In one word - disappointing. We arrived for lunch early before the lunch crowd arrived, hoping to get fast service. We placed an order for an appetizer and sushi rolls. As our appetizer arrived, the restaurant filled with a bustling, lunch crowd and our lone server was kept very busy. After watching all the other tables around us receive their food (having arrived after we did), we asked our server about our order. She couldnt explain why our order for rolls never arrived. We explained that we needed to leave, and she offered to pay for our appetizer out of her own pocket. We couldnt allow our server to do that, so we paid for the appetizer and left - hungry, disappointed, and not a little frustrated. Our server was nice and apologetic, but it would have been much appreciated if the manager had spoken to us, apologized, and perhaps offered to comp the appetizer. The food on other peoples tables looked amazing, which made it even worse that we left empty handed.

If you go during busy hours or regular meal hours, then you will receive somewhat useful service and great food. This restaurant focuses on great chefs, but because of the lack of focus on the service employees, they are almost completely useless. The bad service usually includes no refills, no check ups, attitude from employees which is not from their job, but from gossip that they are actively talking to their co-workers right next to you (while taking orders). Overall, this is an acceptable sushi joint in hillsboro, which is useful if you cant get a ride to the sushi restaurants located in downtown Hillsboro or evergreen road. If you have a car though, then dont bother with this place, spend your money where you can create a good memory and also eat god food, their shouldnt be an option of one or the other at this price range.

Amazing.. The fish is high quality, the people are friendly and the service is great. If its your birthday make sure and let them know.. they gave me a little extra something that was absolutely DELICIOUS. I used to go to the one in Portland on the west side. They closed down, I imagine as a result in rent increase (expanding area and higher property values) but theyve kept their menu exactly THE SAME. Ill be making the 40 minute drive out very soon.. well worth it. And worth noting that Ill be driving by AT LEAST 10 other sushi places on the way. If you go to one of those belt-driven sushi displays, save your money and check out Yuki for their happy hour menus. Affordable, and a great deal on the same rolls youd get outside of happy hour... nothing worse than getting skimped on. I love this place, and Im sure you will too.

I just started going to Yukis as it recently opened in Orenco. So far, I have tried various Nigri items which have all been really good. The salmon and tuna rolls are also good - nice amount of fresh fish that you dont need a microscope to find - rice is done nicely and obviously fresh. For eat-in, it looks a little close, but the place is on the small side. The bar area lets customers see the sushi items thru a refrigerated glass enclosure. Staff has been friendly, service is prompt, and fish is very fresh. Dinner prices seem a little high, but the quality is excellent.

I dont know what the hype is about. We didnt eat the sushi, so no comment on that. We ordered 2 items off the dinner menu. My food came out COLD, like it was sitting there a while. My wifes teriyaki chicken was well-done with a ton of teriyaki sauce to drown the fact. Also, the miso soup with dinner is from a pre-mix; you can tell because it separates upon sitting. We did get a pleasant Happy Hour discount, but that was the only highlight of the night. If you want good Japanese food, go to Koji @ Cornell and Allie.

I have visited this restaurant a few times, always had a good visit. The waiters/waitresses may not always be the quickest but they are always busy when I have been there. The sushi has always been really good and we received our orders quickly. The most recent time I went with my boyfriend and we sat at the bar. One of the sushi chefs gave us a free appetizer while we were eating. They are always friendly and the sushi is reasonable priced.

What they lack in service, they definitely make up in portion and taste. I had the Teriyaki which was delicious. Unfortunately the waitress brought me Miso soup and no spoon (only chopsticks), and tried to charge me for a drink I never received. I can understand lunch time can be busy, but to stiff me on a diet Pepsi and not bring me eating utensils detracted from the experience. Sadly to say, I wont be eating there again,

My husband and I love this place. We look forward to eating here at the end of every week. The staff is great and friendly, and alway remember us (and what we usually order)! They have a large assortment of fun and different rolls, especially new ones on the special menu. And again, I cant say enough how much we love this place. If you are looking for something casual, fun, creative, and welcoming, this is your place!

Ive lived in Portland for 17 years and been a sushi fan for 10...NEVER found better sushi than Yukis! The salmon is always very fresh, the appetizers are great and the food comes fast. My boyfriend lived in Japan for a few months and says Yuki does it best when it comes to authenticity. Must Try Rolls = the Yuki Roll (Theres a reason they named it after themselves) as well as the Salmon&Scallop.

Delicious, yet none of my orders across multiple visits have arrived looking like the complete version displayed in their photo menu (often missing garnishes, toppings, and served in basic straight line formations). In essence I feel shorted with each order and would advise others to order only the most basic rolls (which are hopefully complete).

Did not like the fact that there was a really loud party in the corner table and they never asked to turned it down, and I asked for an extra roll and after 20 minutes of waiting I asked for my check, the waitress came and told me that because I order after my original order thats why my one roll was taking forever. Did not like her attitude.

It seems like good sushi is hard to find around here. I only eat nigiri sushi. So Im just looking for the fish to be fresh, cut cleanly and not overdone with wasabi. Especially nice if the price isnt crazy high. This place fits the bill. The staff is always friendly. Good selection of sake, including local stuff made in forest grove.

Fun little Japanese spot with great food and service. Diverse menu with several different kinds of fresh sushi and many other entrees and appetizers. Outdoor seating was great during the summer. Nice selection of drinks and saki too. Service was friendly and fast. Ill stop by anytime Im in the area.

If there was negative stars, I would give them some. The sushi was warm and fishy. The cooked fish was very salty and over done. After complaining, they offered to make something else for me. I ordered the spicy pork. The pork was spoiled. I will never eat there again.
