I give the service and managers a 1 star, they have good food but pricey. The reason I give them a 1 star is Im disabled and have a small service animal. She is registered with identity and I have the notorized certificate. I called the night before to make sure I wouldnt have a problem. Mgr said no problem, she would leave a note for day mgr. That didnt happen. My best friend normally brings out, but she wanted us to meet her and her husband there at eastgate location. We where on the patio where the night manager said that she was allowed. As she needs to know she is my service animal and shes allowed into any public place with me. So, we just got our food and manager came out and told me my dog wasnt allowed, I said she is a service animal, shes allowed to be here. He then told me thats the only reason Im allowed there is because she is a service animal. He just told me she wasnt! Talks out of both sides of his mouth. So which one is it! What a joke, they need to be taught better. So I told him to give me to go boxes and left and told him I would never be back. I hope whom ever said something to the manager never has to have a service animal or them or there family. Hope someone says something to them. There was only one other couple on the patio and it was an older couple. You want people to respect you, then give respect before you get it. Furthermore, my mom is diabetic and hadnt had anything to eat since breakfast and she had to eat her cornbread before we could leave or she would of passed out. My dog was on her pillow in a chair next to me and away from table and she couldnt of jumped on the table, but nasty birds where every where. And there bottles of sauces and napkin holders was nasty and filthy. Get a life. Wont have city BBQ if my friend doesnt bring out because I will never step foot in that place again!!!!!!!!!!! But they didnt say anything to a young lady for smoking on the patio which isnt allowed at all!

The brisket was perfectly moist and flavorful. However it was on a thin hamburger bun which became quickly soggy from the moisture of the brisket. I would either go no bun or a nice piece of thick Texas toast. Collard greens were also very good. Just a little bit of spicy and plenty of meat. The person at the register had a slightly above neutral personality. Was greeted with a "what can I get you" with no smile. That is the only thing that kept it from a five. Someone else did come around and ask the guests how their food was which was nice to see. It would be nice to have a sign on the teas to see which one was sweet vs unsweet.

Having lived in both Texas and North Carolina, I had high expectations of City BBQ.. and they exceeded those expectations! A few years down the road, and I fear the corporate $$ mentality has come in. The meat does not have the same quality or flavor. Prices have also increased substantially. You might be fooling people that havent had the real deal... this stuff is just okay.. hope that you all make some changes to return the food back to its original quality!

This place is amazing. Me and my husband went there a week ago for the first time and as soon as we walk in the manager tells you exactly everything you need to know about the place and how to order if youve never been there before . The prices are great and the service is amazing. We ordered and had our food within 5 minutes of ordering it and the food was amazing I recommend going here for sure!! Also a lot of their profits go to charity you cant beat that!

First time, VERY impressed. TASTY food. FRIENDLY staff. Good prices. The best collards I have had since my grandma from Oklahoma past away, seriously. The most tender meat, tried the brisket and pulled pork sandwiches. Added two sides, fresh watermelon and Mac & cheese. Several selections of sauce at your table or ladled hot. Your own paper towel dispenser because its gonna be messy. This was great.

Typical American BBQ food. Not really a fan of their brisket, their smoked chicken breast though... Order it on Texas Toast and you will never want to order anything else from here besides this sandwich. Also, their peach cobbler is amazing, but I know it cant be good for you. Super sweet but tasty.

First visit there I ordered the ribs. They were very tough and rubbery. They offered to replace them but we were in a rush and didnt have time. Instead they removed them from my bill. Based on that they will get a 2nd chance at a better score depending on how that goes.

I bought my family and myself a barbecue sandwich. Mine was good, but two out of the four had really big gristles in them. My dad showed me his and it was a really big hard rubber like piece. The meat was moist that was a plus with me.

Great food! You get more bang for your buck. I paid $12 for a sandwich, drink, hush puppies and fries and had to throw some food away. A LOT OF FOOD! Great environment too. Real country-like on the inside. Definitely coming back.

If you need an event catered, big or small, they are GREAT! We have used them for family events as well as larger events for our kids sports teams. The food is great and the price is reasonable. Highly recommended!

Great barbecue! Plenty of options and you wont go hungry. One thing that is nice is that in addition to the regular fountain drinks you can get things like Grape Nehi or Ginger ale in bottles.
