We went to FC-BBQ in Richardson main/greenville location way back when. This is one of the authentic Cantonese restaurant there is. The thing about Chinese food is that China is a large country, hence the cuisine is as diversified as well. In other words, you have to order the Cantonese specialty, and you have to know what to expect. Otherwise, you can get unlucky and think this is no better than the usual Chinese buffet. Well, it is not the same beast. So .. 1. Seafood usually is good, again, watch out what you expect. The way Chinese eat fish, for example, is not going to be what you expect if you are Texan. 2. BBQ is tasty, but prepare to remove fat from meat yourself. 3. Noodle portion is going to be small, and it is a angel-hair type. 4. They will use traditional style to prepare food, so if you are healthy food up-teem, maybe you want to be careful what you order, and notch your expectation down accordingly. What I like? House crispy noodle, any fried rice (maybe not any, but I know young chow/beef/barbecue pork/chicken are good AND salt fish&chicken - my kids dig it, that wasnt what I expected), pork/duck/chicken BBQ, combination hotpot, orange beef, fried tofu with pork in home style. And there are many more .. Actually their good dish to bad (or just been average) proportion is pretty high. So my preference is just that, my own usual dance. You shouldnt be doing too bad after figuring out what you really like. I find this place pretty authentic as far as Cantonese food go.

Weve been to this restaurant many times and have taken out from this place often. I suspect the owners have changed over the years but the food quality has been consistently above average. Prices are reasonable but the quantity of food is also modest. Now the bad news. Takeout experience is poor. First, when I call in with an order, they always say "15 minutes". When I get there in 15 minutes, I usually have to wait 15 minutes for them to fulfill the order AFTER I pay (cash only so I cannot pay in advance). Even if I get there 30 minutes after I call in, it still takes 15 minutes AFTER I pay. Second, they do not give you a receipt and they do not itemize, which in it itself, is not a big deal (except to the IRS). Unfortunately, when I get home and check the prices on the menu, they always overcharge me by about $1.50-$2.00 (for 4 to 5 dishes) even if I add the 8.25% tax. Either they are charging me a "take out" fee or they are charging me higher prices than the menu prices (I always take home their take out menu so I know that the menu prices are current). Finally, for the past two take out orders, I found a couple of small rocks (1/16 to 1/8 inch in diameter) in Sesame Chicken. Initially, I thought that they were crystallized sugar, but they tasted like plaster. YUCK! Time to look for another takeout place!

Food is good per Cantonese standards. Service is HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! Waitresses are lousy, nude and disrespectful. Also, this restaurant is probably the only restaurant in plano that ONLY accept cash, no matter how you order. I dont know why and how the owner could endure such terrible wait stuff. Or perhaps they only treat people who can speak Cantonese respectfully. We went there because a Cantonese friend who lives away asked me to get her some roasted pork, so we decided we could just have lunch there. After we were seated, we were told we couldnt have the food we ordered from they to-go counter, even we also ordered two dishes for dine in. NOT EVEN A BITE! Otherwise they would charge us $5 extra. (For what!?) When our dishes are served, that waitress shoved them to our faces so nude that our napkin got in the food. And during the 20 minutes, nobody ever came ckeck on us. When we were ready to pay, the waitress asked me if I wanted the changes back in a tone like she deserved it. And then we wait 10 minutes, and she told her co-worker out aloud (everybody could hear her) that she FORGOT about it, because it was petty cash. I left her about 10% tip. I honestly didnt want to left her a penny, because tipping her is like a insult to any normal, good wait staff in that world.

Awful !!!!! The customer service is so so bad!!! When you walk in they dont hello and when you leave they dont say thank you or goodbye. Its about 11 employees which I believe is family and they communicate with one another very loud and playful with one another and they act as if the customer is invisible. The environment is not welcoming at all and I really believe they are making fun of the customers. I really felt uncomfortable. Also they only accept cash no debit or credit cards which is strange. This was my second time going to this restaurant. The first time I went with my family we dined in and the customer service and environment was uncomfortable. I decided to order a take out order the second time and the experience was WORSE!!! I ordered duck and pork and the order was cold they said thats the way it suppose to be. I never ordered Chinese food and they give it to u cold! Maybe I dont understand !!! But horrible this place should be shut down! The owners dont give a damn about the customers and evidently think its all a big joke!!! By the way I never write reviews but this experience I had too!!!!!

We found this place via Urbanspoon and Id have to say it actually exceeded our expectations. The only thing that caught us off guard was the CASH ONLY. I had to run to an ATM when we were done. Regardless, we should have had enough cash to cover the $27 we spent. We knew wed picked the right place when we walked in and everyone was speaking Chinese. They very quickly seated us (we came in on a Saturday night) and had us water and menus immediately. The menu was unbelievably expansive. Almost overwhelming. Im a huge duck fan, and ended up getting two duck dishes. The first was the duck wanton soup which was great and the duck and pork dish. The duck was a little fatty, but delicious! Seemed authentic to me. The wantons were awesome. Unfortunately the pork was almost cold which was a bit disappointing. My wife got the Chicken soft noodles which were perfect. All in all, this (to me) was authentic Chinese, for a great price. The servers werent exactly friendly, but the food was out extremely quick. The atmosphere was nice and comfortable. Were both really looking forward to going back.

The food here is great, which is unfortunate because the service is not worth returning for. We arrived 40 minutes before closing time. We were given roughly 2 minutes after receiving our menus and told we had to order right now. That was the very first thing said to us by the waitress; no hello or welcome. All 3 menus were then picked up even though the third person in our party hadnt arrived (she was 2 minutes away). Food came quick and after 5 minutes of eating the check was placed on our table. I ignored it and after 60 seconds we were told we had to pay right now. I put down cash (restaurant is cash only) and asked for change. I asked 3 times before she accepted me wanting change back. She returned with my change and told me it doesnt include tip. She waited at the table expecting me to tip her. I left nothing. We boxed up our mostly uneaten food and left. We were out of the restaurant before 9:30pm closing time. I suggested to the staff that they change their hours upon leaving. Terrible experience.
