I grew up in Price Hill in the 80s and 90s I moved away . I was in the neighborhood Saturday 03/21/2015 and decided to visit Price Hill Chili a place I used to love to go to when I was growing up there. My partner and I were greated and sat in a closed section right in the path of the servers quarters , The Waitress was not pleased to see us and not unfriendly but not concerned with our service either. We both ordered 4 ways and a cheese coney . The chili was luke warm and the noodles were even colder barely any cheese and I mean barely any , I ate a few bites and spit out plenty of grissel and fat . I could not eat anymore . I said quite loudly that the chili is not like it used to be so the waitress cold hear me she was at the next table cleaning it . She didnt ask if i wanted anything else to replace the chili clearly i had a plate full of food and a cheese cony sitting there afetr we had been there for over 30 min with food in front of us. at the end she asked how is everything I said its kinda ok in a disappointed voice. she asked if we were ready for our check instead of asking me if iI would like something else . She brings the check and I pay , didnt ask if I want a box for my Uneaten meal that I am paying for. she takes my card and comes back standing at the table until I sign and write in the tip infont of her , still I left here a $5.00 tip thinking she could probably use it . still no offer of a box or anything else. she sits at the table right next to us and counts here money to close out and go home . I had to ask a random young man who may have been a busser to get me some boxes for the food I took home and eventually threw away anyway. BAD SERVICE , BAD FOOD . I am so disappointed I used to love that place it is in my blood to love that place so many memories and than this happened.

When I find myself on the west side of town I find myself gravitating to PHC. First off, their chili is better than Skyline or Gold Star, so they get a huge plus for having the best Cincinnati chili in my opinion. They also have quite an expansive menu, lots of options. Although I usually get their gyros or the chili. The decor is filled with tons of local high school sports memorabilia, and newspaper clippings of the local and national elected officials politicking here. The atmosphere provides the excellent opportunity for west side cultural experiences too. Where else will you see a Catholic priest drinking a beer with his dad? Or, watch the whole room spontaneously erupt into singing their high school fight song? Until I get an answer to this question, Ill be coming back to Price Hill Chili.

I visited Price Hill Chili last weekend and was deeply disappointed. Service was terrible and the food was less than stellar. My waitress practically slammed down the food and never once returned except to hand me my bill. I ordered the western omelet and one pancake. Lets just say that what I received wasnt even on par with McDonalds. The omelet was bland and the onions had a odd taste. Moreover the pancakes were not homemade and appeared to have been some sort of box mix. I will not be returning and agree with a previous post that the ratings for this restaurant are inflated.

For the first time in my life when I paid for my meal the waitress didnt aske me how was everything". I assume it was because she new the food was bad. So I had to tell her how bad the the four way was. She didnt offer a regret or anything, just took my money. The 4 way cilli was the worst Id ever had to pay for. If you want Cincinnati chili you will not get it from Price Hill Chili. The good reviews you see got to be from family, friends, or the owner and employees not the customers.

Food 2.5/3 - the chili was not warm enough but YES so much meatier than Skyline. Gyro was tasty. Even 10 piece chicken wing was good - meat is fresh, well fried, and honey mustard dip is just perfect. Interior decor is very family style, and comfy - loved it. Service was not bad, maybe could be better if we are regular there. It was a busy raining night so had to wait a bit, food was slow if really have to be pointed out despite its quality.

This place is a local favorite. If you havent tried it you should. If you have been here then you already know. Their chili is spicier then Skyline but good. The breakfast food is is very good any time they are open and their sandwiches are very good as well. You are as likely to see your neighbor here as you are to see a local celebrity, a local politician, someone nationally famous or the president of the United States.

Rich local neighborhood history. Neighbors have been coming here, and enjoying the great family food for about half a century. If the service seems a bit slow, at times, its probably because someone in the neighborhood just got married, had a baby, or grandchild, and everyone had to get caught up on the news. At those times, sit back & listen. Thats some of the ongoing history of the neighborhood your hearing.

We had a luncheon in the Garden Room for a group of 20. The servers were efficient and friendly and the food was delivered for everyone at the same time which I appreciate, making no one wait for their meals! We chose to offer an abbreviated menu with PHC favorites to our group. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is great. I would recommend Price Hill Chili to anyone wanting a true Westside experience!

Great place to go and our family and friends make it a point to go here every weekend. I would avoid being served by the owners granddaughters if at all possible. They generally have a bad attitude when compared to the rest of the staff. Its almost as if they are doing you a favor by waiting on you and always appear to wish they were somewhere else. Aside from that the place is great.

I always look forward to coming here. It doesnt matter what you get on the menu its all amazing. If you go once, youll keep coming back. The hardest choice is deciding which thing on the menu to get because its all so good. I wish I had two stomachs. This place is great. The service is amazing and Sam always makes sure everyone is enjoying the food and service. I highly recommend.

Stopped in for drinks and snacks after a show. Drinks werent refilled very quickly and the server wasnt very amicable. The dessert that we ordered, the Lava Explosion or something similar, was also a bit smaller than expected and mediocre. Overall, guess its a decent place for cheap drinks, but dont expect much.

Hostess seemed uninterested in working. Walked us into a stuffy, hot dining room and pointed across the room to a table for us to sit at. Waitress was much better. Good friendly service. Food was a bit pricey tho also good. Sandwich only, with no side dish, for over $6.
