Disappointing Having eaten here at least four times, thus facilitating a reasonable sample size. Definitely enough to gather both the service and quality of food are consistent. Service ranks 3/5; its ok. As for the food, theres two ways to look it. One, its average sushi for the Eugene/Springfield region. Two, its simply sub-par. The salads all come with the same dressing (regardless of description) and when the fish isnt the fresh within the sashimi dishes, you know the other are dishes are going to be in question. Id be hard pressed to come up with three occasions in my life that Ive declined paying for a dish. One of them was here, for a sushi roll. Understand, I love good sukiyaki, nigirizushi, sashimi, and other forms of Japanese food. Your just not going to find them here. Maybe they have a great Philadelphia roll loaded with cream cheese and imitation crab? I couldnt tell you.

I will never be back. I was really wanting sushi and stopped here for the first time to eat with my two kids. After a long wait we received my kids food but not mine. The ladys hands were full so I didnt ask questions. After my kids practically finished their plates, I flagged down the same lady and asked when was I going to get my rolls. Apparently they completely over looked my rolls and never made them. Not only did I not receive any food but also nobody came over to check on us to see if we needed anything, if they had this probably could have been avoided. They did apologize and said they will make it right now but after being there for an hour, my kids done with their dinner and extremely poor service, I told them to forget it and Ill take my check. No discount or anything, I walked out of there completely dissatisfied with their business.

Sushi Domo is our go-to spot for sushi in Eugene. The prices are higher than at some of the other spots around town, but if you really want a good roll, this is THE place to go. Their specialty baked rolls are amazing - I would highly recommend the Lobster roll, the Manhattan, the Volcano, the Crunchy Spicy, and the SBC (shrimp or scallops baked on California - your choice). Ive never gone there with enough people to be able to order their massive sushi boat (literally, a long wooden boat filled with sushi), but it looks awesome. I see some folks have complained about the service, and during the dinner rush it can be very crowded, but the wait staff are friendly and the food is worth it. If youre in a hurry I would recommend going early (before 5:30) or late (after 7), and youll find that the wait times drop significantly.

I am a huge sushi fan. My favorite sushi restaurant has been "sakura", great food, superb service, food comes very quickly! Excellent place! After hearing about how good the food was @ Sushi Domo, I decided to try it. I am not a hard customer to have. My husband is in the restaurant business, and I am in the service industry, too. But, the server was the rudest person I have ever met! It was ridiculous! However, I decided to try the place again maybe 6 months later...and the service was better, although the sushi was still just " OK ", the restaurant both times have been pretty slow, with it still taking about 30 min. to get my food. Not impressed at all! Im over this place! Try the new "izumi" in the new Crescent Village. Its my new fav!

The quality of the sushi and rolls here is probably the best in the Eugene area. They also have a large selection of tasty vegetarian rolls. Unfortunately, its probably the absolute WORST service I have seen. And sushi joints are pretty much known for having crappy service, with too few waitstaff... so to be the worst, you have to be pretty dang awful. If there is a wait, be prepared to fight for a table or bar seats, as "regulars" will just walk past the inattentive hostess and steal seats from the waiting patrons. And forget about getting drink refills, learn to drink less and suck on ice cubes until they turn to water. If just ONE decent sushi place with decent prices and decent service were to open in Eugene, it would be a godsend.

The kitchen is awesome, but the service is reminiscent of government run soup kitchen. A group that arrived after us was seated before our party. Then, when our party of 4 was seated we were placed at a table with only 3 chairs. One in our party was left standing for 4 minutes before a chair was brought. A regular Pepsi was served instead of the diet Pepsi ordered. Our food was served at random order to the table with some entrees coming out minutes prior to the others. Then, we were served the final insult. Our order of sushi was very late. Other tables were served much sooner than we were. Then, the check was delivered to the table without ever serving our sushi order! Absolutely unacceptable.

The food is excellent and the service is top notch. Even though this isnt a "family restaurant", they arent pretentious and we can bring our children knowing that we will be treated well. Granted, we have been teaching our kids to behave well in restaurants. Their special rolls are great; especially the Titanic, & red bull Know that if you order any of the fried rolls like the Eugene roll, they will be on the heavy side. The pork asparagus appetizer is tasty.

Our favorite sushi place by far! Love the Hawaiian roll, shrimp killer, most recently tried the heart attack which was similar to a cream cheese popper deep fried in amazing sauces. Service is on the slower side sometimes, but if you go there often enough the manager Michelle takes good care of you and memorizes what sauces you like to go with. Always fresh tasting fish. About average price for sushi.

First time to Domo after hearing about it from numerous people that it is outstanding and I must admit, came here somewhat skeptical but after dining here, I too am singing their praises. Outstanding food and service and reasonably priced (albeit a little pricey) but well worth it. I highly recommend Domo for lunch or dinner.

Absolutely delicious! The Seaside roll was amazing. We tried a couple new things, like sea urchin and a quail egg on our tobiko. The service was awesome too, super friendly people working there. Literally have nothing bad to say, it was the definition of a perfect dining experience. Price was even reasonable too!

I thought sushi domo had the freshest and best tasting sushi in eugene. Then i branched out and went to sushi pure. Much friendlier service and a much more classy joint. The sushi is five or six grades better in my book. Would recomend over domo any day

While the service is not fantastic, we come back for the sushi because its amazing (in comparison to whats available in Eugene). The ambiance is nice, the wait is a little long, and while the wait staff is not overly pleasant, their service is adequate.

It was a disaster. We waited hour and got burned tonkatsu. Had to wait another half an hour for my sashimi. I dont care about price if its worth it. But oh my god I can get better sushi with half a price anywhere in Eugene. Im not coming back. Hell no.
