The server seemed to be going between the entryway and the tables so the sushi chef had to call her when he noticed we were waiting to get our order taken. We ordered the sashimi appetizer which is supposed to come with 7 different types of fish. Instead we got just 7 pieces of three difference kinds of fish. I felt ripped off. We also got the cooked fillet of mackerel which came on a plate with cabbage, rice, and some other endible fluff, all for 10 bux. Just too much for what you get. The miso was typical but the salad was just sliced cucumbers with rice vinegar and some sugar, not even sliced well. The spider roll and the spicy tuna roll were average but just overall our experience sucked there and we will never go back.

Went in the middle of the afternoon between Christmas and New Years - there was maybe one other table occupied, nice hostess, 1 chef. We ordered sushi and appetizers for 6 adults and a baby and...... waited. And waited. And waited. No apologies, no nothing, not rude - hostess refilled our beer but even when I ordered some edamame for the kiddo it took forever. How?!?! Maybe they were opposed to the baby? But why, in the middle of a holiday afternoon? When we FINALLY got our 2 plates of sushi / sashimi, they were excellent - really great quality fish. But OH. MY. GOD. the service was just ridiculously slow, cancelled out the good eats entirely.

A self-selected sampling of various nigiri (mainly tunas, mackerel, and tamago (egg)) yielded consistently that *none* were very good. The fish was a bit old - so it had almost no distinguishable flavors and what was approaching slimy texture. At $3.75 per order (of 2 pieces), I strongly recommend going somewhere else -- except if you are on a date with someone you really dont like. Note: The above was from the Broadway location at lunchtime. The location on 23rd seems to have better quality fish (though still not impressive).

No customer service. Food is over priced. Not friendly. There are better options for sushi Everywhere in Portland. There are sushi belts better than this place.. mostly frozen fish. Parking lol a joke. Took 30 mins for a Togo order I called in hour early for set time. And I had to wait 30 mins with unfriendly workers. The purpose of calling an order in with a specific time is so you dont have e to wait 30 mins when the restaurant is not even 4 tables..

Disappointing. I guess you pay for what you get for. The prices across the board are a bit cheaper than most Japanese restaurants but that is probably because the service was so bad. I don’t think Ill be going back there again. The server was late with our food and seemed to forget what we ordered in the first place. I get it… cheap food has benefits but in this case service was definitely compromised.

I only have to say, all the people there are very friendly, sometimes they might be busy but if you get their attention they always come to you right away. Their food is really good, is the best Japanese food I have eaten in a long time, I have been to different Japanese restaurants and this one by far is the best. I will continue to go there over and over again, the food is worth the price

Always really liked this place. Very friendly. Stabdout dishes would be the yakisoba, salt broiled mackarel, and anything off of the sushi menu. Today we tried the steamed clams and the teriyaki eggplant apps and they were a little disappointing. Id stay away from these. Teriyaki chicken is awesome, as are the don buri bowls. Always with a large Asahi, please.

Small Japanese restaurant that has a decently priced happy hour sushi. The waitress was really friendly. The gyudon was pretty lacking, using thicker cut sirloin compared to the thin buttery melt in your mouth sukiyaki cut. Still really tasty, but it was more pricy than I thought it deserved. They have a large Asian alcohol selection.

Friendly service and great sushi for the price. Not too fancy, and I dont think itll blow you away, but there is a discernable attention to detail and thoughtfulness to the nigiri. Importantly, the hamachi, saba, anago, and amaebi were great! Mild, fresh but not too fresh flavor. Plus, surprise fried amaebi heads! Awesome touch.

Seriously my favorite sushi place in portland. I take my sushi very seriously. This place is great, the sushi is good, the roll selection is great, even their other japanese food on the menu is marvelous. The happy hour menu makes it even more worth it if you can make it, and that shouldnt be hard!

We stumbled on this place after walking out of Koji for bad service. The servers at Yuki had drinks on our table and the order in to the sushi chefs in less than 5 minutes. The service was impeccable. The food was amazing!! The sushi was fresh and beautiful. Yuki is our new fav for sushi!

The one piece of traditional sushi I had (yellowtail, I believe) was stomach-turning bad. Ive had better quality on conveyor belts. Everything else was unremarkable at best. Tried them once, and will never go back, especially with 4 or more superior options within 5 blocks.

Lots of veggie rolls to choose from (more than just your standard AAC roll) and great prices, especially if youre there for the happy hour menu before 5:30pm. The environment is relaxed and friendly, and they always provide good customer service.

In the irvington, Yuki has won me over for service, quality and value. Never have I had a bad piece of fish or poor service. This is my go to sushi spot when wanting a truly delicious and affordable Japanese meal!

Glad that I found this place as I was looking for a place to get some sushi and sake. Great sushi at the proper prices. My girlfriend enjoyed the sukiyami very much. Be sure to try out the Jamaican Fever roll.

Everytime I can I stop here for sushi. The rolls are delicious and there is a 30% off happy hour menu from about 11:30am to 4ish. Portions are generous and the food is delicious. I highly recommend it.
