Casual atmosphere, excellent food. Our hotel conceirge recommended this place to us for a casual italian experience. First impression was a small local place not in the downtown area- nice mix of people - high school kids, families and couples on dates. Service was excellent- wait staff would stop and fold your napkin if you got up to go to the restroom- which I thought was very attentive. Food: Was also beyond my expectation, order an appetizer platter with various meats, cheeses and toasted bread. The house made pepperoni and sausages were nice. The main course I had hand made tortellini with scallops and prawns in a basil pesto cream sauce- probably a Top 10 all-time meal for myself. My wife had cantelloni, which she seemed to enjoy, but not nearly as much as I enjoyed the tortellini. For dessert we had the house made ice cream sandwhich, a chocolate cookie with pecans and vanilla ice cream. Atmosphere: The space was well decorated with old pictures and cooking utensils- my only knock against the restaurant is that it is a bit loud inside. The space could benefit from the addition of some accoustic panels on the wood ceiling to really cut back the noise level. While we could hear each other across the table, there were times we had to lean in to talk or raise our voices to hear one another. All in all, definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for excellent italian with a casual atmosphere and great service! Also, hit Open Table and book your reservation - you may still have to wait for a seat with a reservation, but this is a popular restaurant, so expect at least a good 30-60 minute wait on a weekend night.

The food was excellent, made a reservation for Sunday night an hour before we got there. They were accommodating and friendly. The food was awesome: I got the bacon manicotti which was incredible, and my husband got the rotini dish with garlic sausage, which he also loved. Corkage fee was $12 if you have your own wine to bring. They opened our wax topped bottle with no problem.

Very attentive staff who made sure my wine glass is never empty. The wine we got, Sleeping Giant 2014, Pinot noir from the Carneros winery, was excellent. It received a rating of 5 from Vivino and went well with our meat pizza and rigattoni with papa sauce. I give it a 4 because the flavor of the papa sauce was too strong for my taste. The pizza was good.

The atmosphere is casual. The restaurant plays old school music which adds to the ambiance. The kitchen is open and there is a bar. The menu has a great selection of choices without being over whelming. Half portions of pasta are available. The restaurant was very clean, the food was tasty , the staff was friendly and the prices were great.

The food here was amazing! The service was a little slow, but not due to any foreseeable issue - just that the food took a long time to cook. But everything we ordered, drinks included, was fantastic! The staff was extremely apologetic about the wait time, and comped us an incredible appetizer and dessert. Will gladly visit again!
