Listen here - you ever see "30 Rock"? The episode where the teamsters go to get the magic subs? THIS has to be the place they go. The subs are out of this world. Unfreakingincredible. I once got one called the Leonardo DiCaprio that was so big I ate one half for lunch, one half for dinner and had a half leftover. It was a sub so big it had 3 halves. A great price for a delicious sandwich this place is not to be missed, especially if you get one topped with their homemade mozzarella. The amount of sandwiches (120+) and the fact theyre all named may be overwhelming but just try it out and youll find a favorite. I recommend the Leonardo DiCaprio or Bill Gallo

This place is amazing! You can get any type of sandwich you want - they have over 150 on the menu and they all pay homage to Italian celebrities. Its pretty awesome. The food deserves 5 stars but the service could be better. Even so, it doesnt stop me from ordering ever. Try the Connie Frances! You wont be disappointed. Buy their smoked mozzarella and take it home and eat it all. I love it here. Especially when you order a sandwich with chicken cutlets and its morning so the chicken cutlets are freshly fried. The portions are huge and prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get when you order. Eat the prosciutto balls. Yes!

Dude, holy carpe diem this place is primo to the tens! I got the #88 (layers of thinly sliced fried eggplant, fresh ricotta, sundried tomatoes, basil and pesto) and it was LITERALLY bigger than my freaking arm. Whoooaaaa, Tony! Gettovahere check this out! The shop is medium in size, they make their own mozerella, smoked mozerella, provolone and more offering deals like 5$ each or 3 for 14$. They bake their own breads with nifty stuff inside like tomatoes, prosciutto, provolone, or mozerella, and sell them wicked cheap. Vintage posters, vintage feel, vintage music and monstrous sandwiches make this place a must-go!

I was in the area for work, and was craving a good Italian hero. Glad I stopped here! Took me about 15 minutes to even decide on the hero I wanted, over 150 Italian heros at this place. Sandwhich was huge, top notch fine Italian cold cuts, fresh mozzarella tasted like it was made that day. Cant wait til Im in the area again, I might actually just take the 45 minute just to get another sandwhxih from this place. If your in the area you have to go here!

Sandwiches are great, I just had a bad experience with one of the workers there, tall mexican kid..very nasty, all I wanted to ask was a question about one of the sandwiches, he gave me a dirty look and said ill get to you when I get to you and walked away from me, pls leonis, your sandwiches are amazing but you dont want to push customers away just because of a nasty worker. ..thanks

Absolutely amazing sandwiches. A month later and I still daydream about the one I got. I have a hearty appetite and this sandwich was easily two meals. Very good value if you do it that way. If you are in bensonhurst or even nearby and want a sandwich with authentic New York Italian flavors, get in here and buy a sandwich. You wont regret it. Im regretting not living closer.

Id stay away from the city point location. They cant even follow simple directions. Plus they dont even have a full kitchen. Not going knock the entire menu for one sandwich but Id stay away from the meatballs. They were pretty tasteless. Sorry to say, the bread had more taste than anything on the sandwich. I wish I could give no star to post this.

People that dont give lionis not 5 out of 5 dont know what they are talking about . This place is great the best of the best . Yea it takes time but it takes time to make a great sandwich. Its called fresh. Go to subway if your in a rush this is art . Art of food everything is so great . I never write reviews but for lionis I had too.

Just came from Lionis. I was very intimidated by the impressive menu so I decided to go with what I knew. With a little help I made three excellent choices. The staff was professional with a hint of arrogance....the kind of arrogance displayed by professionals who know their business. Oh and the sandwiches......WORKS OF ART!!!!

Thank God my buddy knew to order on Seamless before arriving. He says they are notoriously slow. I had the John Franco and its was pretty darn good. Ive had better heros but this place is solid and worth a try. Oh I forgot, the rice balls were some of the best Ive had. Next time I buy some fresh mozzarella to bring home!

So many choices for heroes. Im talkin over 125 different selections. Probably the best homemade mozzarella in Brooklyn thrown onto the majority of sandwiches as well. Great atmosphere as well, everyones having a good time and youll always leave happy.

Hands down, the best sandwich you will EVER eat!! If you live anywhere within a 3 hour drive, do yourself a favor and take a road trip to get here. Its that good. My personal fav: The Alyssa Milano. (The sandwich, and the actress)

The heros here are a must try. Its packed with meats and other various toppings. On the pricey side but its totally worth it for the portions given. Just expect to wait for a bit while they craft your sandwich
