Me and my husband sat at the bar for 15 min. and the bartender looked at us a few times, and did not say one word to us. So we got up and moved to a table, where we were immediately talked to, we ordered drinks which took 10 min. to get to us, and then proceded to order food when she came back. She was very rude the whole time and it took over an hour for us to get our food. The waitress did not talk to us once while we were waiting, until she realiezed we were about to leave before recieving our food! So she told us it would only be a few more minutes so we sat back down. We recieved our food and I began to eat in which I found about 6 LARGE bones in my fish, I wasnt to please but I wasnt going to complain, I just proceeded to take them out and continued to eat, as I found more and more. Once again our whole meal our waitress didnt come over once ... and it was not that busy! When she finally came back my husband very nicely asked "is there usually bones in your fish, not trying to complain just curious" ... she rolled her eyes and said shed go get the manager, which we did not even ask her too. He came over and asked "what our deal was" ... I proceeded to tell him everything in which happened very nicely .... he asked me if I found bones in my food why would I continue to eat it ... In which I said I waited for over an hour and was very hungry and it wasnt a big deal, just wanted to know if thats how it usually was. He then proceeded to ask me what we wanted him to do about it "come back, not come back" I pretty much laughed at this point and told him I didnt want anything just wanted to let him know that the service and food was really bad, that I didnt complain in the first place. Then proceeded to tell me he would take off the portion of my meal which I ate, which I told him thank you but then he told me "next time you dont like your food you shouldnt eat it and say something right away" I had to laugh again, I get what he was saying but like I said we were being so nice, and we didnt even complain or give the waitress a hard time. It was beyond the worst service I have ever recieved and beyond the worst I have ever been treated at a resturant. The food was good though minus the bones, and my husband liked his meal as well. Even through all this we still tipped the waitress, but had to write on our ticket " we really arent d-bags, you guys just really suck a** " lol sorry but thats how bad it was! I will not go back ever, and I would tell everyone to stay away. 2 stars just cause the food was good.

Saturday day trip we decided to eat here for dinner. It was seat yourself so we walked in and grabbed a seat at the tall tables. There were two bar tenders behind the bar looking at their phones. The two waitress that we could see were both talking to each other behind the bar and a person who appeared to be the manager was working on the cash register and looking around. With a 6 year old and a 2 year old we waited, and waited, and waited for 30 minutes without even being greeted. The waitress whos section we were apparently not in walked past our table at least three times without saying anything. The blond waitress who Im guessing was suppose to be ours was easily distracted by people she had already served or other co workers. The menu looked great but at the 30 minute mark we were out the door. Far to many places so close to wait that long when it wasnt even busy. Around the corner to the Bowery where the waitress greeted us as soon as we walked up, had beer and food ready for us quick and deserved that 40% tip. Might have just been unlucky but I see other reviews of waiting forever and we will probably never try again.

Only giving a 5 star review so yall see it. This place is a joke. Our server and the tables beside of had a different one yet had the same experience. First of all, we waited 20 minutes on a server. Then after we ordered out food it took another 30 minutes. I got a cheese burger, I asked for mayo on my burger, no big deal, it comes and it was plain. so I ask for mayo and it took 30 MINUTES to even see her again, I walked inside and asked the bartender for it, we waited and waited and she never came. The people we came with had hair in their food and she tried to say it was ours, were all dark headed and it was long blonde hair. She stormed off mad, So when we finally did see her she brought us our check, we had a party of 6 and she put it all together, then said that she doesnt split it for parties bigger than 5, which is a lie. She was rude and the sucked and the food wasnt even that good. I wouldnt recommend this to anyone. Weve been here before and had awesome experience but this turned us away for good. We spoke to a manager and he said he would handle it.

I would not recommend this place and we will never go back. We were looking for something kid friendly on the water we ordered our food and didnt see our waiter for about 30min. In he mean time i had two people come ask me if i needed my check before i even got my food. But then we have figured out he never put our order in. He said he was going to give us a discount and he food would be right out. My kids were restless and starving and there are no highchairs so this is with me holding my one year old. Our food comes out. Then salads and then a appetizer that we already told him at this point we didnt want because it came out after our food. He asked if we needed anything else and we requested cocktail sauce which was never bought. All of our drinks were empty by the time our food was brought out and never got refills. We still ended up spending $40 for a horrible dinner and a appetizer that they wouldnt take off. I wouldnt go here.

I am bumping my 4 star review to a 5 star, due to the integrity of the bartender. 3 young women were harassing him, trying to coerce him into serving them alcohol, despite the fact they were without IDs. Props to him for taking a stand and doing the right thing. Ive been to this establishment several times and each visit has been fantastic. Excellent location, right on the boardwalk, with ocean views and breezes, also great people watching. Ive always experienced good and friendly service, as well a delicious food, served in a very timely manner even when theyre super busy. Ive tried several menu items, but I always return to the fish tacos with that amazing wasabi dressing. So tasty!!! Oceanfront Bar and Grill is a regular stop every time I visit Myrtle Beach. Highly recommended.
