After years of occasionally dining at this place we have seriously never been this disappointed. Its a shame that over the years this place has gotten worse and worse. Only about three months ago this place was reasonably decent to dine at. We walked in on a reasonable Sunday afternoon to two waitresses and one open table. We waited a little long for a waitress to come to our table and take our orders. She certainly is not a people person there was no warm greeting or hello like in the past. As we watch one gal tending to 3/4 of the tables we converse about how we got hosed. After a longer wait than expected and a conversation about moving tables (although would have been rude) we placed our orders. Personally I ordered a Mediterranean omelette with no mushrooms, followed by a kids eggs and links and a ruben sandwich with salad.. It took not only about 40 minutes to get our orders but in the mean time I sat at the table waiting on a coffee refill for 20 minutes all the while we had a gross dirty table and no waitress service. FINALLY our food came and was of course rudely placed down on the table by a silent waitress it was given to us without any utensils and nothing to drink. So at this point the service has been terrible and the food didnt fall any shorter. The omelette not only had mushrooms in it (although requested none) the eggs were like rubber and thinner than a crepe. The ONLY good thing on my plate was the hash browns and I HATE hash browns! Of course kids never complain but thats to be expected so there isnt anything to say about that. The Ruben was served with a salad that was surprisingly good. The Ruben was edible, although probably shouldnt have been consumed. The taste was odd and didnt taste anything like a Ruben the condiment used was certainly not what was expected. We didnt bother waiting on a register ticket and certainly did not tip our server. We also will not be going back to this once gem at the top of the hill on 99E

Tonight my wife and I ate at your restaurant. She ordered a ham & cheese omelet and I ordered a 12oz prime rib. When I ordered I asked our server, Caitlin B., if you had RARE prime rib. Her reply was "Im sure we do." I told her it would probably come out medium rare at best. I told her the last 3 times I ordered prime rib it didnt come out right. She said "Ill put it in as rare." When our dinner arrived, I cut into the prime rib and it was only cooked as MEDIUM. Not even medium rare. Caitlin came back and asked how are dinner was. I showed her my prime rib and asked her if that looked like it was rare. She commented she didnt know. She said she would take it back and see if she could get a cut out of the center as it wouldnt be as cooked there. I told here NO. My reason: Im tired of having to send my meals back because someone doesnt know the difference between the levels of doneness. Maybe I just need to find another restaurant to eat at. I would challenge you to have a friend of yours, that your staff doesnt know, go in and order prime rib RARE and see how it comes out. I think youd be surprised. If it doesnt come out rare, and Im confident it wont, then I would suggest you retrain your cooks or tell your customer they dont have a choice on how its cooked.

Dirty, rude and slow! When we sat down we were one of three tables. Shortly about 5 more tables filled up. ALL of those customers that arrived after us, received their meal first. 45 mins later our food arrived cold and some of our order was completely wrong. When I asked Brian our wait staff why our food was served so late, he became defensive and rude. After we left, my husband thought he had left his wallet there. I called and spoke with Brian and his response was "I dont know what to tell ya its not here, I got to go." We will NEVER eat here again. And strongly advise using a bathroom before you go to this restraunt as theirs is disgusting!!

Top O Hill restaurant was sold several years ago. Prior to the sell, it was the best restaurant for breakfast anywhere in the state. After the sell, the food is not very good. The eggs in the omlet and the eggs scrambled are very thin sheets of eggs that are folded several times. This makes for very greasy tasting eggs. The pancakes are made in advance and set on the side of the grill leaving them hard on one side and sweaty on the other. We told the staff about the food, but nothing changed. We used to eat there every Saturday morning for years, but now rarely ever go there.

We have used Top OHills catering services for company events with the community and our employees. They are efficient in confirming the order requested and being on-time for delivery. We appreciate their detail to the presentation of the foods served. They always provide us with plenty of condiments, accompaniments (extra gravy for the biscuits - just in case) and serving utensils. They deliver and pick-up leaving you with very little to do prior or post event. Thank you for your services, we look forward to continuing with you!

Great american breakfast style! The staff is always checking on you and making sure you have all you need. The menu is big enough so that you have a lot of options, but not so big that you cant pick anything. The staff accommodated me very well when I wanted to make a little change in my order, even suggested some ideas to help me out. Awesome service

I used to come to Top O Hill as a kid, and now 25 years later they are still rocking it. My burger was nothing fancy, better than fast food, and I left full and satisfied. What more can you ask? It was served in a timely manner by very nice lady whom I cannot remember her name, but got me everything I needed to make my meal a success.

A long time favorite and ongoing good down home cooking in quantity. I never miss stopping! Even if I just want pie and coffee or outstanding fresh cinnamon rolls. This place has been active for (96 years) generations and still great! New owners(15 years) now run a catering truck as well.

Great American food and people. Probably one of the only 90 year old restaurants that has survived being around after the new freeways were put in. Nothing fancy, great portions and a great spot for a meal with family, friends or on your way through.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Top-O-Hill; great food, friendly atmosphere that we found so invigorating and favorable. Fay and Colleen were capable, amicable, and efficient. We plan on making it a regular stop.

This is not what it used to be. I remember eating here with my grandpa when I was a little girl and it was awesome. Now the food is not always served hot and I think they use canned veggies. Even the pies dont look good anymore.

Nothing to write home about. Rude servers, odd tasting foods, and apparently by reading the reviews this isnt the first time! Maybe you guys should take a hint and take action!
