This is a chain restaurant that doesnt stand out, which is why I gave an average rating. The food is good, but its nothing special. That being said, its always busy during the expected lunch and dinner times. The only negative about this particular location is that its on the corner of downtown Centerville with busy traffic and limited parking. That makes getting into and out of the parking lot a challenge sometimes. The positive of this location is that its in downtown Centerville and right next to an awesome ice cream shop if youre looking for a good dessert.

after having great bar-b-q the last few weeks on my travels to St Louis, Texas and LA........... I was hoping for a something in Dayton to fill the Urge ------ all I got for the last few hours is the urge to hit the pot including as I write it tasted fine, nothing great, but either the ribs, dirty sauce or sauce squeezers gave me the squirts. wont be back to Centerville City Bar-B_Q anytime soon as they have a cleanliness issue somewhere in the food chain ---head elsewhere OH, and it aint cheap compare to STL, Florida or Texas

The absolute best in service and product. We take home food from out CityBbq at least once a week and enjoy every meal. We had turkey and sides from the store for Thanksgiving and looking forward to the awesome ham I picked up this morning. I got to know the servers and the cooks and the managers; it’s almost like Cheers, everybody knows your name and makes you feel welcome and valued as a customer. So glad to have you close by. My best friend and I frequent this place for lunch. I swear, they have the best brisket around (along with Star City BBQ in Miamisburg). Their sides like the corn pudding and vinegar slaw are killer too! I tried the quarter chicken finally...it was delicious. When ordering a family meal, you get TONS of food for the price. We always end up with leftovers for a week. I would eat this all the time if it wouldnt destroy my vascular system :)

Amazing in one word. The staff was so incredibly friendly and into providing awesome service. The food came out lightning fast and was beyond amazing, from the beef brisket, to the fried pickles, the green beans and pulled rib chipotle sandwich. All the sauces are unreal. The Swine Wine was incredible on the fries, a vinegar and spices concatenation. This is simply the best barbeque place around, hands down.

I live in Georgia. Have eaten BBQ in every "Top Award Winning BEST BBQ In The World" Known to man that is in Georgia. So Georgians say. HOWEVER THIS IS NOT TRUE!!!!!!!!! City BBQ anywhere in Ohio is better than anything you could get in Georgia. I dont know how they do it, but they put Georgia BBQ to shame. BBQ anywhere in Ohio is great. HOWEVER: CITY BBQ IS THE BEST.

A very below average experience. Ive been twice to the Centerville location and both times have been disappointed. The brisket and pulled pork have been dry and lacking flavor. The ribs however, have been decent. The sides (Ive tried them all) are mediocre at best. I can get the same quality food at the Kroger deli counter, definitely a let down. I wont be back.

In Miamisburg for business. Asked at hotel where the best bbq was and the recommended this place. It was awesome! Fast service, great ribs, potato salad, and baked beans. And the place was very clean and inviting. May never be back here again, but from a Michigan man, you buckeyes do pretty good bbq. Go blue!!

If there is better BBQ than this, I have never heard of it! The interior decor is perfect for a BBQ joint and the food is crafted with care. The real secret is the great online ordering with pickup so you can skip the long line and enjoy a "More Cowbell" sandwich or the family sized "City Sampler".

We have had Saturday lunch here since they opened and frequent evenings. We have had them cater our sons college graduation party, birthdays and even a funeral. We have use them for class reunion picnics and the food is always a hit! We travel in the South and their BBQ doesnt compare.

If you want to have a spectacular pulled chicken sandwich? Then go here!! It is absolutely amazing! All of their sauces are fantastic! I always get a plain chicken sandwich and switch the sauces up every bite. I stop in ever time Im in the area!

As a guy who lived in Memphis most of his childhood, this is a godsend. Ive had bbq in many places and this place really brings it home for me. The sauces are amazing, but arent actually needed. Meat is tender and juicy and just fatty enough!

Seems every place in Dayton area is counter service.. With no servers.... Was in the mood for some ribs.. "sorry sir we are out of ribs" What the heck?? We had brisket and pork sandwiches instead.. Which were tasty, and the beans were very good.

Decent BBQ, great price too for a family of 4. Ive found the most affordable places to eat out with family that ARENT McDonalds, etc., is Chick fila and Chipotle. And the pricing and quality of food here is on par with these establishments.

Great place. Food is good (not the cheapest, but its good). They have high chairs and the staff has been very friendly and understanding that kids make a mess sometimes. Portions seem to be on the bigger side so come ready to share.

Quick order, cook threw on an extra rib for me. Good lemonade. Oddly, the place was packed with sheriffs, state police, fire and rescue people and they were all carrying guns.

Nice variety of great BBQ meats and great sides. Meats come with add your own sauce, but are good enough to eat alone. Portions are big and the prices are reasonable.

The meat was not all that great it was a little dry and a little flavorless. The tea was okay. The sides are a busy also. The BBQ sauces were what kept the food lively.
