1.0 star rating 5/12/2016 We went to celebrate one of our team members Birthday.A Girl got up to seat us, visibly annoyed with the presence of paying customers He led us to a table and tossed our menus on it then walked away. We should have left then. The service was slow and unfriendly. We never got any refills on drinks. It was the first and only time Ive felt unwelcome in a restaurant. We told waitress the name of the girl who was had birthday but not even one person with her happy birthday. We had to ask for everything because all the waiters were busy with other things and nobody cares what we need even after lunch we had to go to front desk and ask for bill and pay them. The food was mediocre. Weve been to other locations and really enjoyed the food. The food here was bland. I ask waiter to talk to the Manager but he told me in Spanish we have to wait because Manager was serving food. When I called and told Manager that your waiter give us someone elses food and then return after 37 minutes with right order and all other things. Manager was very rude and said we have video recording and I will watch and after I will call you back. I was so surprised that he is telling me that he do not believe me what I was telling him. After 15 days I never received call from him. We wont be returning.

I have to completely disagree with the reviews below. Just last night I ordered food to go for 8 people (adults and kids). The service was great, the food was excellent and kids meals are 50% off on Sundays! The shrimp quesadilla is really superb. The chicken soup is homemade, delicious broth with tender chicken and really spicy pico on top with cilantro--amazing and the quac cant be beat. The tacos, tamale and enchiladas were good (not amazing but really good). The soup and quesadillas are highlights. Try it again!

Worst service EVER!! Maria wont even look at me. I had to get another server to take my order after finishing a basket of chips by myself. My order was pushed in front of me without a word. Then I had to bother them again to ask for silverware and a napkin. Still no sound from the server. I know she can speak because she asks the person at the table next to me a lot of questions. She turns away from me though. The taco salad is good but the service sucks. Just not my day.

Ordered carry-out tacos, enchilada, chalupa, chile con queso expecting standard, cheap, basic Mexican food. Everything was pretty bad---to the point that most went uneaten. The hard-shell tacos were soggy and there was nothing in the taco but salty meat and cheese. The chile con queso and the enchilada was one soupy mess lacking in flavor. We have tried other places in town that have much, much better food for similar prices.

Great atmosphere, great service, and great FOOD! Try the Quesadilla de Calabaza, especially if youre vegetarian! But Im not a loved it anyway. It was a tad salty, but the crema and guacamole balanced it out perfectly! Warning: The salsa that comes with the chips is HOT. I loved it. But those who are of a more delicate pallet might ask for milder salsa.

Coming from Phoenix this is just horrible. If you like tons of cheese and salt then this is your place. I have been several times due to company wanting to go here but they were not raised around great mexican food so they dont know any better. If you are used to American Mexican then you may enjoy this but theres always Taco Bell and thats better.

Great atmosphere and the food portions were huge! Great value for the food we got and we were in and out in 40 minutes, which was great since we had to get back on the road. Will definitely be going back the next time we have to road-trip through Charlottesville.

Best Choriqueso in town. If they are busy, summon your patience. Delivery via OrderUp takes too long so youre better off stopping by in person. Staff is super friendly when they are not in the weeds. Free parking is a plus.

Food is overpriced, especially considering that there is very little flavor to it and the sauces taste like Campbells tomato soup. $8 Margarita had very little if any alcohol. Taco Bell is actually better

Dont really understand the hype about this place or why it is necessary to have three locations within a 5 mile radius. Disappointed with the beans being from a can. Makes me miss California :(

Good for cheap mexican food. Wouldnt put it at the top of my list, but I do crave it every now and again, for what thats worth. I recommend the enchildadas supreme and the white sauce.

Please! Im from San Diego so most folks may give this charming restaurant 5 stars. But for me the food doesnt rate to the highest standards Im used to. We did have a nice meal.
