Oh what happened to Imperial Wok? It was one of the best Chinese restaurants in Solon, now its a meh at best. My family and I have eaten both inside and takeout from IW for over 5 years. Until about 8 months ago, it was great. The food, eat in, take out, the service... all great. We think there are new owners or at least new management. The food is bland, I mean taste less. The fried food is soft and soggy. And did they hide the salt and pepper shakers? For goodness sake, go get some MSG or what ever is used to make Chinese food good. And they changed the fortune cookies. They are thinner and bland and the fortunes are also lame. How could you mess up fortune cookies? Tonight I almost called to speak to the manager or the owner, the new guy behind the counter as the lady is gone now, but I didnt. I hope this message finds its mark and the food is fixed. Hope I forget this sad sad meal so I try IW again.. but for now it is a no go for me and mine. (Dont fret, I have a lousy memory, I will probably be back sooner than I know)

Not what it used to be. I ordered carry out. My order was spare ribs, crab rangoons, 4 egg rolls, and general tsaos chicken. My total was $37. I didnt look in the bag because I thought they would be portions enough for a couple people at that price. They claim its 12 ribs to an order for $9.50. When I opened the box, it was more like 4 ribs cut into 3 segments each. The general tsaos chicken was more like a lunch portion with maybe 2 tablespoons of rice. Egg rolls were mediocre, not worth $2 a piece. The crab rangoons were the only thing that were priced properly for the portion they served.... I will Not return.

The walnut shrimp was just what I was looking for when I picked it up as takeout while visiting Cleveland for work. I was incredibly disappointed though in the amount of rice that was given with the takeout box- it was such a small box that I could barely fit one piece of the broccoli from my entree into the box, it was the equivalent of probably a dozen bites of rice and thats it. There also was no utensils (I can understand not everyone needing it, but should have asked! After all, you threw in soy sauce packets- but no utensils??) which left me scrambling in my hotel room to find something to eat with.

The food is very good! I come from an Asian descent and have traveled in Asia. Chinese food in America is different than eating it there and that can be a good thing. I would not hesitate recommending the Imperial Wok, and wish I was there right now! The Orange Beef is thick, tender and delicious. Many of the Servers have been there for a long time, and do a good job. Like any great Chinese restaurant they will cook dishes that are not on the menu if you ask. SO GO and ENJOY!

Pretty good American-style Chinese cuisine. Would be nice if they had some more authentic Chinese dishes, as well. Sushi bar is nice, but theres too many people who arent actually getting sushi sitting there taking up space. Need a much better kids menu - offering a kid size sweet & sour chicken and a kid size lo mein dish would be nice and make the experience more family friendly. Service is spotty, sometimes great and sometimes not very good. Worth a try.

The food is okay, kind of pricey. The reason Im giving a poor review is because the manager (? Older woman with dark hair) was unpleasant. She was barking orders to a hostess, and later was yelling at our waiter. She actually told him to "go back to China." I lost my appetite. Witnessing that really ruined my day. It seems there is a situation where the boss is taking advantage of those who work under her and verbally abusing them. Very unprofessional.

We go to the Cleveland area a couple times a year and we make sure we eat there. My husband loves their egg foo young. I like the daily specials. One time they had this salmon dish that is out of this world. Im still trying to replicate the dish at home but with no luck. We just have to go back SOON!! (by the way, go there after some kind of Twins festival in Twinsburg. Many twins make a point of going there afterwards.)

Dining in is somewhat okay. My experience with that was the waitress asked if I wanted an egg roll, I said does it come with the meal and she said "no". But she forgot to offer me the tea that DID come with the meal. Another time I got take out and the meal looked and tasted like it had been sitting around ALL day. The broccoli was mushy and yellowish. Very small portion of brown rice came with meal. VERY DISSATISFIED !

The pork they put in their fried rice is so small I remembered when there was big pieces good luck on finding but 2 small pieces of pork and the rice isnt fried its moist. Not a happy customer,. this place nickels and dimes you for extra sauce, they lost my business for good. You cheated me on the pork in the fried rice.. Rent is more expensive at the corner then when they were in the Solon SQ so now the food is garbage

I come to this Chinese restaurant with a friend frequently. Its beautiful since they moved from other location. It is more spacious. A definete improvement. Food is great! I have, on very rare occasions, recd dirty silverware. Sent back and recd clean. Shrimp chips are stale sometimes, but I request fresh, and they have no problem complying. Service is good, Prices are fair. Very friendly. I do recommend!

We typically order take out so I cant speak toward the service concerns others mention. They are fast and I havent noticed any issues with getting it right. The food is really good although not authentic Chinese. I recommend the Walnut Shrimp or lettuce wraps. My only concern is the pricing. Its a lot more than others in the area and Im not sure the quality warrants the higher price.

We visited here last week, the food was good, not the best Chinese ever, but it was pretty good. I had the sweet & sour chicken, the sauce tasted "canny", but other than that, I did enjoy the egg rolls (which I dont generally like egg rolls). The service was good and the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. I would go back.

This place is awesome. They have the FASTEST takeout service (literally, 10mins from when you walk in and order you are out of there) Ive ever seen. The food is classic chinese, very fresh. Super cool interior if you are eating in. Try their curry chicken. The spice there trends towards mild, so dont fear "spicy".

Bad food, worse service. When I complained that the food tasted off and was served soggy, I was told to pay for it or they would call the police. The nexy day I had terrible stomach cramps. Only eat here if you want to get sick and are masochistic enough to want service befitting fast food.

Imperial Wok has been around for a long time because it is so reasonably priced for such good cuisine! Sure it might not be fancy, but it is memorable food that has me pining to move back to Ohio so I can go eat there again! I would happily pay for the recipes, but they will not sell! :(
