For an Asian buffet, you really could do a lot worse than Kome. I havent had a chance to eat dinner here, but the selection at lunch was still pretty vast, and the price is hard to beat at $13 per person. I do recommend to stay away from the sushi. I wasnt expecting perfectly seasoned rice or anything, but they packed it together pretty densely. If you wanna eat raw fish, stick with the regular salmon and tuna. I could tell it was recently thawed because the texture was kinda stiff, but it didnt taste off and was fine for what it is. They had some more variety of fish, but this isnt the type of place to be adventurous. I noticed that there was a sign for aji, and I felt compelled to try it since its one of my favorite fishes to eat raw. Yeah, that was a mistake. The hot food was definitely better than the sushi. All the roasted meats were pretty acceptable, but be prepared to fight with other hungry patrons. Everyone goes for the roast pork belly and duck immediately so try to be swift. The noodle soups were also surprisingly edible. The egg noodles were a bit inconsistent with some being firm and others being soggy, but the soup had a little hint of dried seafood flavor. I was really not expecting that from a buffet. Wontons were mostly pork, but had some seasoning to give it more flavor. The beef stew was sweet with some notes of star anise. There was something in it that made the stew a little bitter (maybe ginseng?), but it became subdued when mixed around in the broth. Lastly, dont even bother with the dim sum. Overall, its really not too bad for a buffet, and dont feel sorry about pushing away the vultures encircling the trays.

At $25pp, it aint bad. Especially if you like seafood. No, you wont find Prime Ribs, Steaks, Teriyaki, American BBQ, Corn on the Cob or Fried Potatoes of any form for that matter But you will find Crab Legs, Sashimi, Cantonese BBQ, Sushi, Fried Rice, Noodles, Lobster, Stir Fried and Cakes and Sweet Soups. The Sashimi was not only fresh but the Wasabi was very strong, exactly how I like it. The crab legs are prepared hot, exactly how I like it. Mostly fine but some are tasteless. Which kind of makes you wonder if it went bad. Let me say the herbal sweet soup with Golden Fungus, Dates, , Almonds and Long An was incredibly delicious that I had 8 bowls. Thats right my family had to drag me out as I was compulsively addicted to it. I have never drank something so perfect. All in all, if youre a veteran open minded buffet-er like me and know what you like (in my case, the 3 items I mentioned), you cant go wrong with this place. Though I do not believe there is a right or wrong way to eat a buffet, I would recommend these few things, dont drink too much while at it if youre really there to eat. Keep an empty stomach and be hungry right before getting there. Theres also binge and purge if necessary-though thats a last resort. Dont stuff yourself so much that you are unable to move. Like a good meal, enjoy yourself. If this is a competition, theres a whole other set of recommendations though a lot of these are still core.

I went to Kome with my family today. I waited for the duck for about 10 minutes, the kitchens woman didnt cut the duck for me, and talked with her cowork. When I left, she cut them immediately for another person. I think this is not a friendly behavior. So, I complained to the manager, and talked about this problem. Waited for a while, the manager came back and took a small plate with 8 pieces of duck and told us it was free. When I heard I thought she was kidding, I paid for buffet and they said it was a gift. They didnt even apologize or anything for their unprofessionalism and bad customer service. 今天我和家人去Kome吃自助餐，因为我本人是个很多东西都不能吃的人，主要是陪我家的老人家过来吃。当我拿起第一个碟子的时候，就去拿我只想吃的鸭子，我就在跟我妈妈在等，然后这个厨房女工就切了三件出来，我妈妈取了，然后我妈妈就走去取其它食物，然而我跟我女儿在等她切出来，但是等了2-3分钟，我女儿和我说帮她拿二件，我说好吧，我就继续等，大约又过了几分钟，有个男人过来问有没有鸭子，这个女人就切了几件放在盆里，我就取了二件，就让这个男的取，可能他看了几下没有取就取了其它的，可能在盆子里的都很肥很差，所以他们也不拿。而我继续在等，但这个女的一直都不切鸭子，还在和旁边的女同事说笑。又过了几分钟，又有其他的过来想取鸭子，这个女的还不想切，可能看见我一直站着，后来我想算了，等一下再去拿，就取了几个虾子和一个蟹脚和少许炒面就回去坐位上，但我把头转过去看了她一下，她就把鸭子切了，全放到盆里，我想这是为什么呢？歧视，我觉得受委屈了，就把刚才的经过和她的女经理说了，就回座位等经理给我理甴，又过了大约十多分钟，女经理拿着一小碟有8小块的鸭子放在台上说＂这是给你们免费送的，当作是道歉”，我问为什么她这样对我，女经理说“不知道她为什么她这样做”，也没有说什么就放下走了，我觉得很好笑，我们吃自动歺

Kome Buffet on Junipero Serra, Daly City is the best Oriental buffet in the San Francisco Bay Area. All the meat and fish are of high quality, well cooked, and presented. The service was excellent everywhere from the hostesses to the waiters to the preparers behind the glass plates. Noise level is low considering the large amount of happy satisfied customers. We spent a wonderful Sunday here; I think we ate for almost two hours. There is nothing here that is average---everything is at a high level of excellence---otherwise we would not have stayed as long as we did. Finally, the desserts were exceptional. I ate several bowls of a Mango dessert. We came on Sunday so the parking next door was free. If you are coming off the freeway from the north, go straight on Junipero Serra(dont go left onto John Daly) and Kome is about two blocks down on the left. The parking garage is right next to the restaurant. At Kome they have little signs that tell you what the food is---I liked that. There is a wide variety of dishes. Finally, I noticed that the Vegetarians were happy with a good selection of vegetarian food also.

Right across the street from the Daly City Toyota dealer. Parking is hard to find during business hours. Small spot, seats about 12 max. If your looking for a good chicken and waffles spot in The Daly City area, THIS IS IT. I was a little skeptical at first, I walked in, it was slow, the guys playing slaps hell loud. They took my order and the food took about 15 min. When the food hit the table, my skepticism totally went out the window. 2pc chicken and waffles with greens Chicken perfectly fried, moist, juicy, tasty seasoning! Greens savory, just the perfect flavor! Red velvet waffle with the chocolate and frosting was the perfect sweet bite to for the rotation. I even tried the mac n cheese, again perfectly cooked, perfect taste of cheese. Hands down better then any chicken and waffle in Daly City. Halfway through the meal the guys even took the time to ask how is the food and they made sure we were ok. I definitely recommend you try it!! I definitely will return!!

Yes, its pretty cheap considering that you can choose from a width range of Asian fusion like sushi, classic Chinese dishes, dim sum and deserts. The issue is that none of the dishes is really good. A theme here is too much salt and certainly the usage of a lot of MSG and other artificial flavoring. In addition to that, the food isnt fresh. You can even see how they unwrap the frozen fish for sushi. The sushi has loads of rice and little fish. The fish is not fresh and very thinly cut. Its probably some of the worse Sushi I ate. Also the Chinese dishes are not good. The food has little flavor and the meat isnt fresh. The place gets very crowded and messy and they do a poor job cleaning up and keeping it tidy. The good thing is that the buffet is always well stocked and never runs out of food. I rather pay a few Dollar more for proper and more healthy food.
