Tonight we were disappointed with the service at Lava Grill and there was no manager on duty to address the issue. The food was great as usual - the staff did fine until it came time for our check. Because the menu is picey we always bring a coupon. Unfortunately we were told tonight that our 10% Off coupon had expired only 3 days before and would not be honored. REALLY? We are frequent customers and a family of 5...we always spend over $100 each time we visit...So we asked for a manager and were told there was no manager on duty...REALLY? On a busy Friday night...no manager...not one? Our server brought a gentleman over that turned out to be another server who could not help us and confirmed there was no manager on duty. We explained that in the future they would lose our business if there was no attempt at a resolution...he said, OK he understood and there was nothing he could do. So hello NIKKO SUSHI (across the street from Lava Grill) - you just won yourself a new customer - your food and service is just as good, your coupons are better, and you always have a manager on duty!

Hibachi anyone? I loved my Medium Rare Filet and Shrimp The fried rice was perfectly made. And I definitely enjoy the vegetables. I never have too many experiences like my most recent here. The fellow teased that his name was Ricky Ricardo, but Im no Lucy. I would request this chef again if possible. Some have a tendency to make either the sauce to strong or over season the food so that I feel my tongue gets sensitive to it like it was a bit burnt but not. My friends and I frequent this restaurant and dont often have a bad time. Once had visited and ordered a green coconut curry dish and it was not as I expected it, comparing to multiple other places I have craved after, so I wont repeat that order there. Love their Sushi Chefs abilities, to include Butterfly kisses. Enjoyed the pad Thai, each time was a mountain of food, sometimes less moist a dish than I prefer it to be, perhaps I could request an oil for that. Hope you visit and rate your own experiences.

The sushi here was pretty awesome for Texas -----seriously, who would have thought. I, and a few members of my party got sick afterwards, but I would give them the benefit of the doubt as several of us had traveled in from out of town and I am not entirely sure if it was eating here that made us sick. Aside from that I thought the service was great and the food was tasty.

Ive been to some fancy sushi places, (like Kinichi. The worst!) and they NEVER amount to this casual sushi place. Well, Nobu might be a little better. Anyways, I love Lava Grill. The fish is always fresh and the rolls are delicious! You MUST try this place out. MMmMM! Hibachi is good too.

Love, love, love. The honey roasted duck ramen is superb. Crispy skin, delicious broth. We also get the pork fried rice every time we come. Honestly we always order way too much food because we have yet to find something on the menu that we did not like.

Absolutely delicious! I ordered the chicken pineapple fried rice and it was amazing. I called in my order because it was during my lunch break but when I walked in, it was clean and the staff was friendly. I will definitely recommend this place!

This place is amazing. We go about once a month and the kids and grand-kids love it too. They have great drinks {Slightly strong}, great food and the kids love the show that the chefs put on. Never disappointed when we go here.

One of my favorite place to go for having hibachi food. Been here multiple times and it is always entertaining to watch the cook doing his thing. Though the food is decent always feel this place is worth going to.

My absolute favorite place for sushi. It is all good!! The service is quick and polite; Ive never had to wait for them to refill a drink or bring my check around, no matter how packed the place is.

My go-to sushi place in Texas! The sashimi is always extremely fresh and the service is great (especially sitting at the sushi bar). Also, their Tom Kha soup with chicken is a must try.
