Ordered through Grubhub today: choose two meat and a side (fries), dba burger, and a pulled pork sandwich. When we received the order, we were missing the pulled pork sandwich, even though we were charged for all items. We decided to call the restaurant, and "Shantara" informed us that that could not do anything for us. Then we called Grubhub, and the man was very nice and told us that he was going to speak to the restaurant and let us know. Then he called us back and offered a refund... which is what is expected since we got charged for an item that we did not get... But then I explained that one person did not get their food, thanks to this restaurant missing to bring us the item. Then he said that because of the mistake, the restaurant will allow us to reorder the item, at free shipping, and that we would get a banana pudding in order to make up for their mistake. Therefore, we said, Ok, and ordered again the sandwich and even more extra fries. Once we got the order, we checked, and bam we did not get any free banana pudding. They tricked us into getting a new order, and messed up the order twice in a row!! How can a restaurant be so careless??! Then we contacted the restaurant again and spoke to Chris, he was not even aware of this mistake. His staff did not inform him of their poor customer service. Then Chris apologized but still could not do anything else for us. THANKS FOR A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!

My first trip to DBA was on a Living Social special for moonshine tasting, bourbon tasting, meat sampling, and sauce making. This was a great trip! I liked the moonshine, bourbon was so-so, but neither of these is made by DBA, so to review the drinks would be silly. The food was very, very good. Ive eaten barbecue at most of the places locally and around the state and this meat on this day was as good as any of them. Ribs arent supposed to fall off the bone, though I understand thats how a lot of people like them. They should stick to the bone just a tiny bit if cooked correctly and these were perfect. The pork was moist and full of flavor, again perfect. The creamed corn was some of the best Ive ever had. Its tough to make barbecue exactly the same every time, and most of my favorite places have "missed" a few times, but that doesnt make them any less of a favorite. The chef/owner Matt led the sauce making instruction and his knowledge and passion was clear. I tried a couple of the house sauces and they were good. But in fairness, when making your own sauce thats probably the sauce youll use and thats what I chose. We tried all the bacons on the menu and all were good. I mean really, whats not to love about bacon? Just having several bacon choices on the menu raises your profile in my book. Try DBA, it was a great choice for me on this night.

Left Very Angry, I went to their National Pig Day Pig Out.. It started at 6:00 PM.. I arrived at my table at 6:05.. I looked over the all you can eat serving table and they had what I came for ribs.. No one was on the serving line for the next 30 mins .. Shorty after people started lining up and we didnt get out two side dishes or plates for another 15 mins. by the time I got to the serving table all the ribs were gone.. It was just a catering pan full the the rib and not a heaping full pan.. So I thought I get some pig and wait on the ribs.. After asking for ribs 4-5 more times and asking for the manager twice. They finally begrudgingly gave out table a rack from the kitchen.. Ribs were coming out the kitchen all night as I was sitting right by the kitchen pass.. It took me two hours for the ribs I came for.. manager had nothing but excesses and was clueless or unwilling to fix the problem.. The ribs are over cooked and dry and have way to much black pepper that thats all you will taste.. Try Fat Matts, Fox Brothers or Heirloom Market if you dont mind lower prices or standing in line...

Great BBQ. Much better than Foxs BBQ....which sucks up most of the oxygen in the BBQ review category. How is it better....the sides are much better imagined, on old standards like Mac n cheese, collards, Cole slaw and provide great innovation on sides like braised kale, which was phenomenal. The meat combo was awesome and had ample portions of the St. Louis ribs and pulled pork. The ribs were fall off the bone moist with the slightest bit of char, and the pulled pork was pink from being smoked and moist as well. I got a corn muffin.that was sweet and Savory that wetted my appetite for dinner. Only bad thing is they need to carry either sweet n low or stevia as artificial sweeteners rather than equal which is a neurotoxin and shouldnt be carried by any restaurant.

Great atmosphere and great service. Very good feeling of the place and the staff was very attentive, especially considering my date had certain dietary requirements, they were more than happy to change her side out for something else. However for actual BBQ, it was fairly substandard. Having spent plenty of time at BBQ joints all across Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Tennessee, this was probably the worst in terms of flavor. Very disappointed. Also we caught them on the night that their "rotating tap" was Bud Light. So many good beers out there, and this is on your rotating tap? Now normally on tap, yes, that is fine but I was hoping for something a little...better. Overall, probably wont go back, which is tragic.

The first clue should have been the many available seats. But we proceeded based on historical visits of positiveness. The pulled pork was cold and looked like the bits left at the end of a pan which made every bite very salty and peppery. Onto the mac and cheese, ok but luke warm along with the sweet potato tots that were not not hot but also soft. We didnt finish any of it and only ate a few of the tots. Of course the bartender never asked how was our meal because she probably knew. We left extremely disappointed with a plates still in front of us. Food and Service very poor. How much longer can this joint remain open?

I went to this restaurant because it was featured on ScoutMob. When it was time to pay, the server was unable to apply the discount. After waiting for her to try and figure it out for nearly 20 mins she finally informed my table that she would be unwilling to apply the appropriate discount. All of this was after the food took more the 45 minutes to arrive at the table. The waitress (Jessica) was rude and mislead us about the ScoutMob deal. I would not return to DBA unless I had several hours to spend on a lunch break. The food was only so-so and not worth the effort.

Comedy of errors - on a Tuesday night? Positives: Miller high Life still tasted like cheap beer should and food was quite good. Fried pickles rocked! Negatives: All our beer came at least half an hour late (we waited 1.5 hours for a salad despite multiple reminders?), when it came it was often the wrong order (fixed by taking the already open beer away...?). Also it makes you feel like a jerk to remind staff that you ordered an hour ago or that you really did not order this beer... All of this made it possibly one of the worst experiences I ever had at a restaurant.
