The sushi is what I would have expected had I walked into a strip mall in Cleveland OH. Passable. Better than Safeway, not as good as Sushitown. Disappointed in portions - 4 pc rolls you pay 9 dollars for should be much better than this. Either that or more plentiful. The teriyaki chicken was dry but portions were ok. My 3 yr old wouldnt eat it and she eats everything. Wait... she did eat the rice. So kudos rice time on making rice a 3 yr old can stomach. Although we did have to drown it in teriyaki sauce. Of course thats also how she likes her pancakes... except with syrup. My suggestion - skip this place. not worth the time or investment in something the best I can say about is that it probably wont make you sick. But I suppose if youre drunk it would work in a pinch.

Hello, I love the restaurant I come often but I recently noticed two things about the Bento Box 1. The portions are getting very small. The tempura has tiny pieces compared to was before. The chicken portion is also very small. My friends have noticed the same thing too. 2. Many times the chicken in the Bento Box is burned. I mean really burned and believe me nobody wants to eat burned grilled chicken it tastes very bad so I leave some of the chicken from a portion that is small to begin with. I like the restaurant but these problems are not fixed I wont come anymore.

Me and my wife went to Fuji Ricetime for Fathers day dinner on 06.14.08 after reading the reviews. We have been to many Sushi places in Oregon as well as when we travel and nothing can compare to Fuji Ricetime!. The food was Awesome! and we will be back soon as it is worth the 30 min drive to Salem. The staff is very friendly and the service is great. We would also recommend the appetizer soft shell crab! you have to try it. This is a great place to take family and friends as well as someone who has never tried sushi as they will not be disappointed.

I had been going to Fuji about once a week for lunch. Today I went in and ordered their ahi poke and had to spit it out because it was off. I adore raw ahi - its one of my favorite things in the world. When I tried to send it back I was told I had to pay for it. I informed them that I wouldnt be going back if that was the case. Is the $3 for the bad poke really worth a consistent customer?

Im new to the Salem area and was recommended Fuji Rice Time for their teriyaki. Ive eaten there twice in the last two weeks and not only is their teriyaki delicious, their tempura is always hot and crispy and they have the best sushi Ive had in years! Great atmosphere, pleasant staff...they even remembered Im allergic to shrimp and kept it off my order. Ill certainly be a regular there!

Not a fan of sushi but there are enough alternatives to keep you happy. Can be tough to find parking but generally plenty of seats available. Great service and they are frequently checking in on you, which I appreciate. Can be a cheap eat just depending how hungry you are.

OH my gosh! Fuji Rice Time is Amazing! My job is totoring Japanese exchange students and the fact that they find it to be the closest to home cooking is all the proof I need to say its the best place Japanese in Salem!

From the outside, Fuji Rice Time looks like a run down sushi place. But once you get inside, it is a nicely decorated. They have been known to have the best sushi and Salem, and so far I have to agree.

It looks like a little hole in the wall, but they have good food. I dont care for sushi, but they have alot of other alternatives. Parking is difficult though. Overall, a great lunch joint.

You can order sushi rolls or bowls. If you dont really like sushi there are other items you might like. The sushi rolls are really big and filling. The price is reasonable.

We enjoy their udon (soup). Friendly staff. Decent place to go for Japanese style eats. For lunch order at counter. Dinner is more formal with menus after being seated.

Good sushi, great service. Love their tempura and the sake. The seating could be more comfortable, but I guess theyre trying to be authentic.
