This is hands down the worst place Ive ever spent my time and stomach space. thank god I didnt pay because my friend took me out but okay ill keep it simple we had a waitress with funeral makeup on judging us from the moment we sat down. yes were black with sweats and timberlands on but its winter time give me a break. basically I knew what I wanted from the moment I sat down but of course she made us wait at least 30 minutes before she came over...my friend ordered a pina colada and Im gonna say it looked like infant throw up so he asked for another one not only did this lady roll her eyes she said loud enough for everybody to hear "umm he says he doesnt like how it tastes so can u make another one" like who is she trying to embarrass then after her boss walks passed she tries to act like she has behavior giving us the check because after the nasty attitude, drink and cold food I was over it. so on our way to pay her boss who was unaware of her nasty attitude and poor customer service he asks if we want to leave her a tip. we both laughed and left making sure she heard us this time. If its up to me nobody that I know will ever eat here again!!!!

Judging by the furniture and decor, it appears to be an older, well-kept establishment. One thing you are greeted with when you enter is a window filled with delicious looking cakes and pastries! YUM! We were seated as soon as we entered and our waitress did an excellent job waiting on us with a smile. Crowd population on this chilly Friday evening? 55 and up. I felt as though I was in a retirement communitys cafeteria. No worries though, everyone was very nice. Even the lady dining next to us who, on her way out, stopped to tell us to enjoy our meal and wished us a happy new year. I ordered a house salad, prime rib steak, mashed potatoes and broccoli for $26. I would expect this price from a restaurant in the city with good steak. To my disappointment, the steak was chewy with a lot of fat still attached and the broccoli was raw. Not much flavor if any packed into this meal. The salad and mashed potatoes with gravy were pretty good. They have got some delicious good ol classic milkshakes. I say they win me with desserts and service but not so much on quality of the food.

The food was delicious! Please try their Chicken Souvlaki Platter. My first intent was to order waffles with two pieces of fried chicken but the waiter said that they dont have that in the menu it is something they should consider. However their Chicken Souvlaki Platter sounded great on the menu. The platter comes with grilled chicken, a mixed salad with radish, olives, and green peppers ,everything pertaining to the Mediterranean taste. By the way the chicken was well seasoned and done. The french fries were just right. The price was good . The waiter was okay ,very cordial. However, as a waiter you should go the extra mile.Meaning, Im the customer , it is my right to get whatever I want on the menu , right! My palate desired waffles & two pieces of fried chicken . So you always please the customer, thats the number one rule in business!!! Plus the waiter took about 20 minutes to give me my ticket to check out...... really!

Its pure nostalgia for anyone thats been to an old school South Brooklyn diner. Ample Parking lot and easy to find. Thats where the love story ends. The service is horrendous. On my last visit my friend specifically asked if the bread pictured on the menu would be the same on his panini and that it not be pita bread. The waitress assured us that they had "real panini bread". The sandwich arrived on oblong shaped slices of pita bread. My friend voiced displeasure only to be scolded by the waitress. She proceeded to stare malevolently at us for the rest of the meal. Halfway through, the cook came out to debate with us whether or not the bread was "real panini bread". He conceded only minutes later after he came to understand that the picture in the menu was referenced during the order. Worst dining experience of 2017 by miles. I wish it was this placed that closed down and not Kings Plaza Diner.

I grew up with this place...... Having said that, please keep in mind the last time I ate here was in 2004 (Before I left Brooklyn for California, and as I recall, the food was fine). Im sure a LOT has changed in 11 years, so I will just say this: The Floridian always had AWESOME food when I was growing up. The Cheeseburgers were the bomb, the cakes were exceptional, and all the other foods fresh & well-prepared. This comes from probably about twenty years of eating there, and with few exceptions, nary a bad meal. Having not been there in eleven years, I cant possibly comment on the current state of the food and service there now, BUT, I will say, that the Floridian, in my experience of it, was a Brooklyn institution, and a purveyor of fine diner food in NY tradition.

I have been going to this diner for years and went in this morning for breakfast with my wife as we often do on holidays from work. The waitress completely ignored me while only talking to my wife. I tried to ask for hot chocolate instead of coffee and she just walked away. Every time she checked in on us she looked only at my wife and only asked her if everything was ok. Im sure its no coincidence that Im black and she is white. Despite how long we have been eating there, I am not sure Ill ever go again. I guess Ill be waiting at the long lines at IHOP.

This is the worst of the diners now. Decor is belch-depresses me from the time I enter. boring orange is pale and it looks like something from a dull 60s and even the renovation has you snoozing. Its loud and clanking of dishes and people. The food is horrid, after so many visits I see no improvement. When my friends and I get together the 1st talk of food is NOT the Floridian!!! The prices keep going up and on certain days like Christmas there is a HUGE increase premium charge. Keep driving down Flatbush....dont eat here.

I went there with my jamal and we ate some burgers and fries. They were aight, but nothing special. The food was aight, but the one girl working there was hottttt like whoa. I asked for her number, but she said she was dating one of the bus boy guys, so i was like, you are dating a bus boy and she was like, yeah so, then i had some pie, which was better thenz the burger, so i left happy - i also plays the game in the front, but didnt win, so i was upset but at least the burger was aight
