BAD FISH...I previously have given this restaurant a 5 star review and have sent A LOT of people over there. But last night my husband got take out and the quality of the food was NOT up to par. The soup was overly spicy from the normal soup we usually get. (same soup too much spice). I got my usual, the Needham roll, and the fish that was on top of the roll was very very fishy, to the point I was concerned it was rancid. I disassembled the roll and ate what I felt was safe. When I called today, twice, to try to talk to the manager to ask if they wanted me to bring up the fish so they could either refund part/all of my cost of the roll, they said no, they wont refund any because its the next day. I would have had to bring it back up there last night. I wouldve taken it back up there last night if I hadnt been so exhausted from driving 7 hours. IN FACT - THATS THE EXACT REASON WE DIDNT GO THERE TO EAT, because I was exhausted! They have lost a REGULAR/FREQUENT customer and all my positive word of mouth. The girls that answered the phone were very nice but IM SO DONE. As much money as Ive given them over the past 3 years! Sad I have to find a new place for my sushi fix. :( Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I had read that this location was less touristy than Broadway and was excellent, so, the wife and I made the hike from the beach. We are pretty much sushi snobs, so upon arriving at this strip mall location, we werent sure what to expect. We opened the door and WOW! It was packed! And on a Monday night too! No tables were even available, so we hopped over to the bar. What a great experience. Great drinks, great service, and the sushi was better than advertised. Patrick, one of the managers, took care of us and made us feel at home. We tried a gyoza app, one of the best weve had! Then proceeded to feast on 4 large specialty rolls. The Duke was our favorite, but also loved the Rocket and Needham, I forget the other. We will definitely go back! So, worth the extra mileage!

In the Forestbrook area, one certainly cannot beat the management (Mark), sushi chefs, wait staff, food presentation and preparation at this establishment. The menu is impressive in selection. This is our most favorite sushi restaurant for dinner in the Myrtle Beach area. Enter with a ceremonial gesture to the chef and become amazed. Available are full dinners, the freshest fish products (Sashimi, Nigri, or Sushi Maki), a full bar, including flavored and unflavored Saki, and tea and soft drinks. The house salad dressing is to die for (and take home also). Dont forget the seaweed salad. Everything that comes on a plate is edible, including the flower.

The best sushi I have had yet in the area--really, really outstanding quality and more than your run-of-the-mill specialty rolls. They actually have some unique and inspiring combinations you wouldnt expect. And the staples are equally well-executed. I picked up an order for my anniversary in the off-season, and the server I picked up from was so helpful and wanted to make sure I had everything I needed before leaving. I honestly was not expecting to tip for just a pick-up, but she was so accommodating that I was absolutely compelled to. I will be returning for business as often as possible!

Place was really great , but our drink a Scorpion bowl I believe, was not on fire as it was supposed to be:( other than that the sushi was awesome! There was a great rice ratio with your other ingredients in the roll, with great ingredients, high quality. Miso soup was delicious the flavors were well blended. Softshell crab was very well prepared and paired perfectly with the sauce that accompanied it. seaweed salad was very good, but not my favorite thing from the new night. overall the food was delicious and well executed. I cant wait to go back!

Service is decent. Atmosphere is ok. The sushi was good, but not memorable-of course finding quality sushi in Myrtle Beach is a challenge. When we went for dinner my wife and kids decided to try the hibachi which was far from being any where near as good as the habachi restaurants in the Myrtle Beach area. The chicken was over cooked and the rice and vegetable had little flavor. Overall we left with little desire to return.

The atmosphere was nothing like the website portrayed. We were expecting something somewhat upscale but its more like a college pub and very loud. Service left much to be desired, we had to ask for napkins, silverware & chopsticks. We were not even offered dessert before receiving our check. The sushi was pretty good but we wont be going back.

Food was great, very poor service, I had sushi (two specialty rolls) loaded with fresh fish - very good. Wife had hibachi. Unfortunately, once we ordered, we waited for over 50 minutes to receive food. Chefs need to learn to take care of in house customers that pay tips and enjoy the experience more than those who order take out.

Stopped in after shopping next door. Service was outstanding she explained everything to my wife and I and answered all of our questions. Food was great we had 4 different sushi rolls all were awesome. As we were ready to leave sever gave us our order sheet so we could remember next time what to get. We will go back!

Great service = 40% tip. The Beef Negimaki was the most tender beef Ive ever eaten and tasted great too. The Frosty Roll was good. The Sunset Roll wasnt great. I didnt like the taste or consistency of the apple wine sauce. I would definitely return but try different rolls with another portion of the negimaki.

I definitely prefer this location to the one at broadway. The service is better, food even tastes better! Every time I go, I try a different roll and im never disappointed!! Theres so much variety and lunch prices are extremely reasonable! Definitely worth the trip if youre in the area!

I ordered hibachi shrimp. The shrimp were overdone. Youd think that a sushi place would not cook the shrimp too much. My husband tasted three of the shrimp. He said that they were cooked too much and he likes his food more well done than I do. The rice and vegetables were okay.

One of my favorite places to visit! I would absolutely recommend this place if you enjoy sushi rolls and nice hibachi chicken and rice. They have a great bar as well with lots of variety. Give this place a shot if you are in the myrtle beach area!

The food is phenomenal! Prices are reasonable! Our server, Rebecca, was pleasant! We ordered sushi and hibachi. The only thing I can complain about is that the sushi could have been rolled tighter. Theres no doubt well be returning again!

Food is great and waitresses are nice. Manager is so rude. Not the first time ive heard that either. This young man will ruin that restaurant. When a Manager is rude, your staff will follow his lead. Unprofessional, arrogant, rude.
