Bad Service. Bad Food. Bad Times. Ive lived in the Gresham area my entire life and finally decided to try out this buffet with my girlfriend. It was a pretty bad experience overall, both with the food and the staff on hand at the time. Never in my life have a left a restaurant or requested a refund because the food was so awful... But theres a first time for everything. Most of the food I tried was pretty gross and I only managed to sample a few things off my plate before I was finished with this place.. not only did most of what I tried taste bad, but it was lukewarm or cold, having obviously been sitting out for a while, and looked like it came out of a box straight from Costco. Im glad I did not try the seafood.. Their battered chicken dishes (orange chicken, etc) were room temperature, dried out and beyond chewy, I only managed to eat two bites before moving on. The egg roll I took a bite of matched the qualities of the chicken. The fried rice was cold, but tasted acceptable. The food from their teriyaki/Hawaiian section was okay, being warm and actually tasting good.. but once I found the hair mixed with and cooked into the teriyaki glaze, I was done with this place (I understand that people shed, and hair will inevitably end up in food, its never stopped me from removing the offending strand and finishing my food before, or rarely, requesting that it be remade), but this was the last strike in quickly growing list of food service offenses. Getting bad food will happen every once in a while, But Ive been lucky enough to at least have good customer service experiences when stuff like this happens.. but not today. We got up to speak with whomever was running the cash register, leaving our half-finished drinks and mostly untouched plates at the table, and a server frantically scrambled after us, making sure I had the $20 ticket, even though we had been there less than 5 minutes and something was clearly wrong. I requested that the food be taken off the bill, that we only wanted to pay for our drinks, explaining we hadnt eaten the food, trying as politely as possible to say the food was not acceptable, and that we had found hair in it. The cashier just kept repeating the total bill in broken english, not seeming to understand me. I pulled my hair and pointed at the counter while doing an eating gesture, which finally broke the communication barrier, but was only met with an indifferent and accusatory "Why you wait now to say", (Immediate response is apparently waiting too long, I never knew), followed by another repeating of the total on our bill. I eventually managed to get the guy to reluctantly take one plate off the bill, (despite neither I or my girlfriend managing to eat more than a few bites), but that was all, and never received any kind of apology in the entire process. Utterly disgusted by the food and service, and will never be returning here again... But hey, at least the soda tasted like it should have and arrived before we sat down with our plates. Kudos there.

The Good: Staff very nice. Plenty of prompt refills on soda. 3 napkins on table. The Bad: Food was less than average. Kung Pow chicken had no pow in it at all. All of the ingredients tasted the same. Bland. The fresh peanuts were the best part. I have made much better at home from an internet recipe. (Sorry but its true) The Mongolian "Beef" tasted like no beef I have ever had. The texture was way wrong and it had a distinctive, slight rancid/gamey flavor unlike any meat that Ive tasted. Maybe it was texurized vegetable protein. Yeah, right. Only the DNA knows for sure. The Egg Rolls were nice and crispy but were filled with a weird tasteless, bland, dry, course ground green filling that looked like rabbit pellets (poop) and sawdust mixed together. I swear to gawd! Oh, wait. Not exactly tasteless. Tasted a little like freezer burned rabbit pellets (poop) and sawdust. I could go on, but I dont want to be negitive. They all were very nice to me. Please, please, please use fresh ginger and fresh garlic in the Kung Pow! But frozen egg rolls? Really? Who does that? The Ugly: The tables had so much grime rubbed into the wood and finish that they were sticky and discolored. The bathrooms were disgusting and unsanitary. I am not exaggerating when I state that I have seen cleaner restrooms in homeless shelters and truck stops. I wont go in to detail in fear of spurring an official investigation. WTF is wrong with you guys? You need Chef Ramsey to come in and kick your arse around and scream at you for a few weeks!!! Spend a little money on fresh food and clean the place up! You could fill all of those empty tables and become rich. Sheesh!

EVERYTHING was cold. The man that greeted us was cold and not friendly. Everything tasted terrible. Chicken was gelatinous. Rice was mushy and over steamed. And worst of all I went to take my child to use the restroom and couldnt because there was VOMIT covering the entrance and up on the door to the ladies restroom. I told a server behind the sushi bar that was cleaning up, and all she did was go "oh!" And it took her 10 minutes to mosey on over there with a mop to clean it up. My husband tried to take our child to the mens restroom only to find an old unused toilet inside the handicap stall across from the regular toilet just sitting there, and upon him leaving there is a sign saying "employees must wash hands" next to a missing soap dispenser having been ripped off the wall and no soap available! Disgusting. Not worth the money, fire the cooks and the cashier, fire the management because someone dropped the ball.

Went downhill since I was last there about 3 years back. It was mothers day and full of Mexicans which is fine but they bring their children and they dont watch after them at all. Its as if they expect other staff and guests to watch out for them. Another freebie coming the America I guess. A boy wandering around while his mother ate paying absolutely no attention to her child at all ran into my wife with a plate of food in her hand. Some of it landed on the child and maybe, maybe his mother cleaned him up. Natural consequences but there were children unsupervised running all around. Raise the prices a little, increase the quality of the food and keep out the riff-raff like it use to be.

I will agree that few items at this restaurant are truly extraordinary but for an overall value, its outstanding. Its clean, lots of space and well run. They have chilled seafood (crab & shrimp), freshly made sushi, salads (from ceviche to spring salad), lots of hot dishes (orange chicken, sweet & sour, dim sum dumplings), kids dishes (pizza, etc.), soups and even a small selection of Hawaiian BBQ (pork & fish). The real value is the amount of variety you get for the price (around $10/person, less for lunch and more for dinner). If you come genuinely hungry and with good company its a great place to enjoy a meal together. Bring someone with a birthday and they eat for free!

Today was my third time going there. Its a nice place, with alot of different dishes. I try to go for a bit of everything... The pizza was extremely undercooked and tasted terrible. Half way through our meal all three of us had to leave because we were feeling so sick. Im waiting for the food poisoning to hit me right now. The manager(maybe owner) is a total grouch we received a ten minute lecture when we went to pay about how we should have told him it was my friends birthday when we first arrived. I understand them wanting to know, but the lecture was ridiculous 11.99 for dinner + 1.50 drink isnt too bad i guess, but there are other places that are cheaper.
