Ive been a regular at Memphis BBQ for years and they are consistent in their quality of both food and service. Their space is a good layout for medium-sized groups, say up to 20 people, if you give them a little advance notice. I see a lot of team lunches here, and Ive booked five or six myself over the years. Its hard to go wrong with their menu. My regular is the pulled pork, but their chicken is excellent as well, and their ribs are the best meat on the menu. That is not meant to take away from the brisket or the sausage, which are also very good. All the sides are good quality too; my favorites are the greens and red beans and rice. The BBQ spaghetti is an offering that is unique and I would recommend trying it as a side, you might like it enough to get it as a main dish the next time. Apart from their great menu, they have an advantage over a lot of other BBQ joints in that they have a full bar with a dozen or more beers on tap. For a BBQ place they also have a decent wine selection, so you can get a good drink regardless of your preference for beer, wine, or mixed drinks. Right now (summer 2017) they also have $3 drafts every Wednesday, which can be a motivator to brave the evening traffic to get over here.

I was taken here yesterday for my birthday. Ill have to say that the food is AWESOME! I had the Doughnut burger, and it was absolutely heavenly. The great blend of Krispy Creme doughnuts, cheese, the sauce and patty made for a great explosion of flavors in your mouth. It was so perfect you wouldnt want to swallow because you wont want the taste to end. My son ordered the fritters, and from the first moment it enters youre mouth youre surprised. The perfect combination of sweet, salty, and cheese. There wasnt one complaint at the table. The homemade pork skin with season on it was perfect. Better than any Ive ever tasted in life. In short, I would recommend this superb restaurant to anyone that appreciate great food. Cons: mad they out cooked me. Pros: Great, fun, and attentive staff (Thanks Diamonique). Awesome, flavorful food. Clean environment.

I have a saying that you should only eat at a BBQ place that has smoke coming out of it. I wished I stuck to my guns. There was no smoke. Also, they dont have any locations in Memphis, or anywhere in Tennessee at all. That should have been my next clue. I had a brisket sandwich to go. The brisket was not seasoned at all and there was absolutely no smoke flavor in the meat. The sauce came out of a bottle so theres nothing special about that either. I ordered a side of slaw instead of fries and they failed to mention that it already comes with a small portion of it. And the slaw did not taste good. It seems like it came out of a bag instead of being made fresh. My total bill with tax was more than $9. This food is too expensive to be this lousy. BBQ is all about authenticity and this place does not try to even pretend to be authentic.

I will NEVER eat here again! I used a $50.00 gift card to pay for my meal and I was told that their "system" would only allow me to charge up to $41.00 on a $50.00 gift card because of some gratuity SCAM! These people under handedly used the other $9.00 to lace their filthy piglet pockets or to pass the money discretely to the waitress. I was PERSONALLY asked by a manager if I wanted to use the $9.00 as gratuity and I told him NO that I would tip her separately! To my surprise I checked the balance on my card after I left and they took my money anyway! Assholes! Well guess who Im contacting? Clark Howard, Better Business Bureau AND the Visa company to dispute the charges. These people are low down and coniving! Too bad cause the food was good, but I dont like people who STEAL money from me!!!

This has become one of my favorite bbq restaurants. Even better than the food isthe service staff. They genuinely convey joy from being able to serve you their delicious food. Ribs are great and can be ordered dry (my preference) or wet. Brisket is mouthwatering. Try the Donut burger, mmmhh. My favorite dish lately is the Turkey Club sandwich because of the smoky bacon taste. Also can recommend the prime rib dip sandwich. If you cant tell, I have been working my way through the menu. I like every one of their sides and many are unique for bbq place - bbq spaghetti, cajun rice and beans and grits. Of course they have baked beans and collard greens, which are both top notch too.

My husband went today to have a quick bite He ordered the brisket sandwich at the bar and requested mayo. The server Denise at the bar repeated "Mayo" and he said yes mayo. It shouldnt matter what condiments you want with your food. Everyones palette is different. As leaving to the kitchen he could faintly hear her telling a customer his request for mayo. When she returned she slammed the side of mayo on the table with attitude and asked if he needed anything else. As soon as he finished his food she returned and asked if he was done!! What a shame! Where was the customer service? He didnt even want to order a cocktail after being treated as he was disturbing the employee.

Holy Moly grab a seat and get ready to chow down on some good and I mean GOOD cue!!!! Ribs were falling of the bone fantastic and the pulled pork on Texas Toast will make you belly pop a button on you shirt... But the icing on the cake is the hot PORK RINDS! !! If you like barbecue then you need to try this place ..... We are so happy we are actually thinking about buying more and putting it in the cooler for the long drive to Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Our Server Aubriy might be new but she is good and has a great personality. .. The Manager on Duty Lamont stopped by and is very knowledgeable about every minute of cooking time on each item...

Fantastic experience. We were seated immediately, our waiter was very nice and attentive but not to the point of being bothersome, the manager came to our table to make sure everything was good, the food came out quickly, and it was oh so good. I got the pitmaster sampler. Simply the best ribs Ive ever had, and thats saying something. Perfect bark and fell off the bone, smoky and juicy. The pulled pork melted in my mouth. Brisket was a little dry, but good flavor. Maybe they hired some new staff since these previous reviews were posted, because I had very little to complain about from my visit. Highly recommended.

Would give zero stars. Food served cold, spider webs on corners of booth seats, dust on seats, and the food tasted like it was warmed up in a microwave. I thought this was the part of the U.S. where theres suppose to be great BBQ? The only good thing was the large sodas and the French fries. Everything else was a let down. The sliced brisket was tough to chew and rubbery like it wasnt fresh and only a warm-up. Service was great, however. But we are NOT coming back. Prices not worth the sticky tables and seats. Very disappointed. 1st and last time coming here. Save your money and find another BBQ place.
