Jumbo House is an old drive-in 5-6 miles west off of Interstate 65 with great burgers. During my visit, my order ended up being the Big Jack Cheeseburger ($7.89), an old-timey 3/4 pound greasy, err... I mean JUICY, hamburger topped with cheese, mayo, lettuce, a slice of tomato, pickles, and onions. They managed to get some nice brown crust on the surface of my burger in addition to delicious crispy little bits of dirty hamburgers past. Jumbo House has a pressure-fryer (aka broaster) and serves fried chicken and catfish, though the only fried food I had from them during my visit were their crinkle-cut French Fries ($1.89) which were previously frozen and hence disappointing. Given their delicious massive burgers, frozen fries arent a good enough reason to stay away from Jumbo House. I recommend this place for burgers if youre in the area.

Normally this place is a hit or miss but today it was a major miss, to a point where I do not recommend or trust this place. They have been having horrible customer service lately since they have hired young teenagers with stuck up easily offended attitudes. When calling in the order the girl literally kept cutting me off in the middle of me placing it, on top of that they got the order wrong! (Hmmmmm, wonder why??) She then got so offended and scoffed, her reply was bring it back and well replace with no apology. The new order had about 20 pickles on it and the most sauce I have ever recieved, completely vindictive. If you want to lose your appetite then this is the place to go, if not I recommend you stay away and go anywhere else but here.

Just actually left the store about 5/7 minutes ago..... Our first time coming to store to try the burgers weve heard so much about. We arrived at 940pm waited for our turn in line. As we walked up to the counter to order the girl at the counter says, "Sorry, weve already taken our last order for the night. We close at 10pm. The restaurant had people dining outside at 4 other guest waiting for food. Ive been in the restaurant business/ hospitality business for 20 years and if your sign and advertisements say you are open til 10, you take orders til 10pm. We wont back.

This has to be one of the best places to eat in Columbia. The good is traditional American food such as hamburgers, chillidogs for lunch. Supper us a treat as there is chicken, hamburger steaks and multiple other succulent choices to choose from. I have eaten there several times and the the fare is wonderful. The atmosphere is retro to an old fashioned drive in from the sixties or seventies. I have never had anything bad here, its all good.

Would love to give a valid review but being as how it is five minutes passed opening time and the doors are still locked with two teenage girls just looking at me like why are you here, I cant very well give a valid review. Ive been sitting here since ten minutes before opening. At 10:30 I walked to the door and they walked out the other door. So it is now five minutes passed, I will be going to Burger King or somewhere else. Thanks.

This place is always busy so we desided to stop at Jumbo House and see what we have been missing. All orders must be made inside then find a place to sit and await your delivery. We ordered a couple burgers, onion rings and soda $14.00. A cashier brought food to table. A very simple lunch without the WOW factor. So after one visit I wont be twisting arms to go here.

I lived in Columbia TN back in 08, loved Jumbo House. Still think about sometimes when I see foods I liked. A small tater tot....aint small. Wife and I will soon take a weekend off and drive down, shes heard about it thru me but has never been. Been in Asheville since 2009. Need a Jumbo House here.

This was our first time trying this local favorite. My burger was fantastic! Very flavorful, juicy, and cooked expertly. We visited during a busy time, and the wait for our food was pretty long. But, the overall experience was excellent, and well be adding this into our rotation!

They have catfish Tues Wed and Thurs...very fresh tasting and the tarter sauce is the BEST!! The sides are great too! My husband has a devilish weakness for the strawberry shakes that are loaded with strawberries! DELISH!!! All that and the folks are really friendly

Good Eats! As long as you stick with the catfish. Sad but true the fish is only available from TUESDAY thru THURSDAY. $7.01 after tax for the 3 piece. The burgers are just not that great too me but, some people rave about them. SO...... Your mileage may vary!

My wife and ilove stopping at old fashion hamburger joints we have stopped at many of them but have to be honest this was a awesome experience an the burgers areso good so if your ever in this area you got to try this place an I bet you keep comming back

We stop here all the time on our way back and forth between Alabama and Tennessee. We have never had a bad experience. It may be a little hot inside if they are busy and you will have to wait on them to cook it fresh but well worth it.

Great local burger place. They have chocolate / vanilla twist ice cream cones as well. Everything is fresh and made-to-order and theyre usually really quick and get your food out to you. Super friendly staff. I come here often

Triple Janie is 3 two oz beef patties loaded with all the fixings!!! Best burger and fries around. Fried chicken is too die for. Prices are very good and service is excellent. Hometown feel and very welcoming!!

The young lady that took my order was extremely rude and stuck up. She wouldnt repeat my order back to me. I didnt get part of my order and what I did get was wrong. I dont believe my family and I will be back.

The burgers (great) ansd chicken are probably the main attraction but i also enjoyed other items such as the bbq sandwich. No mattdr1what you eat save room for a delicious milkshake.
