I live within 3 miles of this restaurant and living out in the country, it was exciting to have something so close! My husband & I gave it a try and its our last. From the food being mediocre, to the lack of service… but even worse - The restaurant had a special and said it Included the Drink, so of course I ordered a Tea. Well, we werent getting service, so I got up and asked for a refill, which she did bring. When we got the bill, we were charged for the tea. We hunted the waitress down again and reminded her that we got the special which included the drink (the board was in eye-view & we pointed it out). And so we asked her to please adjust the bill. She said she couldnt adjust it because we got a refill. Not to mention her delivery was very short & rude. At that point, we asked for a manager. She literally walked away laughing, and said, "Ok, you asked for it!" We were a bit taken back by that, but proceeded to try to talk to the manager. Well, we realized quickly why she did that! He told us that was the policy and he would not take it off and seemed very "angered" that we would even suggest taking the drink charge off. When we pointed out that there was nothing saying No Refills, he then proceeded to tell us that if we dont like it, we dont have to come back! Umm… well, we are taking his suggestion to heart and will NEVER go back there. Ill drive 8 miles to town and go where the food is better, the value is better, the service is better, and where they have ethical business practices. We eat out twice a day, seven days a week and Italian is my personal favorite… theres an Italian restaurant in town that is VERY happy Romas lost our business!

I live in Tallahassee. I love Tallahassee, and its handful of good Italian restaurants. Seriously. That said, we dont have an Italian restaurant that can produce a meal like we had here. Returning to Tallahassee from Naples, we got off at our usual I-75 Exit 354 to head home. (way nicer than going up to I-10, and divided four-lanes the entire way). It was 3pm. Thats well known to be the end of the kitchen lunch operation. It was raining hard and we chose upon Roma. Daughter ordered shrimp dish, I ordered veal piccata, son ordered Carbonara (I think). Truly sublime. Service was impeccable. Kitchen was clean/orderly (you walk in overlooking the kitchen, practically). Funny story: Daughter had a shrimp and then looked at me and said "Dad - these taste funny..." - I bit into one (huge, BTW) and honestly, the best/freshest tasting shrimp Ive ever had in a restaurant. (Again, I hate that Im not characterizing a TLH restaurant this way). The shrimp wasnt the lifeless / boiled shrimp that are often found in these sorts of dishes. I could have sworn those shrimp had only recently been shrimping about in nearby waters until the order came in - and only then were they harvested. OK - you get the point. For you Ocalers (is that what you call yourselves), you likely already know about this gem. However, for the rest of us - I encourage you to get off the road and forego the familiar and b-line it to Romas.

This place needs to take some Classes in manners. We took friends here on a Sat night and had to wait 20mins. At that time I ask about a table that was empty and the owners wife told me it was on hold. And she said theres a table with 2 chairs open and I told her there is 4 people in our party. She just walked away and never came to Seat us. Someone else seated us and then the Women that took our order was Very Rude she just tossed everything on the table and walked away. Then when she did come to take our order My Friend ask her Why Are You Being So Rude To Us. Oh she changed her attitude then And was nice. . Got the food and got up and left. The food was Cold. We heard the Owners Wife telling other people we were Rude to her. That was a lie. I did say something to the workers at the counter on the way out. And they told us The Owner and His Wife are a Pair of Ass Holes to work for. Thats why they cant keep anyone working there. Big Turn over all the time. Its a shame a owner of a place doesnt care about anyone but there selfs. I hope they read this and all the other Bad reviews and Really think twice about the Way they Treat the people that keep this place Open for them. Its everyone that Walks in the Door. That can Change Overnight.

First of all Im always fare and unbiased. In the case of this particular Roma Italian Restaurant, I have to give a review based on how costumers should be treated. This review is not on the quality of the food. I chose not to eat here because I was treated rudely. I hope they read these reviews and one day make some changes. Anyway, I went there with high hopes of enjoying a nice Italian meal, and I looked at the menu to decide what to buy. I asked a few questions about what is offered on the menu, who buys something without asking some questions especially if its your first experience at this restaurant. The employee seemed annoyed and agitated when I was inquiring about the meals on the menu. I dont see a problem with asking questions if your unfamiliar with something. Its not like I was asking for free samples. I was ready to spend hard earned money on their establishment but was treated with rudeness. I guess they dont like making money, or at least answering questions. No Italian restaurant Ive been to have treated me like this before. Id rather take my business elsewhere, which is unfortunate I would have like making business with them. Ill take my money elsewhere.

Im always skeptical of trendy Italian places, since they often charge entirely too much for no good reason, but this place is an exception to that rule. To start, the ambiance is very cool. Its an open concept floor plan where you can see into the kitchen, but at the same time you still feel like you have your own space. The food was delicious. I tried: - Burrata Tortelloni: Usually I like my pasta with meat, but the cheese was really filling and the sauce on this was amazing! They only gave 7 pieces in the dish, but that was enough! - Prosciutto Pizza: Nice, thick cut piece of prosciutto with figs, arugula and goat cheese #imdone - Bombolini: This doughy dessert full of deliciousness is perfect with the accompanying meyer lemon curd! So good! - Apple Bourbon Punch (cocktail): The server said this tastes like Christmas, and SHE WAS RIGHT! I loved how the bourbon didnt overpower the flavors of honey and chai! Such a great drink! Overall I enjoyed everything about this place ... the service, the food, the atmosphere ... and the pricing wasnt out of hand, which I appreciated! Definitely worth a visit! Stay Cheerful ;)

Went there on a Tuesday. Got a Stromboli and was happy with the price, (7.50) and pleased that they included 4 toppings with that. I didnt know that cheese was considered a topping and they charged me for 5 toppings instead of 4. After telling them they were wrong, I just walked away and ate my food. The sauce for the Stromboli wasnt bad. It was very watery though. I also ordered a water and could taste the bleach, (must be they use a 3 compartment sink). After dinner I went over the topping situation once again with what seemed to be a higher up, maybe a manager or something. She realized the mistake and said "thats our bad and well getcha next time". Not very professional if you ask me, also I did not like the fact that while I was eating there was employees gallivanting and just talking too loud. Maybe you could fix these simple things and this place wouldnt be half bad. IMPROVEMENT NEEDED
