As I type this review Im eating takeout from the White Plains Coach Diner. Fried Jumbo Shrimp, fries and a coffee. First thing, These shrimp look a little grey, taste a little fishy, oh and they taste OLD. The fries are regular bland fries, and even though I asked for a Iced Cappuccino and received a Hot one, at least the coffee was really good. This will be the LAST time I ever eat from here. When I was younger my family would always come here for Sunday lunch but since then Ive gone there four times this year and each experience was rather disgusting. From the bland Chicken Fingers, the dry hard Chicken Parm and watery pasta, this place fails to please. Oh and to add to the miserable experiences My boyfriend took me on a surprise date, dinner at the diner....We ordered the NY strip Steak and their Mexican whatever Burger which made me and my boyfriend puke our brains out, great date right? Well even though the food was revolting, the waiters that took our order and served us were sweet, and pretty much the best and only pleasant part of the experience. Ive had two friends whove worked at this establishment and theyve warned me the food here isnt always fresh, especially the desserts. So everyone eat here at your own risk, this food is sub par, I would even recommend the Star Dinner or even Kennedies Chicken over this place, BUT if you are craving diner food, City Limits is AMAZING! The crispy shrimp is to die fooorrrr!

Food was nasty ..I spilled my drink and I didnt even sip it they still wanted to charge me for a drink I never had I spoke with one of the waiters he told me the man at the cash register will take it off someone else said he wasnt the manager to take it off.. get to the cashier who was the manager and he looks he didnt want to be there wasnt friendly we told him our issue he seem bothered then asked the waitress ... the waitress who took our order started to speak in Spanish not knowing my friend spoke Spanish then preceded to tell us the drink will now be on her tab the other guy shouldnt have said they will take it off just an unpleasant experience when I work with ppl and I manager a huge store where customer service is the number1 priority

90 % of the staff is illegal and 90 % of the food is frozen not fresh..service is nice but horrible at taking simple orders. There is nothing vegetarian since they use the same grill for everything. Also its a family operation, so sometimes the manager has no clue what they are doing..besides all of that, this place is ok.....Im not ever going back after 3 out of 3 missed orders and non tasty food...p.s. I know what Im talking about.I love diners ..just not this place...no one cares here..its sad because I love supporting small businesses. ..Also I love cheesecake and theres is good if you dont know cheesecake, but if you really like cheesecake, theres is lame...not juniors or anyone who knows how to bake an ordinary cheesecake. .

Used to love this place --- went there last night (havent been there in about 4 months) and found the most disgusting bathrooms Ive ever seen --- one of the male kitchen staff was waiting for me to get out of the bathroom, saying the womens room is always far cleaner than the mens --- I cant even guess at the germs that are flying around the food, for even the soap dispenser was blackened and near empty. Shivers down my spine. My 4 year-old son even started to cry b/c he had to go pee and the toilet was visibly soiled (other toilet was clogged). Stay clear. If they cant clean a bathroom that the cooks and wait staff use, fear for the food!

Horrible service! Ordered a drink brought wrong one after 10 min. Waitress didnt even know the items on menu or what they come with. They overpriced us on drinks! Ordered a cocktail then they charged individual liquor that was in cocktail. Asked owner he said it is what it is! and then casually walked away. Ordered soup chicken and rice ... no flavor very blan no veggies at all. Calamari was gross and over cooked ,The tomato sauce to dip was flavorful. Buffalo wings were fine but then they charged for meal with French fries which I didnt order. Definitely not ever going there again. Next time Ill go to pf changs across street instead.

Its decent but nothing to write home about. Generally I only go to diners for breakfast. So if Im in a hurry, then I go here, otherwise I go elsewhere. In Westchester County, that would be the Mamaroneck Diner on Route 1 / Boston Post Road. Eggs are decent, potatoes are meh. Nothing is awful, but nothing makes you feel happy about your decision. Pro-tip: Do not sit in the very first booth behind the menu stand. The seat cushion is completely collapsed. You end up hitting metal. Once watch 3 other parties get seated there and subsequently moved within the span of one breakfast.

I havent been in the White Plains Coach Diner in many years, its actually been more than 10 years, Because Ive made Miami Beach, Fl home since, But i long for many of the diners menu staples. I used to love the stuffed shrimp with crabmeat and the spanish omelette to name just these. Here in Miami the menus are lacking any substance in diners, But this area is gold mine, Aventura, Sunny Isles Beach, Fl. Beautiful scenery and if you know the good luck locations for business ( the Real Estate Agent in me knows) then you have something.

I dined here a few times while working a nearby project. The service is ok most of the time, but the food is really not very good. The meatloaf was dry and bland. I ordered an omelette once; it was dense and flat as opposed to being light and fluffy. It was also bland, somewhat dry and not very warm. I ordered strawberry shortcake- they brought me a piece of frosted strawberry cake with 2 strawberries pushed into the frosting. I never left the diner feeling satisfied, more like disappointed.

I ordered a breakfast wrap with home fries to go. The green peppers in the wrap were not cooked (crunchy and not texturally appealing at all), and the home fries were completely undercooked, mushy and tasteless. (They were barely crisped on the outside or edges). BUT - I will say that the person who helped me with my takeout order was fantastic and refilled my coffee while I waited. Would have given one star if not for the good service.

Its unfortunate how one server can ruin an entire dining experience. Our waitress just couldnt get it together. Took about ten minutes for her to approach our table, then wasnt seen again for another 20 minutes when our food came out. Items ordered were missing, coffee was not refilled and she seemed unapologetic about it. Will be avoiding this place in the future

Stopped here once for breakfast on a weekend. The service was pretty bad and my eggs were gross and the cheese wasnt even melted. Still had a great square shape when it hit the table. Its nearly as bad as the sister restaurant in Port Chester. Its safer to go down the street to Stop & Shop and eat raw eggs out of the fridge.
