3 Specifics > When we walked in the door we were greeted with Do you have a reservation ... not welcome or hello >> Do you have reservation ... kind of rude actually... Then , when we got our food ( good ) , the tall younger balding gentlemen said, would you like pepper or grated cheese... we said ( sure ) he walked away and never came back. We had to ask .... and finally , and the most bizarre line I have ever heard to date >> from the same guy, Would you like dessert or coffee... we said no thanks ... and he said, and I quote >>> Let me have your credit card and I will run it !!!! I said what..., ? let me have your card...!!! Well, I need the check first .... right? Well, he said, I thought you were in a rush , NO , we just didnt want dessert or coffee.... and I am not giving you my credit card without seeing the bill RIGHT !!!! That was extremely strange and completely inappropriate and thus we wont be back... best of luck to you Allegria

I would like to be reviewing this restaurant about the quality of the food but we did not have the opportunity to get that far. Me, my wife and some friends decided we would go out for coffee and dessert this evening. We were told from another friend of ours that this restaurant had very good desserts. We came to try them out, not knowing what to expect since this was our first visit. We sat, placed a drink order and stated our intention of ordering dessert. The waiter left to place our drinks, but instead returned shortly and stated that we could not order dessert unless eating dinner. We could not believe that we were actually being asked to leave because we were not ordering dinner! All of the tables were not full, there was no line of people waiting to get in, we were not loud and obnoxious - we wanted to to have coffee and dessert! The service pretty much says it all for us. This is a restaurant that will NOT be visited again or recommended.

It was my first Time visiting the restaurant and only went for a pick up order. Spoke with the owner about a Groupon that I purchased and apparently could only be used for dine in. I did not know that about the groupon and he was giving me a really hard time and didnt want to let me use it. His was very unprofessional in his tone, and considering it was my first time as I customer, I was a socked and disappointed. After a couple of minutes of arguing and me threatening to leave the food and go somewhere else, he finally decided to let me use the groupon. After getting home with the food, I was even more upset with the taste and overall waste of time. The food was horrible and extremely over priced. I had the $18 priced chicken parm that was drenched in sauce(more like soup) and taste like rubber. Needless to say, I will never be going back to this establishement and would rather eat olive garden......if thats not bad, then I dont know what it.

Great independent owned Italian Restaurant in Brandon, forget those chain restaurant, you have have to check this spot out. Not a lot of seats in the place but it seats about 100 give or take. The food was outstanding and the wine selection wasnt bad and not overpriced. Me and the wifey will definitely be back try other dishes. I am a restaurant chef at a hotel in downtown Tampa and this is the BEST Italian restaurant we have eaten in Tampa. All I say is check it out and bring the family, support the locals and not the chains. The service might need some training, but I will take food over service anytime of the week. For date night it was good spot to just get out and spend quality time with my wife and not be bothered when we dont get out a lot. Thats wrong with people and chain restaurants, we are always in rush, turn and burn, spend time with people you love and take time to ask about there day. I eat to love, not love to eat....

Excellent! The food was very good, the servers extremely attentive and the service was quick! My 5-year old requested spaghetti and clams--the chef prepared her a special half order, which she devoured. My less adventurous 3-year old really liked the spaghetti and meatballs. My husband and I also enjoyed our meals. I was pleased to see gnocchi on a menu, its not a common item. The desserts were also delicious. It was like being surrounded by a family, even though its not a "kid" restaurant, my children were welcomed. Super cozy, friendly atmosphere. We will be back!

Horrible. Was really looking forward to eating at this place because it had a high rating but wow it was horrible! Wont be going back. Server was bad food was bad. They wanted to charge me $2 for no tentacles in the calamari which was already priced high at $12. They also charged $2 because I asked for ricotta with a side of meatballs. Husband ordered gnocchi ($16) and it wasnt even a full plate. They were charging 50 cents for each gnocchi. And it was drenched in sauce. I ordered the ravioli and that was $16 for 5. I will not be going back to this place.

We liked everything about this small detailed oriented establishment. The food was on point at all levels and is the best Italian in the area. Not quite home land authentic due to American pallets but very wholesome. We never have tried their family style evenings but from what we are told they may be ending due to lack of local understanding and/or demand. High quality ingredients, chef work and by far the best food in the area. Their seafood is eliquent and by far one of the best kept secrets.

This place is a hidden gem!! Food is very good and service was great. The price is mediocre for Italian food, around $60 for two people and a glass of wine but it is definitely worth what you pay for the food and atmosphere. Will definitely be returning. One thing I also liked about the restaurant was the chef or owner walked around to every table striking a conversation with the customers. This is something you dont see much nowadays and shows the restaurant truly cares about its customers.

The portion sizes were so small even for a light eater like me. If Im paying $20 for a pasta dish, I expect a nice portion with something leftover. Pasta is so inexpensive to make so to charge your customers $20 per plate and not be left satisfied is unnaceptable. Ive seen multiple reviews (unfortunately after I oredered) that share my sentiments on the inadequate portions. Too bad because the meals were good, I just cant see myself paying $20 for just over a kids portion of food.

About a month ago we were looking for a place to dine and happened on this establishment. It is a small property; however, the food is fabulous..very tasty. There were 3 of us and we each thought our entree was great. The staff is very engaging and went out of their way to make our experience a good one. If we are ever in the area again, we definitely will look this place up. And to the locals, dont pass up this place - it is an awesome dining experience.
