The food and drink were decent. Only had an appetizer as I had just a few hours to kill. The support staff was super friendly but the female bartender was extremely rude. She never advised me of the specials, didnt ask me how my food was and only gave me a second beer after I asked for one., despite my glass sirting empty. In addition, she acted offended when I asked the bus boy for a to go box. Even making a rude comment about it to him in front of me. When I stated to her that I was only trying to help her out since she had just been seated a 6 top and had two of us ready to cash out, she simply rolled her eyes and slapped down my bill. She definitely should not be in the service industry. I often sit at the bar vs a table as the service is always great but not this time. Will give it another try provided a different staff member is on duty.

With a name like Flatiron Bar and Grill, I would expect at least one standard steak dish to be on the menu. However the underwhelming menu options and service leave a lot to be desired. I ended up ordering the Flatiron Salad (the only option which included steak) with the sirloin and the assorted olive appetizer. Steak was pan-seared, not grilled with no flavor on top of a sea of of kale and sundries tomatoes. Decent cocktail options, but be prepared to wait 15 minutes for them...and pay at least $8. My friend never received the gumbo she ordered and the server couldnt describe Szechaun sauce. Incompetent. There have to be better options. Spend your money elsewhere.

We ate here last night, and if you want to eat good french fries on a lovely patio, then this is the place for you. If you want good service or good barbeque, go someplace else. When I realized that the sandwich the server had brought me was not the one I had ordered, he argued with me, so I was stuck with a sandwich that was not only too spicy for my stomach, but also cold. My husband ordered the ribs, which were the driest pork ribs he had ever had. I had been here a couple of times a few years back and remembered the food as being great along with the service. Maybe it was just an off night?

Why are there not more places like this in the world I will never know. Unique selection of dishes, all of them done very well. Ive never had a bad meal here. The French Fries are to die for and all the Cajun dishes are very good and they never try to hard to impress. Just good food. Excellent beer and Scotch selection, the waitresses are always friendly and fun. The do their own BBQ and maybe its not as good as that in Carolina its as good as anything Ive found in Ohio and better then most. When I come to Columbus for conventions I love it here and eat here as often as possible! Awesome.

I love going here when I am down to Columbus for Origins Game Fair. I go for the pulled pork. I get in at 4pm and find out that the menu is limited. I can deal with that but the lady behind the bar who was suppose to serve me was very rude. She rolled her eyes when I asked for the pulled pork and slapped down the lunch menu. I left and will go back at 5 and kindly ask to not be served by her. She should get out of the service industry and get a job in a cubicle! Manager please get rid of her She will be poison to your business!

Stayed nearby so I thought I would try it since I did not want to travel anywhere for a meal. What a mistake! I ordered the ribs with a side of greens and fries. Fries were only edible in vinegar. Greens were so severely over cooked that they had no taste at all. The ribs were the worst I have ever tried. I literally took one bite and threw the entire half rack out. Only good thing is that my employer has to reimburse me for the meal since I was in town on business.

Im going with 4, but this is an American version of a pub, so keep your expectations appropriate. Barman Will is the personality - stay close with him, he wont steer you wrong. Short-order cooks do magic on their limited FOH range. Ask Will whats good. Never been poisoned in this place of locals - none of whom appear to have missed many meals, and theyre here a lot.

The menu posted online does not match the actual menu presented. The choices on the menu are very little. The fried chicken as well as the fries tasted and looked like the fry oil wasnt changed for month. The bread on the side of the chicken was stale/dry. The coleslaw was boring and underseasoned. 1st and last time for me.

The best gumbo in town!! Lots of chunky goodness! Shrimp, sausage, the spice was perfect and I spiked it up with some hot sauce. Just terrific. The cook also offered up some other samples from his stove as I sat across from him in this comfortable bar area with 2 screens to watch hockey.

The food is not only great, but it is not the same food that you find over and over in this city. The food and drinks are fairly priced and the atmosphere and service speak for themselves. Flatiron is a fun restaurant and great place to meet up with friends.

We had great cocktails and delicious crabcakes. I would have rated it higher but the air conditioning was out and 90 outside, but our waitress made up for it! She was super! Great corner bar with super food.

We had a great experience last Friday night! Service was awesome and food delicious! The Flat Iron burger and Butternut Squash Pasta is a must have. Along with the wings for appetizer!

Cool building, good food. A little on the pricey side, but its a lot of food for the money. I had a ton of trouble trying to eat a burger there because it was just too large.

Work force and food were fantastic! Gumbo was a must to start with. The building history alone is reason to make this a stop and eat. Enjoy!

Great southern food! There is a smoker on the back patio, so you know they mean business! The burger is one of the best kept secrets in town!

Smash burger! Sooo good. Maybe the best burger in Columbus. Matt Heagins knows what hes doing, and hes got a great staff supporting him.

Must visit for anyone out of town or at the convention center. Go for the days special or gumbo or salads. Quick for lunch, too.

Great food, great ambiance, they ran out of a few items. The fried Cornish game when was over cooked. Service was good.

No, skip this joint. Overpriced, average service and the food isnt that good. I feel completely ripped-off, actually.
