I hate to do this because I love this Bbq joint and its always been great, but I want the owner to read this to see what can happen sometimes when you leave the wrong people in charge of your place. Went there last night, Saturday Dec. 26th for dinner. Took a seat and ordered a "Big Smokey" combo plate. When the food arrived it was such a meager portion, not what Im used to here, and the quality of the food was very poor. I tried to get the servers attention but everyone had disappeared for a while. When I finally got her to the table and asked about the food, she said "thats the way it comes" and walked away. Four tiny cold strips of brisket, four miniscule overcooked chicken wings, and a tiny little portion of pulled pork, half what Im used to getting, old hard cold fries, and some good mac n cheese, all for 21 bucks. The entire time I was waiting to get the servers attention, I witnessed the cook stuffing his face with food, picking it up with his bare hands and shoving it in his mouth, and then preparing other peoples plates and then head out back for a cig break. Gosh! Lol. I was taken aback, plus, the people sitting next to me had the same problem. The gentleman exclaimed, "well if this is all we get I guess I need to order some more food because this ridiculous, what a waste of good money." I hate bashing on this restaurant, seriously. I work in the area in the daytime and eat here often. The owner is always there. The food is always great. Never had a problem, until last night. I hope he reads this and makes a few adjustments. I hate seeing a great bbq restaurant go down. The key to keeping a restaurant on top is consistency and great service. Getting what youre paying for is also very important. Im not telling anyone to stay away from here but rather use caution when dining in. Ask if the owner is present. If so, youre in for a treat. If not, caveat emptor.

William, I couldnt agree with you more “leaving the wrong people in charge of your place" . . . I just left this place minutes ago as a few of us from work had seen it on Atlanta Eats and vowed to check it out, so I did. WOW!!!!!! My dry rubbed ribs were extremely salty, and the sides (potato salad and mac & cheese were bland. However, I closed my meal leaving 15% on the tip. They were so salty I gulped my sweet tea, went to Wendy’s and got a Frosty. Contacted the manager expecting to hear – perhaps “a bad batch or off day, we can fix it type of thing.” NOT TODAY!!! Instead the manger - Chris said to me very loud and belligerently “I got your message sir and I am doing $30k a week on my ribs, I know people like it - so frankly I dont care what you think." Cant make this up . . . the rating on this site is just not low enough!! In that the food is highly overrated even by Chris’s “ I am doing $30k a week standards,” and his lack of quality control, self-control and service after the sale is going to be first and last impression I got of this company as a whole. Be warned, “Things are not always as seen on TV.” Thank goodness we still have (Daddy D’s, Wyatt’s and Fox Bros.)

They should rename it "The Greater Bad BBQ ". I got food poisoning!!! The best thing there is the sauces. The pulled smoked pork had charred parts but no smokey taste. I dont know what kind of wood they use but it is wrong. The portions were not consistent but, even though I was served a small portion, it was half raw un-rendered fat. I ate it all for I was very hungery and I dont want to make a scene and send it back but, I think that was my big mistake. The mac and cheese was horrible. It had some plain cheddar on it but if you got a bite without any it just tasted like plain noodles with grease and salt. This was must of the bites for there was very little cheese. The Brunswick stew was ok but bland. You definitely needed to put some sauce in it to give it flavor. They also thin it out with potatoes which were undercooked also. I wont ever go back!!!

Some friends and I was visiting from out of town. We wanted BBQ and decided to eat here!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!! When we arrived we was told to "Seat yourself" okay cool. Everyone else that came in they was seated by someone. They are rude, VERY rude and racist. My food was not good. I wanted to change my order but the waitress never came back. So I didnt eat it and wasnt gonna pay for it. We told another waitress about my food he basically told us he couldnt help us he would get our waitress...SMH! She never came!!! While leaving they didnt wanna separate our tickets he told us just split it in half & the owner had the nerve to tell us "Do us a favor, dont come back because we know our food good!!!!! THIS PLACE IS NOT BLACK FRIENDLY!!!!!!!!!!!

Solid, tasty BBQ - probably the best in this area. I love their smoked chicken and dry ribs and tend to order something along those lines. This chicken is perfectly seasoned and smoked! The flavor is really good and really does not need sauce. But I like sauce so I still use it. Their house sauce is nice but the Carolina is very good and tangy if you like a mustardy base. Mac and cheese is some of the best Ive had at any BBQ joint - not overly greasy. Baked beans go well with the mac and cheese. Ive had their greens, not bad but not great. The day I had them, they were a bit too salty. What I LOVE about them is the tacos. You can get rub tacos. RIB TACOS. Pulled rib meat and cole slaw. Try it and fall in love.

Ive eaten here maybe 6 or 7 times over the past two years. Its gone down hill unfortunately. Got the special "Carolina Pork" today. It was essentially pulled pork bbq sauce soup. Seriously, like brunswick stew but they decided to use bbq sauce instead. I dont know who thinks serving a bowl of bbq sauce slop is a good idea for a special. Ribs used to be good but after receiving over seasoned ribs twice Im through. Id really love to keep eating here but wont until some sort of communication is made about whos running the menu and prep. Seriously doubt the items served were the intended product.

This place is NOT the best BBQ place at ALL!!! I ordered the Hot Link plate and received cold sausages that were not hot at all! They need to learn the definition of Hot Links!!!! No they need to learn the definition of BBQ! Dont believe these comments we paid $40 for garbage bbq. Not only that when we got here there was ants crawling all over the BBQ Sauce! Never again will we eat here and I suggest you dont unless you want nasty ant infested BBQ! I will say the best thing about this place was our waitress she was very nice other than that..... DONT BOTHER COMING HERE!!!

My Family and I visited this BBQ spot last night. The atmosphere was great, service was wonderful but the food was just alright. My children told me that we were spoiled because mom cook so good. So if you used to having mediocre food of your wife cant well this is the place to go. You will think this is the best food youve ever had. The collard greens were a B-, the mac and cheese was a C, the brisket A-, the homemade fries B+, the pulled pork C-. We are just Foodies and this is our honest opinion, its a nice place but the food wasnt worth the money.
