Im not a picky person and I love food almost any food is tasty to me but experience matters too. I like to review when I can after dining at a new place whether its positive or negative Im sorry to say but this time wasnt too great: 1). The service was fine but not anything over the top - not super friendly, only checked on us twice, had to ask two times for a side that we had wanted 2). My boyfriend ordered one of the most expensive items on the menu which was the sirloin steak, he asked for medium rare but he got it back burned on the outside and the outer edges of the piece were very rough and well done. When the waitress asked if it was okay my boyfriend mentioned the rough parts and the burnt outside she offered to take it away but since we had already been waiting thirty minutes for our food he settled and she said/did nothing more. 3). I had ordered the 6 oz all natural beef burger with fries and a side cup of soup. The soup of the day was potato and lentil which I thought sounded great but it was the most bland, tasteless soup Ive had. The fries are okay but werent salted and nothing special. Could microwave some frozen fries and wouldnt know the difference. 4). My burger was plain like something I could make very simply at home. Just a plain beef patty, pickles, mayo, and onion. Once again, very bland. The description made it sound so yummy and unique. Disappointing to say the least. The only good thing here is the atmosphere. They have a small amphitheatre kids run around on the grass. Theres fireplaces down there too. We chose to sit on the outdoor porch. The inside decor is outstanding. Very dark woods with a loungey feel. Good atmosphere to go on a date.

Worst thanksgiving meal I can ever remember... 1. we showed up for our advanced reservation for a party of 9, only to find our table had been given to another party because they complained about needing a reservation. We ended up being show to a table 30 minutes later. 2. they tried seating us upstairs when we had three seniors in our party that were unable to negotiates stairs (we had specified ground level seating when we made our reservations two weeks in advance. we had to wait any additional 15 minutes to get other ground level seating 3. waited thirty minutes in the buffet line only to get to the food and find they were out of salmon, mashed potatoes, stuffing and deserts. 4. returned to the table to find our wait staff failed to provide silverware, by the time they came around again our food was cold. The best part of this meal was walking through the door thinking to myself I would never be back... Thanks for the memorys - all bad but never the less "memorys"

I go here a lot because the food is good and i like the atmosphere, I gave it three stars because I havent always gotten good service and I have had to wait a long time for food usually. Theres been a few incidents where I thought I wasnt going to go back because the service was that bad. Ive gotten a pizza that I swear they probably only cooked it for less than 5 minutes because it was so doughy. Ive also had a waitress that just forgot about us so the manager had to fill in for her. However Ive also had such amazing service at times and the food was fast and perfect. So I would say its a hit or a miss because they have incredible food and a great atmosphere and some night live music but sometimes life happens and you get the other side where maybe a few people called in that night so things get messy and I understand. So still gonna come here from time to time but I hope In the future they choose staff that actually wants to be there.

Wow, I had to check to make sure I was looking at the right place when reading reviews - my husband and I LOVE this place. The food and drinks is incredible - my husband always goes for the "porch-swing" IPA. Very good. I wouldnt say the service is outstanding, but people have always been friendly and never bothersome. Anyways, the food more than makes up for it. And the prices - great value. Everything weve ordered is so flavorful. Our favorite meal is the "Big on Pig" sandwich (I think thats what its called). It is so amazing, my husband and I have talked about it frequently since we first had it. Its pulled pork with pickled jalepenos and cole slaw. I always get the side salad with raspberry vinaigrette - and its delicious. The atmosphere is also super nice here with a laid back, rustic vibe with cool live music playing regularly. I would definitely recommend this place - I hope we always live near a McMenamins!

Went here with my girlfriend. I got the steak bites with Cajun tots. When they brought my plate, everything was cold all the way through. The steak, blue cheese fondue, and fries that they brought instead of what I had ordered. They brought me a side of Cajun tots and informed me they would take that off my bill.... Confused, I waited for the bill. There was nothing removed. They were informing me that I wouldnt have to pay for the tots they had to bring me for messing up my order, which I find strange. The steak bikes I received, aside from being cold, MAYBE came out to 3 ounces of meat. The starter truffle fries I ordered were also so drenched in salt it was difficult to choke them down, but I absolutely hate wasting food. For $16 with my meal alone, I could have got fast food and given a few homeless people meals and been much more satisfied. Worst McMenamins Ive been to yet. $50 wasted and will not be returning.

We had a party of six. Although I am sure our experience would have been different with a different server, we were extremely disappointed. I hope the company takes a closer look into those that are hired to be servers, and maintains the quality of professionalism. Product complaints: pasta dish had no flavor. Glass of wine brought was only a quarter full( for what I paid?!), beer not poured properly- no foam. Server complaints: server was asked three times for correction to meal, server passed out dishes and drinks to the wrong customers, server passed out dishes to customers to pass down the table to other customers. Given that this establishment is a step up from local take out and is slightly more refined in its presentation, we expected better than what we received. I will say that other servers seemed more professional and polite; even assisting with our needs throughout our meal.

The Old Church in Wilsonville is a beautiful location. The entire place has been artistically restored. Ive never came to the Old Church as a destination, but I can tell you there are many people who do. Every time Ive every been here this place has had a full house. Ive only ever stopped here for a quick Happy Hour when traveling between Portland and other destination farther South. The food and beers are McMenamins dependable, and the service is great. I always got straight to the bar area, and there has always been a waiting list to get a table in the main seating areas. Because of its location in a high density shopping area the outside is sometimes as packed as the outside.
