said it would be a 15 to 20 min wait. We ended up waiting over 30 mins. Which was very odd bc there were 7 or more empty booths/tables. In fact, one of the booths remained empty throughout our entire wait and dining experience. The "pan roasted chicken" needs to be changed to the "bland tasteless chicken". The mash potatoes could have been instant powder potatoes. I am very disappointed in the quality of the food especially for the $$$ of most the entrees. I think Olive Garden may have been a better choice. However, thats not saying much bc Olive Gardens food is mostly microwavable tv dinners... However, I have ate here before and had their shrimp messina and cheesecake. It was decent but disappointing considering how much it cost and better tasting/quality food else where.

We have been coming to Myrtle Beach for years, and likely will not return to Travinias at The Market Common. We were seated promtly, and ordered salads. The Prociotto and Arugala Salad was great, and so was the Mixed Berry Salad....unfortunetly, the good remarks stop there. Halfway through our salads arrived our main courses....bad...any good restuarant would time things properly so that there was at least ~5 minutes between the salad and the main course. I had the seafood stuffed shells, and was not impressed. They were most definetly frozen, and half of the plate was filled with garlic bread...whats that about? Also the sause wasnt anything to write home about as there was very little flavor. The other main course was Sinatra Chicken...and that was well recieved. We felt rushed the entire time, it seemed all they wanted was to turn the table. In response, we took our time and did not give them what they wanted...sorry Travinia, but we wont be coming back.

We had a lovely meal at Travinia last evening (11/22/16). We are in town for Thanksgiving from PA. First of all, the atmosphere inside is lovely! Warm, dim lighting but not too dim that you cant read your menu! Our waitress and waiter (Taylor and Steve) were exemplary; very attentive, friendly, and helpful when we had questions about the menu. They were two of the most attentive and genuinely friendly restaurant staff Ive experienced. The food? AMAZING! We began with the scallops appetizer, which was delicious. The cauliflower puree with the scallops was divine. The Sinatra Chicken, Shrimp Messina, and swordfish with roasted corn risotto were quite delicious too. We also sampled the creme brulee and tiramisu (two thumbs up!) One of my favorite parts of the whole meal was the bread and olive oil! Overall, we had a wonderful meal and experience at Travinia!

I gave this place two tries before writing this. The first time we went the waiter didnt bring the meals for half of our 4 person party. After that it was hopeless because the waiter was so flustered. Despite the issues with the service, the food was excellent. We tried the restaurant tonight, and again the service was horrendous. We had another four person party, and one person got the wrong entree. Not writing orders down is only impressive when you get the order right. Neither of our attendees were able to do that skill correctly. The waitress barely came by the table to refill drinks. I cant give this place a third attempt, when there are so many other places to eat instead. I realize with tourists you can be wishy washy with service and probably survive, but locals will come again and again with regularity.
