Wow!!! My husband and I literally just left the restraunt and still have a whole container of food left over to take home. We live in a very small town in northern Minnesota and we are here for his job. Wanted to find something new to try besides the same old Mcdonalds and junk we only have in our area. All I can say is WE LOVED IT!!!! The flavors are something weve never experienced before. Cute quiet little atmosphere!! With respect..I love seeing their culture and hearing the way they speak. Ive not gotten to see much of the world but that experience made my entire night! Will definitely be going back again if not a few more times before we have to go back home to our little town in the woods!! Very very kind people!! Worth every penny and the tip!!

The food was outstanding. Definitely order a tea, theyre wonderful. A pretty small menu, but it gets straight to the point with meat dishes. They were already out of Lamb when we got there around 7 which was disappointing but understandable. We ordered the Steers Plate which we were directed to as being popular, but it was very appetizer-size. So, if youre hungry, make sure to order the main menu. Nice addition to the Grand Forks culinary scene.

So good!! Love this place! I frequently crave their rice and their chicken. We usually order the "dinner for three"; three meat choices and rice! Huge portion and easily shared among 3-6 people dependent upon how hungry you are. Last time I went I tried the tea and discovered how amazing that is too! Wonderful experience, tasty food, and friendly staff!!

Now this place has some super good food for real I never been there but someone ordered a to go box for me and brought it to me that rice is amazing and I will be coming in there to get more orders from now on. An excellent sampling of Somali cuisine. It was first experience with Somalian cuisine and I am hooked. The portions were very sizeable at a very reasonable price. The tea itself is a reason to keep returning to Steers. Probably the best value you can get in Grand Forks!

Delicious home cooked meal with rich flavors! We shared several dishes at the table; the meats were tender fall off the bone accompanied by rice and fresh vegetables. The owner and staff were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Owner greeted us right away, very polite. You can tell the second you walk in that it is authentic Somali. Absolutely amazing food, all of it. And if you are here, you have to try the tea.

This is the best food in town. The fish is cooked to perfection. The vegetarian bean plate was delicious, the samosas are the best Ive ever had, and the tea is warm and flavorful.
