Conveyor belt sushi is apparently enough to excite your average sushi-goer in Eugene. What it means is that peolpe have been poking and prodding your room-temperature nigiri while it goes around and around. Ive watched customers take a plate off the line, take off the lid, sniff it, and then cover it again and put it back. Not a good sign, and the image of other customers handling food you might end up taking is less than appetizing. The fish is not always odorless. Their phone is nearly always broken so you cant call in orders ahead of time - it just goes to a message service which none of their staff know about when you ask. The waitstaff are all college kids who rotate through quickly. The lunch special is a pretty good deal however, the chicken tastes fishy and the salad usually is so wilted that it looks like it should have been thrown out the night before. I have no idea why people rave about this place when there are two superior sushi establishments within walking distance - one of which is less than a block away!

Id have to say, you can pretty much expect these kind of prices for sushi. Sushi in general is going to be pretty expensive. It just depends on how much you really want to eat. A friend and I went in, and were sat promptly, the service was somewhatly slow, but to be expected on a Friday night. In regards to a previous post, does it matter if the waitresses are all Korean? Last night I just saw a Caucasian waitress. Anyway, aside from these factors, the sushi was pretty tasty! We spent in total $16, and we were full. Id suggest ordering a roll, so your not spending more than you should and knowing what your about to receive :)

Semi-decent quality, but it is WAY too expensive for what it is, which is pre-made sushi on a conveyor belt. The chefs will make you some of the specialties fresh, but if you ask for something thats already zooming around the restaurant, they might just pull it off the belt and hand it to you. By contrast, a similar conveyor belt joint in Portland (Sushi Land, downtown) is about 1/2 the price for similar quality and better service. Im not sure Ive ever been in a sushi restaurant that had GOOD service, and this place is no different. Too many customers, too few staff.

The best sushi restaurant Ive been in Eugene!! I have not been to Sushi Station for a while and it certainly changed a lot in very very positive way. Not that I mean it was bad, but it got much better and exceeds my standard by far~~ The decor changed, they got whole new serving dishes, and the service was excellent. I heard the management is changed and it certainly reflects that, I assume. Fish quality and freshness are the best compared to any other sushi places in Eugene. I definitely will come back again and become a regular patron.

They had pretty much no gluten free options and didnt try to accommodate it at all. I was told after several tries of the waiter going back and forth saying yes something was gf then coming back saying it wasnt, that there really wasnt anything and he just shrugged like sorry. So I had to leave without eating. I will be sure to Go over to pure instead from now on. Its so easy to offer gluten free options with tamari gluten free soy sauce and you could easily make your miso with that instead and be able to Feed many more people.

this place is great tasting and cheap, but the soy sauce on the tables is weird, mostly in a bad way. I have read other reviews in similar places and read the same complaint. I have been to dozens of sushi places and i cant figure out... they really need to figure that out then this place would be perfect, id go every week. Also the cheap sushi is on the bar going around, the menu prices are maybe a bit above average but the presentation is cool and the selection unique... Just the Soy Sauce.. how do you mess up the soy sauce...

My husband and I came in for dinner on Friday night around 5pm. When we arrived the place was empty besides 1 other couple and there were multiple ppl working. We ordered multiple spicy rolls and our server never once came to check on us or refill our waters. As we looked around for our server to get more water we saw her and 2 other servers in the hostess corner on their cell phones!! The sushi was great but the service and level of professionalism was a definite turn off. Sorry sushi station we will not be back.

This place is amazing! Great selection of delicious fresh fish at the best prices in town. A decent amount of vegetarian selections as well. They have a cool conveyor belt, which is wonderful (as long as you dont eat off the belt right before closing when the sushi is old). This place also makes a perfect (and cheap) seared salmon nigiri. I tried one at Sushi Domo, and it was almost double the price and a smaller peice of fish... Sushi Station is just better, period.

I absolutely love this place. The sushi is the best and the most reasonably priced I have had. The Waiters and Waitresses are super friendly whenever I go in. Me and some friends went their for prom and they went out of their way to make it nice. The only time they messed up our order was when they accidental gave us two fried ice creams instead of one. They didnt charge us though. I absolutely love this place, and I am actually going there to eat later today.

Perhaps I just chose a bad time (lunch) to dine at Sushi Station, but Ill never know because Im not going back. The fish itself was not fresh and neither was the rice. The quality of the fish seemed OK, but Id rather have fresh fish if possible, and fresh rice is an absolute must for decent or better sushi. The construction of the Sushi was also sub-standard. I was really disappointed watching my over-priced sushi fall to pieces when I picked it up.

I really enjoyed my meal at Sushi Station. Kind of a hip spot with other places to check out nearby. It is pretty neat inside with a cool conveyor-belt style sushi bar as well as normal seating for ordering off the menu. Service was great and all of the sushi and sashimi ordered was very well executed and tasted great. Nothing ground-breaking here but definitely a great choice if you are in the area and want good, reasonably priced sushi.

You have to really, really search to find a long roll on their menu that does not have Krab in it. Tempura shrimp roll? Shrimp and Krab. The service was good, and the salmon skin roll was good. The nori was thick and quite chewy on all the rolls. Preparation was sloppy...uneven cuts & preparation even on nigiri made eating more challenging and less pleasant than it should be.

I know everybody finds the sushi belt thing so fascinating but does ambiance really make up for cheap ingredients and rip-off concepts? If youve been enjoying Safeway Sushi in the prepackaged box or havent branched out from a California roll then you may find this place palatable. If you like novelty this is your place, if you like sushi, head elsewhere.

Sushi is my all time favorite food. And for me, a great sushi restaurant is all about nice cuts of fresh fish. I live and travel all over the world and I always make an effort to come eat here when Im visiting Eugene. The Sushi station has the best sushi price to value ratio I have ever experienced. Delicious, fresh, and affordable. Cant beat it.
