I had received a $10 gift certificate from the pastor at my church as a Christmas present for being an altar server (he did this every year). Just yesterday I found it in my wallet (its been years since I had received it) but since I had already gotten a milkshake from a fast food restaurant that day, I decided I would go tomorrow (today April 19, 2017). I go into the place and immediately alert the person serving the ice cream I had a gift certificate and she said they no longer accepted them. I had $2 left on it btw. So the manager who was sitting on the couch right next to the counter comes over and says "oh well this is back when this facility was under different management, when we bought this place, we no longer accepted these gift certificates." To which I responded "well, is this not double twister? Does the certificate not say double twister on it?" Then she said "well you didnt pay us (as in the new management) for that gift certificate so we would technically be giving you free ice cream." At this point I was getting really irritated because not only was it just two dollars on a card but the damn place is called double twister and the gift card says double twister; not rocket science, though clearly it was for her and her attitude. So I said "the certificate says double twister and the name of the shop is double twister so I think you guys should honor it." And she said "no we dont give away free ice cream." I was steaming at this point because that is just terrible customer service, not only did she have an attitude but she talked in such a condescending way it only made me even more angry. I told them to throw it away because its not gonna do me any good, clearly. IF I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS OR SOMETHING EVEN WORSE I WOULD DO IT IN A HEARTBEAT. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO MY WORST ENEMY. 10/10 THUMBS DOWN, ALWFUL AND EXPENSIVE PLACE WITH HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND OVERALL, JUST NOT A NICE STAFF TO DEAL WITH. MY ONLY REGRET IS THAT I DIDNT STAY, HAVE THEM MAKE ME SOMETHING EXPENSIVE AND THAT TALKES A LONG TIME TO DO AND THEN SHOVE IT BACK IN THEIR FACE AND SAY "SORRY, I CHANGED MY MINDI WANTED SOMETHING ELSE" AND JUST WALKED RIGHT OUT AND MADE THEM WASTE ALL THAT PRODUCT. THINK TWICE BEFORE GOING THERE, HIGH PRICES, DISGUTINGLY DISHONORABLE, AND A TERRIBLE STAFF WITH HORRIBLE ATTITUDES. GEE, I WONDER WHY THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO ONE IN THAT PLACE WHEN I WENT. MAYBE ITS BECAUSE IT SUCKS AND IF THE MANAGER IS READING THIS, YOU KNOW WHO I AM, BLUE CAPE CODE HOODIE AND KACKI PANTS. PLEASE, DO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY A FAVOR AND DO NOT GO TO DOUBLE TWISTER. AWFUL PLACE, MCDONALDS HAS BETTER ICE CREAM AND BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND MORE THAN HALF THE STAFF BARELY SPEAK ENGLISH. A V O I D T H I S P L A C E A T A L L COSTS! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED OF THE AWFULNESS OF DOUBLE TWISTER IN DANBURY, CONNECTICUT!!!!! TWO THUMBS DOWN NEGATIVE 5 STARS, THIS JOINT SUCKS!!!!!

A lil bit weird cause the owners literally sit there allllllllll dayyyyy looooong, super stiff, just let it flow man, I mean cmon, people are there to eat ice cream and have a good time, not be around a bunch of stiffs with perfect haircuts, sheesh! The crepes are delicious but the staff is o so stiff, just change the name to "stiffys ice cream"

Awesome place for dessert or a special treat for the family. Quiet and cozy place to take your special some one. Best ice cream cake every since they do the double vanilla and my kids dont like chocolate. Parking is a bit of a pain but nice outdoor seating away from the busy road.
