I had been to this place several times before and my experiences were mediocre . Last night around 1:30 AM I went to the diner to get something to eat . I ordered a Greek omelette which after taking about 20-30 minutes to come was bland and barely had any type of flavor . I asked for some hollandaise which the waiter told me they didnt have any of . I realized my omelette didnt have any feta cheese at which time I asked the waiter for some feta cheese and he responded that he would have to charge me for a side to which I responded no problem (which by the way as a courtesy this information should have been accompanied with a price ) .After finishing the majority of my omelette the waiter came back with a block of feta cheese chopped up in huge pieces . I ate one small piece and asked for a box and my bill . Upon receiving my bill I noticed the waiter charged me $6.50 for this "side "of feta cheese that he brought , mind you my omelette in total cost $9.50 . I called over the manager and explained the situation to him to which he responded theres nothing he can do since the feta cheese had already been cut up and brought out to me. After going back-and-forth with the manager I decided that it was pointless and I rather not bring my business back to this place. The service was trash , the food wasnt all that great and management is trash as well . I refused any discount on my bill when the manager tried to compromise with me to pay 1/2 of what I was charged and take home the remainder, paid and left . No THANK YOU, if I wanted a pound of feta cheese I wouldve gone to the super market and bought it . I even left the waiter a tip since I work in the food service industry and know how the business works . It is unfortunate because I live in the neighborhood and that diner is very convenient . All in all I definitely will not be returning and wont recommend the place to anyone else EVER.

Liars, crooks and slobs! Horrible service, some of our food items were ok but some were disgusting...i ordered 3 items total, instead of 2 of my items i was served something else. When told the waiter that this was not what I ordered he seemed annoyed and looked surprised i did not want to eat what he served before he went back to bring me what I ordered! Diner was almost empty so no reason to screw up and then give customer an attitude and then overcharge. Utensils were dirty, and water tasted like bleach...unbelievable...but the worst part was that for desert I ordered Belgian waffle and he gave me a plate with dry piece of chewy batter and nothing else. I asked how much is for this waffle he said $5. I asked why did it come without whipped cream or powdered sugar or anything else on it. He said I must tell him that I want all this on my waffle otherwise it comes plain dry just like that. I almost chocked on it. When I came to pay for my screwed up order I told the manager that I was not happy with the food, did not say anything about the service or the server...I just complained that waffle came on a plate without anything plus it was very dry and looked sloppy...especially when was $6.95 and not $5 as waiter told me for a cup of liquid batter cooked in the waffle iron...so manager just walked away from me ignoring my concern and showed ZERO COURTESY. Then cashier asked me if I want to leave a tip for the waiter. Well....i did and paid for everything but this place left a really "bad taste" in my mouth and a hole in my wallet. Never going back!

The food is very good in Parkview...as long as you DO NOT make a phone order for delivery. I say this because I had the worse phone order experience one could ever have. Besides the fact that my soda was not included (in the bag nor on the receipt), these people neglected to send half of the food I had paid $25 for (which was basically a hot open sandwich deluxe--which came in cold---and a slice of pie...if thats not over-charging you can call me Queen Elizabeth III). When I finally received the missing items (an hour after I called the diner the second time) it looked like someone had sat on it (my vote goes to the delivery dude). When I tried to to speak to the manager, I was kept on hold for 30 minutes (with them picking up then putting it back on hold from time to time) until I was finally cut off. Needless to say, I called back and when I was told the manager was too busy, I totally lost my head (mind you, I still havent eaten). The manager finally did call me back to offer credit on the next phone order but I told him that I would NEVER order over the phone again. So, since I had such a WONderful experience, Ive rated Parkview Diner 4 stars for the food and double-minus 0 for delivery--one minus because the phone order dude who kept misunderstanding what I was saying, and the other minus because of the delivery dude who brought me cold and smashed food (Unfortunately, I had to put a star or I wouldnt be able to send this).

NEVER AGAIN will I ever order from this place! My husband and I order from here all the time and the past few times its taken between an hour to an hour and a half for the food to come. I get that places are busy but really???? An hour and a half for diner food?? Last week when we ordered they told us 25 minutes. I figured to give it at least 45 minutes considering its taken so long in the past. After an hour my husband called to see where the food was and they said the delivery guy just left with it. Annoying but whatever, we were starving and figured wed get it in the next 15 - 20 minutes. Well we did not get the food until an hour after my husband called, making it a TWO HOUR WAIT in total! The delivery guy did apologize but then he said that he called my husband several times because he was waiting outside. Total bullshit! We had our phones next to us waiting for a call the entire time! NEVER AGAIN are we ordering from this place! Which is too bad because the food is actually pretty good - FIX YOUR SERVICE/DELIVERY ISSUES!!!

My husband and i decided to try parkview diner which was known as cropsey diner and then retro, which had gone under many years ago.One would think if your replacing a diner with one that had such a bad reputation for many years before closing down that you would make damn sure that the diner you are now opening would be A-1.Instead,not only does the food suck(big time) it has nothing else going for it at all.The only good part of the experience was the waiter Himie who had a million dollar personality. You would think that the owner or manager would greet the customers properly, not even did anyone come to the table to ask how everything was,i guess they knew what the response would be. Shame on you parkview diner i can place a money bet you will not be there for long. And for the record, i happen to be a chef myself, thyme does not belong in meatloaf. It was terrible from the beginning to the end.Qualilty, taste ,freshness, presentation, all NOT THERE. GOODBYE YOU ARE A VERY POOR BUSINESS MAN.
