Came in from Chicago to see last game of the year. I would have rated this place a 4 BUT I am going to be a biased patron. Was asked for my D.L. and Debit card to open a tab. As I was closing out my tab I never received my ID back. The male bartender said they didnt have it and to ask the female bartender. This is my fault for not paying attention and getting tipsy bc I asked the 2 girls of many bartenders who both went and looked and said they didnt have it. I was confused and thought maybe I just misplaced it. The next day was a Sunday and they are closed so I had no chance to get it. My GF called that Monday bc she lost her e-cig only to find out they had both. She asked the gentlemen if they could send the e-cig and ID due to the circumstances of what I was told and that we were back in Illinois. He said yes, but not to expect it anytime soon he was going to ship it standard. So today 4/22 I called and talked to a gentleman named Tyler only to find out they have a " no mail " policy and the only way I can get the ID is come pick it up. I had roughly a 50$ tab I tipped around 12$ drinks only. I wasnt a ass about it, so to think someone from the place cant drop my ID in a USPS box which will be sent to my house for FREE isnt to much to ask is it? I can understand the e-cig bc that might involve shipping charges which I would be happy to send $ first to get it back. I would just recommend anyone from out of town to take note of this in case it happens to them. My opinion of the bar is its HUGE and a lot of FUN for a younger crowd! The music for the dance floor was great and we all had a blast. The place was slammed so getting drinks was a wait but expected. If youre younger crowd that likes loud music in a industrial type building ( big and open ) this is your place. UPDATE 5/10/2016: I just found out about the response John (GM) left on Google . I had to actually go back and look myself though. ( Google should let you know that someone responded to your feedback instead of you having to check yourself ) . I am very happy that John said he would send back the ID and E-cig to address listed on my DL. He was very nice and explained the policy to me. They are just trying to be professional with the business, and secure with peoples personal identification / bank accounts. I really appreciate and respect that! Since everything was handled extremely professional I would happily come back again! This is the way customers are supposed to be treated. Thank you John and good luck with Brothers!

Ive come to brothers often for a few years now. I ordered one shot while at the bar when it was a rush and apparently he thought I said 10. I told him no you are wrong as why would I order 10 shots just for me. He continued to tell me I was lying and that I ordered it and I had to pay. I refused and he then said if you dont pay I will go get the police that stand out front of the bar. So I told him to go do that. He then ran out from behind the bar and went to the front door and brought two police officers in to talk to me. He then told the cops right in front of me that I put all my fingers out to symbol that I said 10 shots. Which was completely a lie. Never did I do that. I then told them to go check the cameras and see which they wouldnt. The police then said I either had to pay for the 10 shots or I have to leave right now and Im never allowed to come back in. I refused to pay because I never ordered it and I was escorted out by 2 officers. This is completely unacceptable and not how you treat long term paying customers. I dont know if the bartender didnt want to get in trouble by the manager or whoever by making a mistake like that but he refused to accept that he was wrong and that I never ordered 10 shots. I dont even understand how it could even come to that point where the bartender really tried to force me to pay for 10 shots that I never ordered. What was I even suppose to do with 10 shots just for myself. Its pretty obvious he made a mistake but instead he tried to intimidate me into to paying for his mistake by bringing two police officers inside. Completely unprofessional.

This is he worst establishment Ive ever come across. We are locals and came to brothers before a hockey game and had an enjoyable time. However, after the game we tried to meet up with friends there but our group was not allowed to do so. The "door men" cursed at me. Told my friend that he was not alowed to come in with a flatbill, even though there were a handful of customers on the patio wearing flatbills. When asked about those customers they had no response, just dismissed us with a wave of their hands. Evidently the rules dont apply to those customers. When I went back and asked to speak to a manager the door men said that I needed to stop bothering customers, that the cops would be here soon and that the manager was too busy to talk to me (aggressively talking to me, even though customers in line were not bothered by my presence and I was not raising my voice). He didnt even check with a manager, just looked at me and said hes busy go away. He accused us of not being able to get into the establishment next door either. Went next door to Gaswerks and we were gladly welcomed. Talked to some customers there, of all different ethnicities, whom said that many times they had gone to brothers they had been discriminated against and that their reputation is that of being a racist and discriminatory establishment. Some of their stories were appalling. I will never again give my business to this establishment. It was disgusting how their doormen treated us and it is quite clear that they are power hungry within their positions. You all should be ashamed. If I could give zero stars I would.

I only put a star just so i could be able to comment. If it was possible not only would i take this star away, i would pour gasoline on every fkin star this artard establishment recieved from the dumbest "status quo" patrons and dance around a bonfire of ill represented reviews. (It would be a small fire with this 3 star average spot). I was visiting from another state and was turned away from two of the most mal nurished, drop out, paint sniffing, Justin Beiber gangta, Beavis and Butthead lookin teenaged doormen, for a "straight bill" hat. Normally i wouldnt care, but i counted at least 3 bartenders and several patrons in PLAIN FKN SIGHT with the same exact style hat. Im a writer. All i do is write, blog, piss people off and mess up reputations. I will return every month for a year just to order your nasty ass food and flirt with your tweeked out mid western FOPA waitresses just so i can write a negative review on this establishment and their bad breath. I will call the owner and managerial staff out BY NAME and personalize each and every review until youre begging the half dressed homeless man that hangs out around there to fill your ass tainted seats. Needless to say i dont fit the demographic. How long before people come to the conclusion of why i was really turned away. Perception and allegations seems to be enough these days. Lets see what happens.
