Total DISAPOINTMENT! I called at 4-4:30 to ask about specials. I placed and order and told them I would pick it up at 6pm. I called back at 5:40 and asked them to add a desert. I show up and was greeted promptly and in a friendly manner. The phone rang and the associate very politely excused himself to answer it. To my surprise he didnt ask if they could please hold, but instead started taking their order! I continued to watch my food get cold. After several minutes I told him I would like my food before it became even colder. He didnt acknowledge me and another young man (also polite)me over to ask if he could help me. I told him the same thing. I did not yell, I tried to be very polite and reasonable. I asked to see the manager. When I explained that I walked in to pay for my food and the phone rang, I was not being taken care of. He exploded and told me they had to take their order just like when I called. I told hime when I called if someone had asked me to hold, I would have. I also told him I live right down the street and that its polite to take care of the person physically in front of you. He exploded, yelled, and kept repeating the same thing. I asked him if he realized his attitude would him my business and he told me I called him a idiot (which I didnt) and continued to be rude including the fact that it was now 6:10 and I should have been here at 6. This is the rudest treatment I have ever received! He asked me if I wanted my food and I said yes and Ill wait for it to be remade so it is hot. He said he had a better idea and told me just to take my food(now cold), and he would just comp it. Like he was doing me some sort of favor. I was shocked and appalled. I hope someone lets him know that without repeat local business it will be hard to stay open in this economy.

WORST EXPERIENCE IN A RESTURANT EVER! I typically go out about three times and month and truly enjoy a good sit down with a friend. On this unfortunate evening my family decided for my grandfathers birthday to have dinner at this establishment. To sum up this horrific establishment it all started with our waitress lets just say miss J( just first initial) was the most rude and unprofessional waitress I have EVER come across. She made rude remarks to many of my family members. Then came the food.... I would not serve this kind of food to my pet animal! and then when I obviously did not touch more than a bite she crudly remarked oh wow that must have been good. If I were you I would never visit this establishment. We are a nice large family who goes out just about every month for a birthday, and it truly is a crime that we had this one at THE WOODS.

The Woods is the kind of place that America used to have in every town before the BIG CHAIN restaurants came along with their cookie cutter menus. The Woods has an outdoor patio, a very friendly bar, a lower dining area, and my favorite place to eat is the loft area over the bar. The Woods is a very cozy place to come for drinks, pizza, and very good Italian styled food. My favorite dinner selection is the Mediterranean Chicken. Oh, and good wine choices with dinner too - whites and reds. Try it for Sunday evening dinner. You will be back.

Overall I had a blast. The aesthetic of the building was extremely enjoyable. My brothers and my food was very good with portions that were quite large and filling though admittedly a bit on the pricy side if youre looking for a more casual sit down. We got there on a Saturday night so there was a 20min wait which was no biggie and while we waited the hostess and bartender chatted with us and even let us try and ale we were curious about. Enjoyed my visit with none of the problems some of the few negative commenters claim to have had.

My wife and I go here about once a month. Atmosphere is dark but cozy. Food is almost always very good. We usually go on Saturdays for the prime rib special. Its almost always delicious. Only had one bad experience with a less than perfect steak. Was much thinner than usual and over cooked. Everyone has an off night every once in awhile. Also try the pizza. Its very good! I would recommend The Woods as a good alternative to all the chain restaurants

My wife and I have been dining at The Woods since me met, and up until the past 4-5 years we were happy with our meals. Most of our chicken and pasta dinners have been drenched in excessive butter, oils, cheese, and sauces. No meal really stands out from the other, and many are bland. The excellent service just cant make up for lackluster food, that frankly, doesnt sit well afterwards.

Solid meal. I had appetizers only because happy hour menu is pretty good. Really like the bruschetta. The chicken fingers has really like coating. The were good but not great. The corrected the calamari fine but it was okay. Mother in law really liked her pizza. Daughter loved her spaghetti. Worth a try during happy hour if you have not been. Pasta is good.

My husband and i loved everything about this place to the atmosphere to the food. Prices are about the same as olive garden very reasonable. Very vintage style resturant, Dont see many resturants that way anymore. Our server was very nice and conversed with us as well. Great place will definitely recommend to friends and family. The menu is very dated; in such a "foodie" town I was unpleasantly surprised by that. The appetizers are a laugh. Retro (when done well) = good, but just not trying = not good. Snotty, rather dismissive tone when speaking with the owner = really not good. I will never go to The Woods again. You shouldnt either :)

Decor is old style vintage very unique. the service and the food were bar none excellenr. My wife and I are definitely returning. Update! second time here and still everything is excellent. We are still looking for the bad that people have said in prior reviews (bad grammer and all) and do not see it.

We had our sons rehearsal dinner @ Behind the Woods. We live out of state and they were wonderful to deal with. The food was still be talked about 2 days later. Everything was perfect, the room looked wonderful, the food, the service....we could not have been more pleased.

Very nice cozy adorable restaurant / bar however employees seem like they never smile and act in a stuck up manner like there doing you a favor without getting paid other than that place is nice great bar and food is pretty good and music is great! Very relaxing place

Went to dinner there yesterday. 5:00, server was very brusque, only warmed up when she left the bill. I ordered rigatoni with sausage. It was terrible. Watery sauce, and the sausage was pink inside. My son ordered a hamburger and that was good.
