The Udder Choice was utterly awkward. We walked in and half of the high school aged staff just stared at us without saying a word and the other half just ignored us. We were looking at the ice cream and menu board at the to go counter for 5 minutes and no one asked what we wanted or if we were being served so we went over and sat at the counter. Someone eventually came to take our order. My ice cream was ok but the vanilla my girlfriend got had a lot of Ice crystals. This place also seems like a huge waste of space for just ice cream and very basic sandwiches. This place had a lot of potential and could be a lot more than it is with a revised menu, better ice cream, and more attentive staff.

This place is a local favorite for hand dipped ice cream (no soft serve). The decor is pretty much an ode to the golden days of independent ice cream parlors, with a collection of ice cream scoops and much signage from long gone local dairys producing their own ice cream. This is not a place to go for a hearty meal, you just wont find one. The menu is rather small, but perfect for a quick bite, followed by some ice cream. The items they serve are a throwback to simpler times, small sized but appropriately priced. A standout is the selection of soups that they offer on a daily basis.

Arrived at the restaurant at 7:50, one hour and ten minutes prior to close, to be told the grill is off. Cannot order sandwiches, only soup and ice cream. I said the sign states that the grill is turned off a half hour prior to close. Was told that it was a slow night and they already cleaned it and wouldnt turn it back on. Politely left and will not return.

Come here if youre looking for simple sandwiches (such as kunzler ham on a pretzel roll), soups (they have many choices in the front when you walk in, but my favorite so far is cream of asparagus), or dessert (there are many choices of ice cream desserts and such.). Its very inexpensive, but a good value for what you get.

I was passing through around dinner time and hoping Id find a local place (not a big chain). Good thing they have a large sign. Im glad I found it. The service was fast and friendly and the food certainly tastes homemade. My favorite was the "spicy chicken corn chowder" which did have some kick to it.

Fantastic experience! My family and I were traveling and we pulled in the night before Thanksgiving at 8:45 (15 minutes before closing). Everyone couldnt have been more friendly. No one made us feel rushed and even asked if we wanted ice cream after dinner. Its worth your while to try this place!

I havent tried their ice cream, so this is a review strictly of their food. The kitchen seems to be a half-hearted attempt to build onto an ice cream shop. They need to try harder if they really want to make a go of it as a dining establishment.

Slow breakfast service. In their menu they have a disclaimer "please be patient food is made to order." But Im not sure why it took forty minutes to get our bacon eggs and toast. When we did finally get our food it was cold.
