Was looking forward to some killer caribbean, creole, cajun, southern, Narlins kinda food and atmosphere. Seafood n such overflowing the table. Sorry, not really here. Strange location easily missed among the industrial supply buildings and office space. No sign to see from the approach then bam, you drove past! Been there 2 years but they seem to be struggling. Why? No visible advertising. Found them on my Verizon local points discount thingy. Interior is nondescript unfinished looking space with a small bar and a couple three tables. Waiter was cool in a rastafarian way, manager or owner seemed the kitchen nightmare type 2 years in and not seeing the forest for the trees. Skipped the jambalaya n such not seeing a wisecrackin bayou chef or jamaican jerk around so ordered some hummus and plantains apps, a pulled pork sammich with taters. Friend wanted lamb gyro greek type, sorry no lamb just chicken n vegan. Hummus was beyond bland. Plantains a bit meager and nothing special. Pulled pork wasnt bad, moist and decent portion but dont remember the slaw it was supposed to have. Maybe too much bbq sauce and wondering about corn syrup levels. Not homemade that I could tell. Potatos were disappointing, Couple small white taters with odd seasoning and mostly broken, nearly burnt crumbs. Kinda like that fast food fish place that loaded you with more crumbled breading than actual fish except these were taters precious. Gyro type sandwich was ok according to my friend. Nobody in the joint besides a table of bizniz type ladies who were loud n left. Beer n booze list a tad small so ordered one with goofiest name from Cowlumbus brewing or some other trendy microbrew. Again unspectacular. All in all, needs an imagination injection, a real seafood chef and at least a sign discernable from a distance.

My family and I had an excellent experience. The wait staff was extremely nice and attentive, going the extra mile on several occasions to accommodate our two-year-olds needs. We got an appetizer of veggie skins (potato skins filled with broccoli, peppers, and vegan cheese and then served with hummus) and it was just ok, but our entrees were a nightly special "smokey stuff chicken w/ pasta" and "crab stuffed tilapia" and both were generous portions filled with flavor. We were plenty full after the mains, but agreed that we had to try a desert when we heard that everything was house made. The key lime pie did not disappoint. It was nice and light and just the right amount of lime and made for a perfect end to a rather enjoyable meal. Throughout the whole evening, we enjoyed the slightly quiet and laid back vibe of the restaurant and we had a nice conversation with one of the owners before we left which is always nice. It is good to see local folks doing something they love and working hard at it. We will be back.

The atmosphere is nice besides the 3 flies flying. Im surprised this restaurant has 4 star average review since the food was bland and it honestly tasted like hospital food. I had the key lime chicken because out of all the menu options I thought that would have the most flavor. While it wasnt bad, it was not fantastic. The flavors were bland and the balance of acidity was off. The chicken was unevenly cooked, some parts were dry and others were just about right. Definitely not worth it.

In a word, FABO! A nice casual dining experience with an upscale feel, clean, welcoming, great vegetarian choices, cordial, engaging, knowledgeable staff, great service, and the food…made with intention and served with love, absolutely. My companion and I felt like we were eating home-cooked food made especially for us. Whether youre vegetarian or not, this place is a real winner.

Absolutely loved this place! Its small and can get pretty loud, when crowded, but the food was delicious! I had the crabbed stuffed tilapia and my friend had the jambalaya, both were excellent. We started off with the potato skins, which were stuffed with bacon, shrimp, cheese and served with an amazing bbq sauce. Our waiter was beyond friendly. Will definitely be back!

The wait staff was courteous and kind, but the food was underwhelming. Its carribean inspired, but the food had zero spice to it. I got the jambalaya and it was completely under seasoned. It tasted like meat boiled in tomato juice, not something i would be willing to spend $14+ on. Would come back again to see if the food improves, but as it stands now I couldnt recommend it

Quite possibly the best Grilled Chicken Sandwich Ive had anywhere and the Red Hook Potatoes they serve with all of their "Hand Held" items are fantastic as well. The red & green peppers along with the diced onions really made the flavor "pop". Presentation was excellent and the taste was even better. Will definitely be returning here again soon!!! :-D

Price was OK. Ordered the key lime chicken, blackened, but unfortunately it had a very rubbery texture and was hard to get through. Not much in the way of an apology, just an offer of a "steak knife" to cut through the overcooked chicken. Key lime pie was OK. The Mac and cheese was very good. Chips and dips were good, but dip quantity was lacking.

I had the black bean burger and my wife had the special pineapple chicken, and both were great. We had dinner drinks and desert; there pricing is great and I would highly recommend you going. They even gave us a business card with a discount when we go again. Thank you for a great first time dinner experience.

We have been many times in the past few years. I love the fusion food - particularly the southwestern pad thai. Calamari, veggie tempura and Vietnamese rolls are good too. Always enjoy the food. Service is decent and location, while a bit out of the way, is quite close to downtown Grandview.

Divine evening!!! Took two friends to dinner Saturday night. None had been there, and we all very much enjoyed it. Excellent food well presented, attentive courteous staff, great intimate atmosphere, tasty adult libations, all priced fairly. 5 star experience!!!

They messed up my order TWICE and the food quality was awful. The customer service was very polite, but when I pay $12 for a meal, I expect much more. I will never eat there again and I have told all my friends how bad it is.

I really liked our time at Red Hook. The food was all good and you can tell that they care about their food quality and customer service. I want to go back and try some other menu items because I had a tough time choosing.

Gem of a restaurant - non-chain and polished. I had the ribs and plantains w/ cinnamon for dessert w/ coffee - amazing. I was impressed that even the side dishes were very tasty. Compliments to the chef!

Their veggie burger is amazing, and I am a meat eater! Nice food selection and bar options. This is a new place, the old reviews are for the Asian Restaurant that was at the same location years ago.

Such a wonderful experience. Our server was so friendly and helpful, the cocktails were delicious and the food was phenomenal. The location is a little strange but dont let that keep you from going!
